Chapter 92: Dungeon Diving and New Subclass

 Nôv(el)B\\jnn

[3rd POV]

It was the next morning after the girls had joined the Loki Familia. The group was currently making their ways to the dungeon, ready to do some exploring.

It was just the four of them, as they found the idea of other adventurers coming along, to be unneeded. The girls had the power to finish at least the first 10 floors, if not deeper.

"You girls ready for this? The first four floors are Goblins and Kobolds" Talia asked, looking at her mates. She trusted in their power to defeat them, but she wanted to make sure they themselves were ready to fight unknown and new creatures.

"We're ready, Talia. The first ten floors should be easy peasy. We were actually planning on going past the tenth floor, if possible" Isabelle replied with a smile and nod, Hope and Clary nodding in agreement.

Seeing them all agreeing, Talia smiled "Good then. Let's get in there, alright? I'll be leaving on my own for some exploration, but I'll be keeping an eye on you either way"

"Mmkay!" Clary replied with a smile, as the group began to walk into the dungeon.

They didn't need any real supplies, besides the blade that Loki had given Hope, while Isabelle and Clary still had their trusty seraph blades that worked on the monsters just fine.

Walking into the dungeon, the group immediately noticed the difference from the outside. For one, it was more tunnel-esque, and was silent as can be. Not to mention, there wasn't much other around.

The group walked deeper into the first floor, where no one else was around, before stopping. "Alright girls, I'm gonna be setting off. I should be back in several hours, if everything goes well. I'll have eyes on you though, so if anything too dangerous goes down, I'll be here" Talia said, giving each of them a peck on the lips.

"Okay! How deep do you plan on exploring?" Isabelle asked, knowing that Talia planned to explore quite a bit of the dungeon.

"If possible I want to get to around floor 30 or 40. I can just brute force most of the floors anyways" Talia replied with a shrug, knowing that it would take the far far deeper floors, for her to be even remotely challenged.

The girls nodded, having expected Talia to go deep into the dungeon. They all knew she was powerful, just not how much. Afterall, Talia had never truly went all out.

"Well, I'm off, loves" Talia said with a smile, pecking them once more, before flashing off as they gave her a wave.

Walking through the 29th floor, Talia let out a low groan.

She had been exploring the dungeon for roughly 2 hours now, and she was...bored, very, very bored.

This was entirely because the dungeon was...laughably easy to her, as in, not a single monster could even touch her, much less harm her.

'I definitely overestimated the strength of the monsters in here' Talia thought with a sigh, as she effortlessly swiped the head off of a large dinosaur like creature, known as a "Bloodsaurus" a monster that appeared on the 29th floor, which was also a forest floor.

'Hopefully the deeper floors are a bit more of a challenge' Talia thought as she walked through the forest, while making sure to collect the parts that the monsters dropped, their magic stones, and any other items of note she found while exploring.

She also had her familiars spread around the parts of the floor she has explored so far, collecting all sorts of objects for her, while also hunting monsters, and bringing her the spoils. Most of it was pretty useless to her, but some of the items could be sold for quite a bit, and some of it might be useful for the future. Especially the different plants, afterall, she did plan on learning some potion making in the future.

She wasn't even getting much XP from the damn things. Something she realized the monsters was in fact awarding her. Even if it was an abysmal amount.

The girls on the otherhand, were progressing smoothly, and were already on the 5th floor. They hadn't received any wounds just yet, and were still working out teamwork and strategy. But from what she could tell, it was going well.

'Honestly at this point, it'd be faster to just bomb the hell out of the floors and then move on, while leaving the familiars to gather the materials of note' Talia thought with a hum, as she genuinely began to contemplate the idea.

'Let's not do that until later floors. I'd rather not accidentally kill anyone' Talia decided,

'Time for more exploring' Talia thought with a groan, as she continued her exploration of the dungeon.

[A few hours later]

Some time had passed since Talia had finished exploring the 29th floor, and she was now on the 40th floor.

The floors continued to be horribly underwhelming, and incredibly easy to clear out. Through her familiars, she had rapidly conquered them and continued to gather materials of note. And at this point, she was pretty sure she had gathered tens, if not hundreds of millions in Valis. Most of the materials were useless, so they'd be promptly sold or given to Loki.

The 40th floor monsters were weird basilisk like creatures, and were actually a bit challenging for some of her familiars, but that was about it. They spit acid and were fairly resistant, but there wasn't much else that was special about them.

She had attempted to turn the creatures into familiars, but she found that she couldn't, as they'd simply turn into a magic stone after death, making it impossible to turn them. If she could, she would have turned them, as it would basically be a free army of tens of thousands of creatures of varying species.

As she walked through the 40th floor, she began to descend into the 41st. Only to get cut off as she got her next burst of levels.

Chef

'Hmm, none of these are particularly powerful or anything, so I guess I'll go with Chef. I've been meaning to get a more "production" based class, and this would be a good start. That, and I think the girls will like having me cook for them' Talia decided, choosing Chef. [Chef - A specialized class unlike most others. Every 25 levels gives the user the knowledge and experiences of chefs from around the Omniverse. All food cooked by the user, now has special effects, bonuses, and boons. From increasing regenerative rates, to doubling magic power for an hour, to even beyond that. The limits of this class are truly limitless, as long as the user continues to train. Also increases the users sense of taste and smell per level. Makes the user immune to all food born sicknesses. These boons/effects also apply to others]

'Huh...not bad. This could be a lot better than I was initially expecting' Talia thought in realization, before blinking as she noticed the notification blink.

That's the end of the chapter!

Sorry for the lack of updates to this fic. I have been...struggling to be honest. I hope to get back

to normal, but I'm beginning to get some serious writers block for this fic...sadly. I'll try my

best to continue though!

Next chapter should be the same length, or longer.

And yep, she is officially a chef! The class will be pretty helpful in the long run, but will be

maxed out quite quickly. I've already got an idea on what her next subclass will be, and her

main class has already been decided as well. Anyways, have a good day, see you tomorrow!
