Chapter 50 – “… Perfect, my son is thirteen too.” (2)

“Mom, it can’t be that you didn’t tell him that I’m divorced, right?”

Lin Ping slightly froze.

Lin Yiyi felt somewhat incredulous. “You didn’t tell him I have two children either, right?”

Lin Ping: “…”

Lin Ping was usually a very honest and just person…

Thus, Lin Yiyi was immediately able to see that she had guessed correctly!

Lin Yiyi couldn’t explain why, but she finally felt a sense of relief.

She wasn’t worried about the blind date anymore. Instead, she felt that Mr. Lu would be the one that needed to calm down once they met.

She wondered what his reaction would be when he found out that not only was she divorced, she also had a son and daughter. And, her son was old enough to start middle school soon.

Early next morning, Lin Yiyi woke up and made breakfast for five people.

Meng Yuran saw her coming out of the kitchen. His gaze lingered on the new dress that she had found and was wearing. Somewhat unhappy, a frown appeared on his face.

“Mom, do you still have time to drop us off at school?

He nibbled on a piece of toast. He didn’t have much of an appetite today. Even after chewing on the toast for a long time, he still didn’t swallow the food.

Lin Yiyi sat down to eat breakfast with him.

She nodded, then doubtfully asked, “Why? Don’t I bring the two of you to your schools every day? Do you want me to stop?”

Meng Shanshan hastily interjected, “No way. I like mom bringing me to school the most!”

“Our Shanshan is the sweetest and most obedient ~”

Patting her daughter’s head, Lin Yiyi was consoled and felt quite comfortable from Shanshan’s answer.

Meng Yuran kept his head lowered and ate breakfast in silence.

After the three of them had finished breakfast, Lin Yiyi quickly cleaned up breakfast while the two children waited in the living room.

Meng Yuran went straight to the sofa to sit down and picked up the photo on the coffee table.

This was a college graduation photo with over forty people.

In the photo, the men and women were wearing graduation robes and hats and standing in three rows.

The details were already fuzzy with so many people taking a photo together. It would be pretty difficult to find that man based on a childhood photo out of the sea of people.

Meng Yuran coldly scoffed.

It was only when he heard approaching footsteps coming from the dining room that he shoved the photo into his pocket without thinking.

“Alright, let’s go.”

Lin Yiyi picked up the little girl’s small backpack and held her hand.

By the time Lin Yiyi finished dropping her two children off at their schools and returned home, Lin Ping had already finished breakfast.

She looked at Lin Yiyi from top to bottom. Dissatisfied by what she saw, she urged, “You’re going on your blind date this afternoon. Why aren’t you dressed up?”

Lin Yiyi’s style was fresh and clean. Most people would feel comfortable looking at her style, but in Lin Ping’s eyes, it was too plain!

“This won’t do. You have to go to a beautician for your face and also get your hair done at a salon.”

Lin Pin was quite fashionable. She quickly planned out her daughter’s blind date preparations.

Once Lin Yiyi was standing in front of her all polished up, Lin Ping finally nodded in satisfaction. “Good, you’re presentable now.”

Was she implying that she was unpresentable before? The corners of Lin Yiyi’s lips twitched.

“Hey, where did that photo go?” Lin Ping couldn’t figure it out. “I remember I left it on the coffee table.”

The photo where the faces were so small that you could only vaguely see their eyes and mouths?

There was no difference in seeing and not seeing that photo, okay?

“It’s okay, mom. I’ll be seeing him in person soon anyways. Not having his photo won’t make a difference.” Even if she had that photo, she wouldn’t be able to find him.

Lin Ping dropped the subject.
