Primordial Soul's Rebirth

CHAPTER 387 - Training with Selina 1.

"From what I understand, you're quite skilled at pulling the space around you..."

Selina muttered as she stared at Alex, wondering what she should teach him next.

"What?"

Alex, however, just tilted his head, unable to understand what she meant, causing Selina's eyes to widen a bit before she sighed.

"Don't tell me you had no idea what you've been doing all this time..."

Her words only puzzled Alex more, causing Selina to let out a sigh in defeat.

She had seen this happen so many times that she was now slowly growing immune to it.

Every time she questions Alex about a particular thing or explains something about space, it would be either that Alex didn't understand it for a second before he started executing it with masterful precision, or it would be that Alex would understand that thing in mere seconds.

Selina had been teaching Alex more about space elements for the past three days while also trying to get to know him better, and the problem she had been facing whenever she looked at Alex or had any thoughts about Alex wasn't coming up anymore.

It was as if it had been suppressed by something.

But one thing was sure: the more she knew about Alex, the more she discovered the anomaly surrounding him.

She was sure that Alex had a secret, a very deep one at that, and although she wanted to peer through those barriers and look at those secrets, she knew that it wasn't possible.

All she could do was get the most out of this training session, which she didn't think would go on for very long.

She had yet to learn something out of this training session, as she had yet to teach everything she knew to Alex, but the more she taught him, the more she realized the disparity between their talents.

He was like a guy who had everything he wanted; he just never tried to use them.

No matter what it was, as long as she showed him how to do it, he would be able to do it.

It was happening so much that by now, her definition of impossible had changed.

The talented people in the younger generation didn't look anything in her eyes now; she even felt ashamed to call herself a genius in front of Alex.

"I'm talking about the short-distance teleportation you do, moving from one spot to another within your line of sight."

Selina finally explained to Alex what she was talking about, causing his eyes to light up with realization.

"Ohh! You mean zapping?!"

Alex exclaimed, snapping his finger, blinking from one spot to another before appearing right in front of her again as if demonstrating the skill, causing Selina to sigh again.

"Yes, this is what I am talking about."

Selina nodded her head with a tiered expression, wondering how her master could still remain the same after teaching Alex for a while.

She still didn't know that Azaroth had never really taught Alex anything other than answering a few questions Alex had.

There was one thing she knew though, and that was the fact that Alex was strong enough to kill her if he wanted to.

This was something she found out the day Alex defeated Theron.

At that time, she could do nothing other than stay frozen in her spot, disbelief visible on her face.

But at that time, her shock was broken by Valerius's words.

"If this is enough to shock you, then I wonder what you would do if you were to know the full extent of his powers."

She could clearly remember Valerius's expression at that, and she could vividly recall the flash of fear she saw in his eyes.

When she asked him about it, all he told her was...

"He is strong enough to corner all of us four generals at the same time."

Those words shook her whole world, much more so when she later, after talking with Azaroth, found out that there was a fight between all four generals and Alex, resulting in the situation Valeius spoke about.

Fighting all four generals at the same time...

Even she wasn't sure if she would be able to do it, so the only conclusion she could come to was that Alex could defeat her, but in some corner of her mind, she still thought that there was a chance that she could defeat Alex.

The thought that she shouldn't teach Alex, as it would only make him stronger, also came in her mind once, but then she just laughed it off.

'Why am I believing that I'm the only one who can teach him??'

That was what she thought at that time.

How could she forget that there was Azaroth who could teach Alex as well?

She was just someone who could teach him a bit more than Azaroth, but that was not something Alex wouldn't be able to do by himself.

If she could do it, then Alex could as well—she knew this after observing Alex for the past three days.

Soon, she shook her head, breaking out of her thoughts as she stared at Alex with a defeated look.

"How have you been doing it all this time if you didn't even know what you were actually doing?"

She questioned, as she could tell that Alex didn't even know the exact mechanism behind the zapping technique.

"Hm? Well, all I did was picture myself where I wanted to be, and the next instant, I'd be there. I do have to concentrate really hard, though."

Alex answered her question with a shrug, causing her to freeze for a second.

'Does the space listen to his command and do what he wants?'

That was not something possible for anyone to do, or at least that was what she thought.

Her thoughts got muddled as she recalled everything Alex had been doing for the last three days—his exceptionally fast learning ability, along with his ability to just do things because he thought he could do them—all of them started to play in her mind.

'There's no way... right?'

Her gaze, filled with uncertainty, turned toward Alex, who stood confused, wondering why Selina was having such high-grade shock when she had already seen what he was capable of doing in the past three days.

He didn't know the reason for her disbelief, or he would realize that Selina was pretty close to discovering one of his secrets.

Well, it was not like he wouldn't tell her if she just asked about it, but she didn't know that, so the next second, she picked up a rock from the ground.

They were on a secluded island right now, far away from any living being, as they didn't know how violent this training session of theirs could turn; the space element was known to be one of the hardest to control while also being one of the most destructive elements after all.

That was why they selected this place, far from the ground and deep within the waters, not close to any aquatic empire.

As for what and how many aquatic empires were there? And how did they function? All of this would be found out soon enough, as Alex had already set his eyes on something in the seas.

Right now, however, he was looking at Selina, who seemed to have something on her mind.

"I will throw this stone in that direction. It won't be very fast, nor too slow. Your task is to bring the stone back."

She began, causing Alex to raise a brow, but before he could question something or even speak, Selina raised her hand and continued.

"Let me complete."

Her words paused Alex as he nodded his head, gesturing for Selina to continue, so she spoke again.

"You can't simply rush over and retrieve it; you must use your space element to bring it back, and you cannot move from this spot."

Her words caused a light of intrigue to pass through Alex's eyes, making him wonder what Selina was really up to, but he just nodded.

"Alright, I'm ready."

His gaze turned sharp as he focused in the direction Selina had mentioned earlier, causing Selina to nod before she launched the stone ahead.

*Woosh*

The piece of stone whistled through the air, moving toward a tree, probably going to hit it, and looking at it, Selina suddenly added.

"You have to do it before the pebble hits the tree."

The added conditions caused Alex's brows to frown before he extended his hand toward the stone, making a grabbing motion, wishing to see it in his hand, all of his focus on that exact thing making his world go silent, and the next second...

*Woop* Experience new stories on empire

*Grab*n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

In an instant, the stone, which had been cutting through the air, ready to pierce through the tree, and just an inch away from doing so, disappeared from there, only to appear in Alex's fist.

The moment he did so, a smile formed on his lips.

He didn't know what Selina had to achieve from this, but since she put forth a challenge for him, he didn't mind doing it.

"Anything else?"

He turned toward Selina with a triumphant smile, asking if she had any more tasks, but he frowned the moment he saw her shell-shocked expression.
