Chapter 404: 404: What a Crazy Woman
Chapter 404: Chapter 404: What a Crazy Woman
Luo Ziling quickly understood why Lin Lan had taken him to the training ground.
Because there was already someone standing there.
A woman with her face covered, showing only her eyes and nose.
Although the person had a tall frame, and it was difficult to distinguish gender at a glance, Luo Ziling could immediately tell it was a woman, and he could also instantly judge that she was the captain of Dragon Rise, the woman who had lost to him during their last sparring session.
“What now?” Luo Ziling looked at Lin Lan with a gloomy expression. “You don’t want to fight me again, do you? My injuries aren’t fully healed yet!”
“A request,” Lin Lan didn’t answer, but the woman spoke up, “frequently train with me.”
“Why?” Luo Ziling couldn’t help but feel a bit annoyed. “Why should I have to train with you?”
She must be out of her mind—this was Luo Ziling’s subconscious judgment.
To fight him out of the blue, to ask him to train with her—as if he was some sort of a person to her, why should he agree?
“I need to improve my speed, and can only do so training with someone faster than me,” the woman approached Luo Ziling, stopping about a meter away from him, “training with me will benefit you as well. Lin Lan has already been teaching you lethal moves, training with me could further improve your skills.”
“I’m not out to kill anyone, so why should I improve? I only practice martial arts to stay fit and healthy,” Luo Ziling replied disdainfully and took a step back.
However, this only earned him collective scorn from both the woman and Lin Lan.
To have acquired such terrifying skills just for fitness and health?
Only a fool would believe that!
But it wasn’t long before Luo Ziling could no longer retreat, because the woman launched an attack without warning, aiming a fierce spinning kick at him.
Luo Ziling had in fact seen her leg move, so he stepped back. When he saw her accelerate, he instantly responded, executing a glide step to dodge her fierce strike.
The woman unleashed another vicious spinning kick. Luo Ziling jumped up to avoid it and began to counterattack.
As the woman’s leg move finished, he threw a swing punch aimed at her thigh.
After her leg swept past, she quickly prepared to change her move, but Luo Ziling was faster, punching towards the thigh of her now airborne leg.
Of course, Luo Ziling knew he wouldn’t be able to hit her; it was merely an attempt to force the woman to change her technique and prevent her from continuing the attack.
Luo Ziling’s rapid attack had the desired effect; the woman couldn’t unleash her third kick and had to adjust, dodging Luo Ziling’s ferocious punch. Luo Ziling quickly withdrew his fist and delivered a reverse side kick towards the woman’s head.
The woman was taken aback, not expecting Luo Ziling’s change of moves to be so quick. If she didn’t retreat, she was definitely going to be hit by his kick.
From the speed of his moves, she could tell that the man’s injuries were almost fully recovered.
She had just used the excuse of not being fully healed to refuse, which made the woman somewhat angry.
Therefore, as she dodged, she immediately counterattacked.
Her long leg, clad in leather pants, swept towards Luo Ziling’s lower body.
Luo Ziling didn’t expect the woman’s change of moves to be so quick either, and he also changed his move, leaping into the air, his right leg executing a diagonal chop towards the woman’s heel. Even if the woman changed her move, the heel had less room to maneuver than the tip of the foot, making it easier to hit.
To avoid being struck, she could only defend or dodge completely.
As long as the opponent switched from offense to defense, or dodged out of the way, Luo Ziling could continue his assault.
But to Luo Ziling’s surprise, the opponent didn’t dodge; instead, she braced her knees, intent on taking him head-on.
Luo Ziling knew that if the leg he was chopping down met hard with the woman’s knees, they would both get hurt. He didn’t want to get hurt, and he didn’t want to injure the woman either, so he had no choice but to change his move—a mid-air twist, his body spinning around, his left foot directly aiming for the woman’s face.
The woman didn’t expect Luo Ziling to change his moves so quickly under these circumstances; unable to react in time, she could only use both hands to block.
With a dull thumping sound, Luo Ziling’s left leg struck her hands and, using the force of the collision, he leapt back and landed a few meters away from the woman. After taking two steps back, she also steadied her stance.
In fact, the many exchanges between the two had taken less than a minute, with both moving very quickly. The woman made the first move, but didn’t gain any advantage. Luo Ziling, holding back, hadn’t gained much of an upper hand either, but Lin Lan on the side could clearly see that he had the upper hand.
“Let’s go again,” the woman, seemingly spurred by a competitive spirit, took the initiative to attack Luo Ziling once more.
She strode forward rapidly, and with a sudden diagonal chop, she aimed a kick at Luo Ziling.
Luo Ziling dodged slightly, then threw a punch towards the space between her legs.
The move was incredibly vicious and utterly shameless.
At least that’s how Lin Lan and the woman saw it. What kind of man fights so dishonorably, aiming at the space between a woman’s legs?
Of course, Luo Ziling didn’t think he was being despicably shameless; he simply noticed that when the woman chopped down, the space between her legs was the most vulnerable part, unguarded, and he instinctively struck there.
The woman was a bit infuriated and quickly changed her move, striking at Luo Ziling with even greater speed.
But Luo Ziling had already gained the upper hand in the midst of the woman’s aborted kick, beating her to the new move.
With a “bang,” his fist forcefully struck the woman’s extended leg.
In the collision of fist and leg, Luo Ziling felt pain at his knuckles, but he knew the woman must have suffered more damage than he did.
As expected, after a low grunt, the woman stepped back, her struck leg barely touching the ground, visibly in pain.
Luo Ziling certainly wouldn’t miss the opportunity to press his advantage, launching a downward chop from mid-air, targeting the woman’s head.
If Luo Ziling’s strike hit, it might not kill her but would certainly cause severe injury, so the woman had no choice but to dodge.
But Luo Ziling was faster than she was, his chopping leg quickly hitting the ground; using that leg as a pivot, he swept a roundhouse kick towards the woman’s face.
Luo Ziling was too fast; the woman couldn’t dodge and could only use her hands to block.
After his kick hit the opponent’s hands, Luo Ziling used the force of the contact to change his move and delivered another heavy blow, a kick targeted at her shoulder. With a “bang,” the woman couldn’t completely avoid Luo Ziling’s kick, and her arm was struck.
Although Luo Ziling pulled back his strength in time, the woman still fell to the ground.
Seeing the woman knocked to the ground, Luo Ziling promptly stopped and extended his hand to the fallen woman, “My apologies!”
The woman was unexpectedly not angry nor did she sneak attack; instead, she let Luo Ziling pull her up.
“Spar with me again next time!” She even smiled at Luo Ziling.
Luo Ziling, sensing the meaning in her smile through the change in her eyes, didn’t make a commitment, “Not interested!”
The woman’s expression changed instantly, her eyes growing cold in a flash.
