Isekai Journey Of The Magic Archer

Chapter 1028 Farewell, friends

[Eon's POV: ]

The test for me ended with me telling the headmaster a few things that though not that unreal, were pretty unbelievable to him.

I told him about the application of the quantum physics that the people of my world had done, the stage they had reached with their technology, and how there was no magic at all.

I told him how despite not having magic, they were able to reach a point that was not believed to possible even in the theory of this world which had never lived without magic or the magical energies.

'Many things about my previous world were unbelievable to him, but since I was the one saying it, he had no choice but to believe those things even though he did not really have any evidence to believe that piece of information.'

I was telling him something only Rein and Zoe knew, not even my mom knew about these things and hearing about it only made him confused and bewildered.

There were many things in this world that were far unbelievable compared to what existed in that world, but the fact that there was nothing like magic, nothing like skills, nothing that could be called normal or simple in this world shocked him the most.

'It was a natural reaction actually since the skills that people are born with or the creatures naturally possess is something that has always been part of this world.'

It's like common sense: something that isn't that common.

For someone like me, for someone that was from a different world like mine, for someone who had seen that kind of things, what I tell them is pretty simple but for someone one that had only lived in a world that had inherent magical elements, a world without magic would be the biggest kind of fantasy.

'We did not even have magical creatures in that world.'

I told him how there were simple creatures in that world without any skills or powers. How they were pets of the humans, and how humans were the only intelligent life form that existed.

'Well, I obviously told him a bunch of lies as well, but he believed most of those things and didn't get many chances to call out my bluffs.'

It was a fun three hours that we spent, and he wanted to know more as well, but I don't think he will get to know more about this. He will have to try pretty hard if he wants me to somehow tell him about those things as well.

It was going to take a long time. It was going to be difficult for him to convince me as well, but all that aside…

"When will we get the food!"

"I'm hungry!"

"Lucifer! Is this some kind of prank!? We have to leave soon! My family is waiting for me!"

Our end term exams were over. And now that it is over, I'm not going to talk about how it went for everyone, how everyone had a different kind of last paper and how everyone still managed to get past it.

The tests were good, some were complicated but nothing as difficult as those bitch Cultists. They were the worst.

"Yes yes everyone! We are starting in five minutes! Please wait!"

So, now that we were done with the tests and many people had to leave the islands and go to their houses to take the next airship, we had gathered in the grand cafeteria of the academy itself.

'Instead of going too far, we simply invited everyone here and since we were preparing for the last two days, we were able to get things done in no time at all.'

The food was ready, the decorations were already in their place, a slow music was playing, everyone had gathered here as well, even the teachers were here to see what was going on here…

'We received permission to use this place from the council and the headmasters and though it took time, here we are.'

We were waiting so that everyone that wants to be here gets here before we start, and since this whole thing was for the enjoyment of the others anyway, even though we only wanted it to be for our close friends, we were expecting this level of public.

"Look at these people… they're only here for the free food."

Rein never liked it when people only came near us for something we were giving out for free or for some selfish reason.

She didn't mind it when people stuck around even after having selfish intentions at first but when they only saw their own good before going on their way and then badmouthing me for various things, she genuinely wanted to crush their hands.

'She didn't like these people, and sadly, there were a little too many like them around us.'

Even right now, aside from the group that is usually with us and the teachers that we didn't mind, there were simply a little too many that might have just heard about this and were dropping by to eat my food.

'If it was limited to just eating the free food and minding their business, I did not mind them either but like the ones that were complaining about Their precious time, there were a few that even I did not like.'

But I understand that they are young and oblivious to the worldly things happening around them.

Seeing them reminds me of the normal people that still exist in this world, normal people that do not know about the things that they shouldn't know about or are aware of how the world around them was getting destroyed by evil people.

'I laugh it out most of the time, but still, Rein finds most of them annoying.'

She doesn't like it, but they aren't annoying enough to make her act out. She had dealt with annoying superiors in her early life, she had fought on the battlefields and she had dealt with annoying insects in many of the forests she goes to.

'She has a unique kind of luck that makes things troublesome for her most of the time, but then again, it is a good thing for her.'

Anyway… we were done waiting.

"Alright~. You can start now."

-Ooooooong!

There was a barrier around the place where the food was going to be served by the academy helpers, which got lifted after I announced the start of our farewell party.

"Haaa…"

Seeing all of them rush to the counters to get their plates or for those who already had their plates, it was pretty funny to see them get in the queue that was already there even before I announced the start.

'They were here for food for most parts, but since so many people were here, they were going to take this chance and say their goodbyes to the people that they knew and wish them happy holidays.'

It will be a long vacation so we won't be seeing each other for a while now. But still, thanks to Maginet and the communication methods, we were going to be connected.

It won't really be that long before we can meet once again, but this vacation will be long… especially for people like us who are going to spend it in an unfamiliar environment.

"You don't have to do any of this, you know?"

"And yet he does it…"

Tia and Liz watched everyone with us from the balcony area of the cafeteria.

We were standing above and there was a separate section for us here, but the rest of them weren't going to get up here. Experience more tales on empire

They weren't allowed here so the ground floor was all that they could be on for today. They also had to go soon so arguing with me was pointless.

"We already talked about what we are going to do for the vacations so I don't know what to talk about anymore." Bell was confused as she looked around herself.

The people present here… she had known them for a long time, so seeing how close we have become just seems funny to her.

There was Alf, of course, but the other ladies that she had a deep bond with, the other boys that helped her whenever she needed it or helped her with things that she could not do herself.

She wasn't a house captain, many in our group weren't even though the group consisted of captains.

Many things weren't easy for her, and she would have faced difficulties if she were to do most of it by herself… but having these friends made things much easier for her.

'Her academic life until now was unexpectedly fun with all the special things we did together. And she seemed thankful for these experiences.'

And she was not the only one that had these feelings… most of us were the same.

"I'm going to miss you all…"

Coming from Hide, this was a surprising statement.

But, it did not get any funny reactions.

"I'm going to miss you all as well…"

It was the same for most of us who weren't going to see each other for a long time now.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

'The vacation will be around two months, a little longer perhaps depending on the headmaster's evaluation of the situations around the world.'

But it was going to be pretty long… and even though we had Maginet and ways to be in contact, I don't really think we will be talking much even with those methods.

"Being in the academy is not that bad, right?"

Zoe was trying to cheer everyone up… but even she knew she was going to miss them.

It was inevitable, for all of us.
