After searching for another two or three hours, the two of them still hadn't found any more Attribute Fruit Trees.

Just as they were feeling frustrated, they noticed that the Five-Colored Irises ahead had thinned out, and they could vaguely see the shimmering of water.

"There's a water source ahead!" The two exchanged a glance and carefully made their way over to discover a small lake that wasn't very large.

To their surprise, several other Mutators, including the Ximen Swordsman, were already by the lake, looking up towards its surface, though it was unclear what they were watching.

Noticing Tian Xin and the others approaching, a Celestial named Chi Xiong greeted Tian Xin.

Those with names in the Chi Family were usually members of low status, without the qualifications to have a ranking, so they had to come up with a name for themselves.

Only the high-ranking members could have names with numerical rankings. Ordinary Celestials of the Chi surname were not allowed to include numbers in their names.

"Chi Xiong, what's going on here?" Tian Xin approached Chi Xiong to chat, while Lin Shen stood by his side.

"There's a Sword Orchid in the middle of the lake," Chi Xiong said.

Lin Shen and Tian Xin both saw the Sword Orchid growing in the center of the lake; it was even larger than any they had seen before. Just the part sticking out of the water was over a hundred meters tall, and it was unknown how long it was underneath.

What Chi Xiong was emphasizing clearly wasn't the aquatic Sword Orchid itself. The two looked more closely for a while and soon discovered that amidst the leaves of the Sword Orchid, there was an Attribute Fruit Tree growing.

The part of the Attribute Fruit Tree emerging from the water was three to four meters tall, with at least a hundred colorful Attribute Fruits hanging from it.

Because it was positioned in the center of the Sword Orchid, most of the Attribute Fruit Tree was blocked by the large leaves, only visible from certain angles.

"Is that Attribute Fruit?" Tian Xin asked, his eyes looking toward Lin Shen.

"Definitely Attribute Fruit, what else could it be?" Chi Xiong thought the question was directed at him and casually answered.

Lin Shen nodded slightly; those indeed were Attribute Fruits.

"Why haven't you gone to get them?" Tian Xin asked, somewhat puzzled.

Although flying was highly taboo on Giant God Mountain, it wasn't forbidden, primarily because flying could easily attract the attention of other creatures from different parts of the mountain. Hence, ascending and descending the mountain usually didn't involve flight.

This area had no other creatures; low altitude flight to pick those Attribute Fruits should not have been a problem.

"Can't fly, there seems to be a no-flight zone above the lake. Entering the range over the lake will make you fall into it," another Celestial, Chi Ba, said.

"Is there something strange in the lake?" Tian Xin immediately looked towards the water. If it were an ordinary lake, they would have swum across long ago.

But after looking carefully for a while, Tian Xin still couldn't find anything in the water.

Chi Xiong nodded and said, "There's a kind of transparent, filament-like creature in the water. If you don't look carefully, you can't see them at all. But once you fall in, those creatures wrap around you, and it's quite troublesome."

After Chi Xiong's explanation, Tian Xin looked intently at the water again, but he still couldn't see the transparent filament-like creatures they were talking about.

"Don't bother looking. If they were visible, we wouldn't have suffered just now," Chi Xiong recounted their recent mishap when they had just arrived.

Luckily, it was only Chi Xiong who had flown over the surface of the lake and, after falling in, had been ensnared by the transparent filaments, unable to move. Chi Ba, who was on the shore, came to the rescue and managed to pull him out.

According to these two brothers, those transparent filament creatures should all be Crystal-based Creatures, but after severing the filament creature, there was no kill prompt on the watch.

"No wonder you're all just standing here, not going for the Attribute Fruits," Tian Xin said, also feeling somewhat headache-inducing.

Celestials generally are not adept at underwater battles, and even though Tian Xin could swim, he wasn't particularly good at it.

Otherwise, back then on the Realm King Planet, he wouldn't have ended up so bedraggled while killing a mutated creature in the sea.

Flying was not an option, and with who knows how many transparent filament creatures in the water, getting those fruits was indeed no easy task.

"Can't we just walk on the water to get across?" Lin Shen interjected after listening to the conversation.

Chi Xiong and Chi Ba clearly did not hold humans in high regard, not nearly as courteous to them as they were to Tian Xin.

Chi Xiong snorted coldly, "If you think you can walk on water and pick the fruits, then go ahead, we won't compete with you."

"If we could walk across the water, do you think we would just stand here watching?" Chi Ba also added.

Lin Shen didn't take offense at their attitude; his mindset was very inclusive and he continued in a friendly tone, "Why can't we walk on the water? With your speed, walking on water shouldn't be difficult, right?"

"Haven't we just said it? There's something wrong with this lake; you can't fly over it, much less walk on it. A strange force will pull you right into the water. If you don't believe it, go and try it for yourself," Chi Xiong said.

Clearly they must have already tested with a pet, and trying to get across from the surface of the water was futile.

Lin Shen looked over at Ximen Swordsman and Tian An, who also hadn't dared to enter the water to collect the fruits because of this issue and could only think of a way on the shore.

Ximen Swordsman had gotten hold of a long rope somewhere and tied a Crystal Base spear to the tip.

He used the spear like a javelin, throwing it over, trying to lodge it in the leaves of the Sword Orchid, then use the tension on the rope to rush over.

Unfortunately, the spear had not traveled far when it seemed to be grasped by some force and plunged headfirst into the lake.

The water immediately filled with dense transparent filaments, much like transparent fishing lines, which wrapped around the airborne spear, pulling the spear that fell into the water toward the depths, and in an instant it sank and disappeared without a trace.

The rope tied to it also snapped from the place where it touched the water; this method was still impossible.

For a moment, everyone felt somewhat at a loss, watching so many Attribute Fruits yet only being able to stare helplessly.

After witnessing Ximen Swordsman's attempt, Lin Shen had a thought.

"It seems that those transparent filaments can't emerge out of the water?" Lin Shen said, closely observing the water surface.

"Indeed, those transparent filaments can't leave the water, but as you've seen, nothing can pass over the water; they would definitely be pulled into the water. Whether or not they can emerge out of the water, the result is the same," Chi Xiong said.

"If that's the case, then perhaps I can give it a try," Lin Shen thought to himself.

He had the Floating On Water Skill, and although at first Lin Shen felt this Fire Seed skill was of little use, upon further reflection, he realized it had practical applications.

For instance, in this lake where others couldn't fly across and would be sucked into the water.

The Floating On Water Skill, like the Seven Steps of Conflict, was a rule-based skill; as long as his speed met the standards of the Floating On Water Skill, he would be able to walk on the water surface, and no force could pull him down.
