Upon arriving at their destination, Gu Jin was the first to get off the carriage followed by Noah who then helped Xin Yan get off. He gave her his hand like a proper gentleman, which she took with a small warm smile.

Elysia on the other hand just appeared beside them as if she teleported there directly from the house.

Gu Jin was puzzled seeing their interaction but did not pay much attention to it.

"Please follow me." He said, guiding the two of them inside. The guards bowed seeing their commander leading someone inside.

Whoever would make someone like Gu Jin act respectfully towards them would naturally not be a simple guest.

After entering through the gate, Gu Jin did not take them towards the main hall but made his way towards the side which led to a beautiful courtyard.

There was a beautiful and well maintained pond in this area. Stone path that led a person through this area highlighted the flowers and herbs planted at their edges.

The beautiful peach tree beside the small pond full of fishes gave off fresh air, bringing a sense of tranquility to the observer.

Noah believed that this place was slightly better than the place they were currently staying at. Upon walking his eyes landed on a handsome looking man feeding the fishes in the pond. He was standing there with a straight posture giving off a mysterious feeling.

There was an air of superiority around the person. Noah could more or less guess the identity of the person in front of him. To confirm it, Gu Jin went forward and announced their identities.

"City Lord, I have brought the guests as you advised"

Gu Jin went ahead and bowed in respect. Ma Mingli nodded and calmly turned to look at Noah before looking at Xin Yan. A trace of fascination flashed by his eyes before disappearing.
