Chapter 48: Jino's Ability
Chapter 48: Jino's Ability
"Good, good! Your reaction is not that bad." Beels remarked to both Anna and Nene as he laughed. After he finished stretching his arms, he then stretched his legs and then back and lastly his neck. A bone-cracking could always be heard in every stretch he made.
After which, he was just about to turn his gaze towards the duo but to his horror, a ball of fire with the size of his head, obstructed his view. It appeared so suddenly right in front of his face as he failed to react at all. That being said, the ball of fire exploded on his head!
Sabog!
Beels was pushed backward as he rolled violently on the ground. He didn't know how and why and who the heck made that attack but he never expected that something like that would happen. If he just knew it from the start, he would not have been so careless.
Cough! Cough!
"Who is that fool who made a surprise attack!?" Standing up in difficulty, Beels demanded as his veins popped out from his neck and to his face that almost turned into charcoal.
"Not me." Jino denied leisurely. His lips revealed a slight smile and his gaze full of contempt landed on the Semi-Demon in front of him as if he was looking into a fool.
Beels found it hard to control his temper as he gritted his teeth and vanished right away.
But just as he appeared behind Jino with his dagger ready to slash the other party at any moment, another ball of fire greeted him with a warm welcome. It even embraced his body and exploded on the spot! That being said, Beels was sent flying and rolled to the ground once again.
Cough!
Coughing a mouthful of blood, Beels thought that the world had gone mad! He couldn't help but think, "Just what the hell is happening here? Why is that ball of fire popping out from nowhe..."
Boom! Sabog!
Beels was still trying to figure out what was going on but halfway in his thought, another ball of fire appeared so suddenly right in front of his chest. It immediately exploded, leaving him incapable of reaction!
Beels then was sent flying again as he grabbed the ground to halt his flight!
Just how the heck, just how?! Is that teleportation? But there is no distortion of space so it can't be it...
Beels really was about to go insane this time. He didn't know how should he avoid that kind of attack that was popping out right in front of him. His speed was completely useless and was helpless to dodge at all.
"It's an enlargement."
Just as Beels was completely bewildered, a voice of a woman sounded in his ears. He turned around and saw Semi-Demon C walking in his direction.
"Karen?" At first glance, Beels found his eyes opened in shock before he narrowed it and asked, "What do you mean? And what happened to you all?"
Just by looking to the other party, he noticed that her usually calm and tranquil demeanor was exchanged by a cold and resentful one. And not only that, her form had even changed!
Her black pupils became deeper and her black hairs became much longer as it reached down to her long and thin tail that was wagging back and forth. Her black armor from before was nowhere to be found as bones replaced it.
Two big skeletal hands with long fingers covered her breast as if it was holding her chest from behind. Her slim waist was revealed openly as a skirt made of black silk coupled with three little skulls on the side as an ornament, covered her lower body.
"There are countless fire particles scattered in our surroundings that aren't visible to our naked eye and can't be detected so easily. And that human only needs a thought to enlarge those particles and make it explode." Karen explained with her eyes flashing with a cold glint as she continued, "That being said, this entire place has just become his domain of where he rules."
"What did you say?!" Beels could hardly believe it. He thought that it was teleportation, never did he thought that it was actually enlargement. He tried to look around and focused his attention on his surroundings and there he noticed the countless tiny particles of a ball of fire.
No wonder it's somewhat hot here, I thought it's because of the sun...
Nodding in realization, Beels then shifted his gaze to the human fire boy far away from him and was now smiling at him as he asked Karen, "Then what should we do?"
Karen also turned her gaze to Jino as he replied to Beels, "First of all, you must get the body of those two."
Of course, Karen was talking about Lak and Lelith who were now lying lifelessly on the ground, unsure if they were still alive.
Nodding slowly, Beels didn't reply any words for he already knew what would the other party was going to do.
He then made a step forward and kneeled slightly. His veins then popped out on his arms and neck. After which, he turned his blazing gaze to Lak and vanished right away!
Swoosh!
In no time, he appeared beside Lak and grabbed him immediately but a ball of fire appeared beside them as well and exploded right away. Beels and Lak were thrown away but Beels didn't let go of Lak and grabbed him very tightly with gritting teeth.
Upon landing on the ground, the very moment his feet touched the ground, he immediately vanished only to appear right beside Karen.
Gasp gasp gasp!
Frenziedly gasping for air, Beels found it hard to breathe. He just used so much World Energy that he could almost die in suffocation.
Thud!
He had then thrown down Lak on the ground who was hanging on his shoulder as he fell on the ground and lied on it for there was almost no strength for him to stand up anymore.
Seeing the body of Lak, Karen snapped her finger and a coffin appeared right beside Lak. She then raised her hand and Lak stood up on his own, no, Lak floated in the midair slightly above the ground and was put inside of the coffin. As he entered, the coffin closed in itself right away.
She then turned her gaze to Beels as she beckoned impatiently, "You still need to go and get Lelith, stop resting!"
Hearing those words, Beels spurted a mouthful of blood as he almost failed to catch some breath.
"Will you please let me rest a little more ti..."
Kaboom!
Kwaaak!!
Beels spurted another mouthful of blood!
He was still complaining and was going to rest for some more time but halfway through his words, another ball of fire appeared right above him. This time, the ball of fire was much bigger than before and its explosion caused some craters on the ground.
Beels then finally failed to gasp some air and almost died on the spot! His eyes were all white and as if shining in the midst of his charcoal-like body. His mouth was widely opened and smoke was rising from it.
Seeing the unconscious body of Beels, Karen shook her head slightly as she muttered, "I told you to stop resting..."
After which, she snapped her finger and another coffin appeared before her. She then raised her hand and Beels floated in the midair and was put inside the standing coffin.
She then turned her gaze to the Jino with her eyes flashing with a cold glint as she asked, "Are you from the Santermo Clan?"
