Chapter 270 – “What are you smiling at?” (3)

When Ms. Lin Ping saw the news that said “tying the knot soon”, her eyes rolled, and she couldn’t help but imagine what her daughter would look like in a wedding gown.

All of a sudden, she thought that was a very good idea!

Lin Yiyi went silent for a little while and then heard Ms. Lin Ping saying, “Others are already calling this your honeymoon trip. You should make it official when you get back. We are not hooligans and you can’t keep leading Xiao Lu on and waste away his youth.”

Lin Yiyi’s lips twitched and she said, “Shouldn’t you guys be on your way?”

“Oh, we are on the plane already.”

The gentle reminder from the air stewardess came, and Ms. Lin Ping quickly told her, “I can’t talk any more. We are about to take off. If you have so much to talk about, we can catch up tonight.”

She hung up as soon as she finished saying that.

As though Lin Yiyi was the one who refused to hang up!

With her cellphone still in her hand, Lin Yiyi thought about it a little and clicked open the browser.

She turned and gave Lu Xun a look while waiting for the app to open up.

Because of that short call a little bit earlier, Lu Xun opened up his groggy eyes. What he saw was Lin Yiyi on the other side of the bed, leaning up against a pillow, her cellphone in her hand, and she was looking at him.

Lu Xun, “…” He thought he was dreaming!

“Are you awake now?” Lin Yiyi casted him a glance.

Lu Xun nodded, dumbfounded.

“How come you are on my bed?”

On her bed?

Lu Xun scrambled up slowly…

Then he jumped off of the bed like his butt was on fire or that there were some flesh-eating demons in the bed!

Lin Yiyi, “…”

Lu Xun had accidentally fallen asleep because this place was way too comfortable. The temperature was mild, and one would just feel languid in this environment. Even one’s pace would begin to slow uncontrollably.

When he first walked inside of the room, he was checking out the ceiling, and then the decors in the room. He even went over to the floor-to-ceiling window and looked out to the clear, green ocean.

All in all, he looked at everything but the one sound asleep in bed.

Even so, even as he deliberately avoided looking over in that direction, he could still catch sight of her out of the corners of his eyes and her image would be duplicated in his head. Wrapped in the white bedsheets, she was completely unguarded in her sleep.

Her long and slender legs were exposed from the sheets. They were so bright that they could burn his eyes.

Lu Xun stood there for a while and finally couldn’t help himself. He walked closer to her.

It was as if the two of them could feel closer with each other if only he was to shorten their physical distance.

He leaned down. Looking at how calm and peaceful she was, he felt particularly serene at that moment.

And then…

And then he fell asleep just like that? (Author: See? Knew we couldn’t have high hopes in you.)

Lu Xun was speechless for a little while. Seeing how she had her cellphone in her hand, he looked at it out of curiosity.

Just one look and there was no way he could look away!

Lin Yiyi, too, looked down and immediately saw the news that the two of them were about to tie the knot!

Lin Yiyi, “…”

She glanced over at Lu Xun, and he was just staring straight at her phone. Perhaps the shock was too much that he was about to lose his mind. Then she saw a foolish smile appearing on him little by little.

“What are you smiling at?”

Was now the time to smile?!

Why was it that the two of them were the last to find out what the entire world had already “known”?

Lu Xun quickly regained control of his look. His lips shut tightly, and he shook his head as if nothing had happened. “I am not smiling.”

“You so are!”

Did he think she was blind?

“I’m really not!”
