"Oh, I heard that he can already use his ability again. His strength is around the same as newly advanced rank 7. A bit weaker than us because we have better control, but it’s not that bad." Lotte grinned.

She visited Marc not long ago to see his recovery progress. It had to be said that he had indeed recovered.

At the very least, he would be fine even if they had to go in another mission.

Dylan looked at these two and added, "Last mission."

"Huh?" Jake thought for a moment and then grinned. "You’re right. This could be our last mission. Once the source is solved, it meant that there wouldn’t be any other red rain in the future while the advancement for awakened would be faster."

"You can’t say that for sure. The source might have long contaminated the water and with it evaporating, there might still be a chance for the fourth red rain." Lotte pointed at the sky.

"But there hadn’t been any red rain for the past year!"

"Luck?"

"Is that really luck?"

While Jake was confused, Dylan said nothing and powered the machine off. Once they dealt with the source, it meant that they would be able to reduce the number of high rank giant mutated animals.

But it would not completely erase them.

As long as these giant mutated animals still existed and become stronger, it would be impossible to completely eliminate them so quickly.

Perhaps in another few years or a few more decades.

They had to take step by step.

<Outside Research institute>

Kyle was waiting for Kate and finally saw her coming out. Lucy was heading to another direction while she looked for him. The moment she saw him, her eyes lit up and she waved her hand happily.

Looking at the cheerful Kate, Kyle’s eyes were gentle.

In the face of the person he loved, he couldn’t show his tough side and didn’t want to scare her away either. All his tenderness would be given to her and her alone.

Even his father was not qualified to see even the bits and pieces.

"You’re done asking?"

"Yep." Kate nodded. "She’s just done with another report from her brother and will go with us."

Kyle arched his eyebrows.

Because of his connection in the Research Institute, he was naturally aware of Lucas’ behavior. To be honest, he didn’t mind people having some kind of mentality that they liked beauty including those furry beauties.

But when he found out that Lucas sneaked a camera inside, he told the guards there to search him and don’t allow him to keep it inside.

The reason?

There were confidentiality things within the Research Institute and outsiders were not allowed to bring electronic equipment with camera function.

Only ghost would believe his words.

But Lucas didn’t know much about the rules inside, so he had to obediently handed his camera, which was given to his parents.

Kyle didn’t know the follow up, but he heard that Lucas was given another ’make up’ by his sister to have a ’pig face’ which was the talk in the Research Institute for a while. For this matter, he purposely ignored it and didn’t pay attention at all.

"Don’t get close to him."

"I won’t." Kate had heard of many things about Lucas from Lucy. Her impression of him was both good and bad. There were some good qualities Lucas had but there were also many bad qualities that his sister mentioned about him.

Anyway, Kate didn’t have any plan to get close to another male when her boyfriend is such a big vinegar jar.

"Good." Kyle nodded in satisfaction. "Let’s go to the Warehouse and picked some items for the mission."

"Uncle wouldn’t be angry if we just take some items?" Kate looked at Kyle strangely.

There were also warehouse that was dedicated for military and so on. Kate had no interest to keep so many things within her space more than necessary. She was not a person who was very keen on saving things.

Anyway, lives had been very good and there was no lack of supplies through the continuous use of those earth, water, and wood ability users. Not to mention, the food grown without abilities could also be eaten and had grown up several times.

The harvests result was really good and this method of using the abilities to sped up food was used by several cities.

This way, they had reduced conflicts.

Everyone could live well and that would be for the best.

"He wouldn’t. Anyway, I’m just taking some more food. How about if we ask Aunt to cook some delicious food to eat on the way?" Kyle asked. He knew how much Kate liked some sweet snacks.

And when they were going on a mission, it would be more convenient to stock up readymade food.

The food in the space would be frozen in time anyway.

They didn’t have to worry about it.

"Good idea." Kate’s eyes lit up. "Let’s pay a visit to several restaurants and buy some food for us to eat. I’ll arrange my space for a bit."

They have money to use since the currency had been reintroduced when the cities were established. Kate was given pocket money by her parents and also some gifts from General Ryan, which he said to be additional pocket money because he didn’t want to give any to his son.

Kyle turned blind eye to his father’s remarks, though.

He had gotten used to it.

Aside from those, Kate could easily earn a lot of money through selling the items she had or selling those crystals she obtained from killing giant mutated animals. Though, she had no lack of money and thus too lazy to sell these.

Kyle himself had money because of his position in the city and also the works he did. Thus, he didn’t care for the blatant favoritism his father showed and simply ignored it.

He could earn his own money.
