"Me?" Hearing this Noah looked puzzled and used his senses to probe the identity of the person outside. He raised his eyebrows seeing that it was none other than Gu Jin!

Even though they had not met face to face yet, Noah was already aware of the looks and names of the important people in this city.

He had been collecting information through Elysia after hearing about what happened with the Xu Family.

"Please guide the man towards the hall, I will be waiting for him there." Noah smiled warmly at Aunty Wang, making her blush a little but she was not a little girl and recovered easily. She bowed and left the scene.

Although she did not see it, two women were looking at her like they wanted to kill her nine generations upon seeing her reaction.

He could not find any malice in the commander of the guard's eyes.

So either the city lord hid the news about his talent from him and planned to take action by himself thinking that he has some kind of heavenly treasure.

There was also another possibility that there was something that the city lord needed from him and he was more inclined to this possibility.

He thought that the city lord was not dumb enough to not realize his relationship with Yu Ming and take him lightly.

Even though he did not have any particular relationship with the woman in question, to the outside world it looked like there was some kind of deal in between them. She was living in the same house with them, that should have been enough to alarm the city lord.

Be it purely a business or romantic relationship, it did not matter.

"That...I am not at liberty to say. Why don't the young master follow me to find out instead. It's naturally nothing that will trouble the young master." Gu Jin displayed a helpless expression on his face as he explained.

This matter was not something he had the authority to discuss without the permission of the city lord. He did not want the boy to think that they were planning something against him too.

"I will follow you if you decide to visit." Xin Yan sitting beside him just left the decision to him. Even if he decided to go and meet the city lord she would definitely follow him.

At least she would be there to protect Noah if something goes sideways. Noah could easily tell what she was thinking. Even though he did not need her protection, he appreciated her help.

"When does he want me to visit?"

Hearing those words Gu Jin was elated and could not help but smile widely.

"We can leave right now. The city lord is free at the moment and he told me if you could meet him now that would be better." Noah nodded and got up before replying.

"Then let's leave right away."

Gu Jin also got up and the three of them made their way to the city lord mansion along with someone trailing behind them hiding from the commander.

They entered the carriage in which Gu Jin arrived which was prepared for them and took off in the direction of the mansion.
