Chapter 370: Epilogue 2: Business Center
General Ryan stood in front of the tall buildings in front of him. His expression looked somewhat apprehensive. If someone told him many years ago that he would become the leader of such an advance city, he would tell that person off.
After all, he himself still felt that this was somewhat unreal.
"Brother, why are you standing there?" General Ryou looked a bit perplexed. There was nothing strange, right?
"It’s fine." General Ryan shook his head. "How’s the cooperation between Dylan’s family and White family?"
The two families had been working together for the past decade or more. Due to their cooperation, many business project were based on City E and City C, allowing the two cities to thrive.
By now, there were already so many tall buildings, new innovation that combined the previous technology with the new power, many types of new food that could enhance their abilities, and so on.
And with marriage ties between the two families, it didn’t seem that their cooperation will stop.
City E become safe because of the few highest ranked awakened were all staying here and the economy was thriving because of the many advantages that attracted people to come here. In fact, General Ryan had been troubled with city’s expansion because the number of people who stayed in City E kept on increasing.
"The new type of train is ready. They’re currently debating on the name inside." General Ryou pointed inside.
General Ryan’s lips twitched when he heard that. "I hope it’s not Kyle again who pick the name."
Considering Kyle’s sense of naming… he already felt like smacking his son’s head. Even when naming Kyle’s two daughters, if not for Kate’s strong opposition, their name would definitely be very simple and different.
But his sense of naming has always been very simple and easy to remember. Dylan often felt lazy to name their project and just leave it to Kyle, making the names extremely simple and crude.
If General Ryan was his son’s art teacher, he would have long kicked his son out of the class.
"Just come in, Brother." General Ryou laughed and walked forward first.
General Ryan sighed and slowly made his way into the back room. This building was connected to the train station that had connected several cities, including City E and City C. Rather than using cars, train was faster and somewhat saver.
After all, there were several posts along the way where guards and awakened stayed and would kill any giant mutated animals that dared to attack the train’s route.
As they got closer, the voice of argument could be heard.
"But that name is not cool! I heard that this is powered with the crystal, why not said that it’s a Powerful Crystal Train."
"…I don’t think people will want to say the name if it’s like that," Lotte’s voice sounded helpless.
"Just name it as train." Marc looked at these people speechlessly.
Bletak!
"You’re a scholar but you’re giving such a name?" Lucy roared.
"But my expertise is in science and not language!" Marc tried to defend himself before there was a crash sound.
General Ryan looked at the door, suddenly feeling unwilling to open it. These brats were already in their thirties or forties and had children but they still acted like children in front of others.
Knock! Knock!
The argument’s voice stopped and everyone turned to look at General Ryan who entered the room. He looked at the few people in front of him and sighed. "You haven’t decided on the name?"
"They didn’t agree with the cool name I proposed!" Jake complained first.
"That’s not cool! That’s embarrassing!" Lotte rolled her eyes. If the train was truly named that way, she herself didn’t want to say the name out loud.
"What’s wrong with Overpowered Crystal Train or Extremely Awesome and Fast Train…."
"Please stop with that kind of name." Kate was already holding back her stomach. She felt that Jake was being influenced by his sons who liked to play around and said those things on the courtyard when they played.
Kyle patted Kate’s shoulder, soothing her so that she would not choke because of laughing too much. He turned to look at Dylan. "Just use your group name. It’s simple."
General Ryan looked at his son speechlessly. "This train is not only Ice Blue Group’s project, Kyle."
"Then add City E name."
General Ryan: "…"
Behind him, General Ryou was already holding back his laugh when he saw his brother being speechless again.
"Ice Blue E Train," Dylan finally said. Anyway, he was already tired with so many strange and tacky names that Jake kept on uttering. Even the others’ suggestion was strange. It’s better to keep it simple.
General Ryan took a deep breath before nodding. "Fine if you want it that way. I’ll submit it and this train will officially start operating in several cities."
"Mhm." Dylan nodded.
With City E getting more and more populated, there were also many people who wanted to come here even if it was just a visit. Train will be their main transportation as the airport was mostly for the longer distance.
After all, the safety in the air was still compromised unless there were powerful awakened who were staying there.
"Now that it’s settled, it’s time to eat." Jake stretched his hand. He didn’t really care that his names were not picked because he just simply gave suggestion of anything that crossed his mind.
"My treat." Dylan nodded.
Kyle arched his eyebrows. "Then it’s my treat tomorrow."
The train was the result of their research. Though, the building of the train itself required the contribution of many other people because they couldn’t make it themselves.
"Good."
General Ryan watched as the few people walked out while laughing and talking. He shook his head. After several years, he no longer felt strange when he heard these few people made something new. The awakened ability was new and as the few people who were at the top with high intelligence, they also started to create many things that could be used as the application.
He looked at the train and smiled faintly.
With this method of transportation, he believed that City E will become more prosperous.
"The business center is dominated by Ice Blue Group," General Ryou reminded. "They will definitely get richer with this one."
"They’re capable, so leave this cake for them. As long as they gave some slices to others, they are allowed to keep the place." General Ryan didn’t care.
General Ryou laughed. "Got it. Also, when did you plan to retire? The other old foggies are already aiming for your position."
"In your dream."
"Hahahahaha!"
