Urban Super Almighty Student

Chapter 83

Chapter 83 - Powerful Talent!

Ye Hao did not decline the special privilege offered by Shao Hua.

He hadn't forgotten the incident at the police station last time.

With this identity proof, no one would dare to apprehend him.

As Ye Hao walked away, Shao Hua watched his retreating figure, her hands clenched tightly. “You won't escape my grasp,” she muttered.

The same young man drove Ye Hao home.

Yet, this time, the young man regarded Ye Hao with awe.

An Innate master commands great respect within the Martial Arts Bureau.

“My name is Shan Lei,” the young man said as Ye Hao prepared to exit the vehicle.

Ye Hao nodded in acknowledgment and departed.

As Ye Hao was about to unlock his door, he heard hurried footsteps inside. Then Tang Pianpian swung the door open.

Seeing Ye Hao unharmed brought her visible relief.

Ye Hao approached the dining table and inquired, “Why haven't you eaten?”

“I was waiting to eat with you,” Tang Pianpian replied, lifting a dish. “I'll warm up the food.”

“There's no need; it's perfectly fine as is,” Ye Hao said, starting to eat his rice.

Tang Pianpian let the matter drop.

“What did they want with you?” she probed.

“They want me to join the Martial Arts Bureau.”

“The Martial Arts Bureau?”

“It's an organization that operates in the shadows.”

“So, did you agree to join them?”

“I didn't.”

“Will the Martial Arts Bureau become your enemy?”

“They won't,” Ye Hao assured her with a comforting glance. “I'm just a student; such matters are irrelevant to me.”

“We'll stay out of it if we can,” Tang Pianpian agreed, nodding.

“I'm on the verge of a breakthrough in the next couple of days, so please don't interrupt me unless it's urgent,” Ye Hao told her.

“Understood,” Tang Pianpian responded.

That night, Ye Hao practiced his cultivation in Tang Pianpian's room.

As he absorbed the spiritual energy from the spirit stone, his cultivation neared a pivotal threshold.

Ye Hao channeled all his vital spirit, surging towards a breakthrough.

Suddenly, his soul quivered intensely, and he coughed up a mouthful of blood.

The agony was beyond words. Despite Ye Hao's unwavering resolve, his body couldn't help but shudder uncontrollably.

Upon realizing that the bridge was incomplete, Ye Hao's expression turned to one of deep frustration. The black dragon's memories suggested that to break through, he would need to persistently charge at it.

With determination, Ye Hao clenched his teeth and once more summoned the full force of his vital spirit.

Yet, the breakthrough eluded him.

On his third attempt, Ye Hao finally succeeded.

After over two months of dedicated cultivation, Ye Hao had at last reached the first layer of Body Refining.

Now, he could rightfully claim the title of a cultivator.

Ye Hao was confident that with his present level of cultivation, he could effortlessly defeat Bai Ruo. Nevertheless, he continued to draw spiritual energy from the spirit stone to solidify his cultivation.

If he were to stop, there was a slight chance his cultivation could diminish.

The likelihood was slim, but Ye Hao was not willing to gamble.

Once he had consolidated his gains for a full day and night, Ye Hao pondered which Divine Power to pursue next.

Drawing from the black dragon's recollections, he knew he had the choice between two Divine Powers: the Heavenly Thunder Spell and Rain Summoning.

After some consideration, Ye Hao opted for the Heavenly Thunder Spell.

Given the current infestation of malevolent spirits, the Heavenly Thunder Spell, known as the nemesis of all impurities, was the obvious choice.

Ye Hao closed his eyes and mentally rehearsed the first layer of the Heavenly Thunder Spell. Once he felt he had a firm grasp on it, he began to attune himself to the thunder element in his surroundings.

The ability to sense the thunder element was a matter of aptitude. Those with innate talent could perceive it within a few hours, whereas those less gifted might struggle for months without success. But it wasn't long before Ye Hao sensed something; sprites, pulsating with untamed and domineering energy, appeared before his inner eye.

”Could this be the thunder element?” A jolt of excitement ran through Ye Hao.

As he connected with these thunder elements, he projected his benevolence toward them. In no time, they began to flow into his body.

The moment a trace of electricity sparked from Ye Hao's fingertip, he was left utterly speechless with awe.

“My aptitude can't be this good, can it?” Ye Hao said, his eyes wide with astonishment.

After some reflection, Ye Hao realized his natural talent wasn't nearly as impressive.

It must be thanks to the black dragon.

The essence of the black dragon's cultivation and its memories had been transformed into the Dragon Orb, which Ye Hao was now gradually absorbing.

Members of the Dragon Clan possess Divine Powers to command Heavenly Thunder and rain, explaining Ye Hao's quick grasp of the thunder element.

With this realization, Ye Hao's excitement grew.

If he could understand the thunder element so swiftly, there was a good chance he could also grasp the water element.

With this thought, Ye Hao reviewed the Rain Summoning technique in his mind and began to sense the water element in the natural world. As expected, it didn't take him long to comprehend it.

Once a water droplet formed at Ye Hao's fingertip, he had essentially mastered this Divine Power. His next step was to keep absorbing the thunder and water elements from his surroundings to enhance his Divine Power.

Nevertheless, Ye Hao decided to hold off on practicing the Rain Summoning for now.

Since the Rain Summoning's initial power wasn't as formidable as the Heavenly Thunder Spell, Ye Hao chose to focus on mastering the latter.

Days went by.

Half a month later, when Ye Hao managed to create an arc of electricity in his hand, his cultivation had significantly improved.

”It's time to settle things with Bai Ruo,” Ye Hao thought, a glint of resolve in his eyes.

Storm Tower.

This skyscraper was a venture of the Lan family in Glento City.

Lan Zhongtian, observing Bai Ruo's still-pale complexion, was consumed by a sense of relief.

He hadn't anticipated that Bai Ruo, despite being at the Innate level, would nearly fall to Ye Hao.

But since Ye Hao had been poisoned by Bai Ruo, Lan Zhongtian suspected that Ye Hao might have succumbed to the toxin by now.

“Sir, this is a century-old ginseng I've acquired at great expense,” Lan Zhongtian said as he presented a brocade box.

Bai Ruo gave the brocade box a cursory look and responded, “Thank you.”

Bai Ruo harbored a deep resentment toward Lan Zhongtian. It was Lan Zhongtian's fault that he had nearly lost his life. To add insult to injury, he hadn't even managed to acquire Ye Hao's Hidden Book of the Way of Nature.

Despite his grievances, Bai Ruo found himself reliant on Lan Zhongtian's network and wealth for his medical treatment. So, regardless of his current dissatisfaction, he was in no position to voice his complaints.

Given his condition, it seemed Bai Ruo would require about three months to make a full recovery. He would also need to continuously consume the rare and valuable hundred-year-old ginseng to facilitate his healing within that timeframe.

A single drop of juice from the hundred-year-old ginseng was potent enough to revive someone on the brink of death, underscoring its extraordinary value.

As Bai Ruo was preparing to ingest the hundred-year-old ginseng, a serene voice echoed through the room, “Do you really think you still need to consume this hundred-year-old ginseng?”
