"Fuck!" Tian Xin woke up to find a Black Crystal Stoneman standing in front of him, startling him so much that he immediately threw a punch at the Stoneman's head.

Luckily, Lin Shen reacted in time, making the Black Crystal Stoneman step back to dodge Tian Xin's punch, otherwise the Stoneman's head would likely have been smashed to pieces.

But once the Black Crystal Stoneman was some distance away from Tian Xin, Tian Xin suddenly felt dizzy again and then thumped to the ground.

"Haha, this is interesting, these fruits grow on the little tree but can cure its sleep disease. However, just by the scent of the fruit, you can't completely cure the sleep disease; you probably have to eat the fruit to fully recover," Lin Shen speculated quietly to himself.

He only speculated as such, but didn't dare to do it; if eating the fruit caused any harm to his body, that would not be good.

"Without me, you would probably have died here a long time ago, I'll take a fruit as thanks for saving your life, no need to be polite." Lin Shen took one fruit for himself and stored it away, leaving the remaining two back in the box.

With the fruit in his possession, Lin Shen was no longer afraid of contracting the sleep disease. He took out some of the Luminescent Beast's Ascension Liquid and just barely licked it.

Instantly, he felt his eyelids getting heavy as if he couldn't keep his eyes open, and Evolution Theory started to circulate frantically.

"This stuff is really powerful, it's super effective for treating insomnia, a true blessing for insomniacs," Lin Shen exclaimed in surprise and delight.

Having collected so much sleep-inducing Ascension Liquid, he could later apply it to his weapons, using it as if poisoning his weapons.

Just imagine, one stab and as long as the opponent is wounded, they would quickly fall asleep; that would be incredibly cool.

Perhaps because of the effect of the fruit he carried, his drowsiness soon dissipated significantly, and Evolution Theory wasn't circulating much anymore.

Lin Shen quickly put the fruit into a sealed bottle, and instantly the drowsiness hit him again, causing Evolution Theory to start circulating frantically once more.

Lin Shen struggled to stay awake, and after a while, the feeling of drowsiness gradually faded, and then he licked some more of the Luminescent Beast's Ascension Liquid.

After repeating this a few times, Lin Shen was basically immune to the sleep disease and finally stored the Ascension Liquid away.

He had the Stoneman place the fruits beside Tian Xin again, then took back the Stoneman.

Before long, Tian Xin woke up again.

"What happened?" As soon as Tian Xin woke up, he jumped to his feet and cautiously looked around.

"You almost died just now," Lin Shen said, after slightly altering the story, to Tian Xin.

He didn't explain it too complexly, simply telling Tian Xin that after he picked the fruit, the little tree turned to ash which put him to sleep, then a Luminescent Beast came to eat him, but Lin Shen killed the beast and saved Tian Xin.

Tian Xin felt that Lin Shen couldn't possibly be so kind as to save him just out of goodwill, and must be aiming to please Tian Xun.

But the fact that Lin Shen saved him was undeniable, regardless of the reasons, and that fact couldn't be changed, which really frustrated Tian Xin.

"As compensation for saving you, I took a fruit. That fruit can counteract the sleep disease. If you keep it on you, you won't fall asleep. Just don't let it get too far from you, or you'll still fall asleep," Lin Shen explained.

"Hmph!" Any bit of good feeling Tian Xin had begun to feel towards Lin Shen instantly vanished when Lin Shen took a fruit without permission.

Tian Xin didn't mind losing one fruit; had Lin Shen waited for him to wake up and offered it himself, Tian Xin would have accepted.

But taking it directly like that clearly belittled him, and Tian Xin was very annoyed by it.

Nonetheless, since Lin Shen had saved his life after all, Tian Xin didn't say anything, but he carefully stashed the remaining two fruits close to his body.

He also thought that eating the fruit might permanently cure his sleeping sickness, but like Lin Shen, he dared not try it lightly.

Tian Xin planned to wait until he returned to Tian Xun's side before deciding whether to eat the fruit.

With this experience, Tian Xin dared not be careless anymore.

"In light of my cousin's face, I'll allow you to search for the Attribute Fruit with me. However, of the Attribute Fruits we find, we'll split them sixty-forty, with me taking sixty and you forty," Tian Xin said, staring at Lin Shen.

"Agreed," Lin Shen said with a smile.

After all, a person could only eat one Attribute Fruit; eating more was useless. Lin Shen only planned to get a few for his sister, Wei, and the others. As for his second and third brothers, they definitely weren't Mutators, and the fruits would be useless to them.

He was unaware that Wei Wufu had become an Ascender when he arrived, and he still thought to save one for Wei Wufu.

After reaching the agreement, the two set off again, searching for Attribute Fruits in the grass.

The daytime on Giant Ring Star lasted for over eighty hours. They had spent some time on the road, and the delay had been long; less than seventy hours remained, plus a few hours were needed to descend the mountain, so time was tight, and they needed to speed up their search for the Attribute Fruits.

Fortunately, their luck wasn't too bad. After searching for a little over an hour, they found an Attribute Fruit Tree with two fruits hanging on it.

This time, Tian Xin didn't dare to go up and pick the fruits himself but looked towards Lin Shen.

He felt that this Attribute Fruit Tree was no different from the one they had found earlier. The fruits also looked similar, and he wasn't quite sure whether these were genuinely Attribute Fruits.

"There's no mistake here; these are Attribute Fruits." Lin Shen took out his notebook and compared it. All the characteristics matched, and there was no hint of black inside the fruits, which meant they were indeed Attribute Fruits.

Tian Xin, once bitten and twice shy, didn't dare to pick them himself and summoned a humanoid pet, instructing it to pick the fruits.

After the fruits were picked, the snow-white tree immediately withered into flying ash, which scattered with the wind.

"I'll hold on to the fruits for now; we'll split them when we get out," Tian Xin said, pocketing the fruits.

Lin Shen didn't mind and let Tian Xin take the fruits. They continued searching for more Attribute Fruits.

The valley on this planet was astonishingly vast. After wandering for more than ten hours, they hadn't encountered any other Mutators picking Attribute Fruits.

In those ten hours, they collected a total of five Attribute Fruits, and Tian Xin gave Lin Shen two, settling their division.

"Well done, Little Tian Xin," Lin Shen gave Tian Xin a thumbs-up. He had thought Tian Xin would have ingested the fruits but hadn't expected him to actually share.

"If you keep calling me that, do you believe I won't kill you right now?" Tian Xin said angrily.

"You don't like that nickname, huh? Well, like Tian Xun dear, I'll call you my little nephew," Lin Shen said after careful consideration.

"You wouldn't dare!" Tian Xin felt weary at heart and said through gritted teeth, "Just call me by my name."

"Alright then, Tian Xin it is," Lin Shen nodded.

Tian Xin still felt something was off. His name, which had previously seemed very normal, and had never been a problem.

But why did it feel so wrong when Lin Shen called him by it?
