Chapter 501
Chapter 501: Trusting on wrong person!
The sudden jerk made Olivia finally turn around and face Lucas.
He was fuming in somewhat anger. “I..I..came as your mother called me. Don’t get me wrong..”
“You clearly said that you won’t even see my face. So, what is this?” Lucas’s brutally honest question made Olivia shake her head. “I didn’t come here for you..remember this..”
Saying this, she turned her face back to look at the fruits in her hand. With the knife in her hand, she started to chop them into small pieces for him.
But seeing her acting aloof made his heart clutch. However, to avoid all the suspicions, Lucas looked at the other maids and servants present in the kitchen. “You all! Go outside for a few minutes!”
The servants and the maids looked at each other, but they had no order to deny the Young master’s order either. Keeping themselves silenced, they walked out of the kitchen, leaving behind only Olivia as well as Lucas.
Whereas Olivia didn’t show much interest, Lucas was more or less interested to know many things right now. As his eyes fixed on her face, he can’t help but let out a sigh from his mouth. “Are you still angry at me?”
.....
“Did you leave me in any position to get angry with you? I’m not angry, Lucas. I’m hurt.” was the simple reply she gave without sparing him any glance.
Moreover, her eyes twinkled down, which didn’t persuade Lucas. “Olivia...you know that I’m caught in the tight spot. I had no intent to get Seren pregnant..”
“She is pregnant. Isn’t she? Your grandfather accepted her in this household to give birth to your child and Jennifer is your fiance. Who am I, Lucas? So, do not disturb me like this.” With this said, Olivia simply washed the remaining fruits in the sink and then started to cut them as well.
However, witnessing her serious outlook was making Lucas frown. As he walked closer, he once again swung her arm to rotate her in his direction. Looking straight into her eyes, he left no space for her to leave.
At this stage, his eyes were shining brighter than any mist that glowed in the sky
“Olivia, you know what are my intentions with Jennifer. You are aware of who is she and, what am I supposed to do with her once we get married. Once she is removed from our path, I will marry again. You are very well aware of this.”
“But that doesn’t mean you will marry me, will you Lucas?” Olivia asked with her cheered eyes. She was in an unsettled position, but when she tried to move her hand from his grip, it was forbidden to do so.
Instead, his clutch only pressed all together.
Lucas brought his hand near her lips to caress them softly with his tender fingers. There was the narrow glint but he didn’t let it settle there anymore.
His fingers moved from her lips to her chin to finally lift her head to make it look at him
Bringing his face near her lips, he blew a small breath which sent Olivia’s body into rigidity.
However, controlling herself down there, she made it blinked her eyes twice or more. “Lucas...”
“I’m sorry Olivia.”
His reply got something past Olivia’s eyes. She didn’t make it too obvious for him to witness, yet she hid it before it ruined her right now.
Changing her expression a bit, Olivia rested her hand near her shoulders to tilt it to the other side. Afterward, pressing her lips all together into a straight line, she raised her eyes once again to gaze at him, but not with so coldness.
“Are you really sorry?” Olivia questioned, to which she returned a solid nod from his side. “If you are so sorry...then show me..”
“What shall I do for you then?” Lucas answered back.
As Olivia moved her eyes across the top of the kitchen, she saw another thing.
Making a small pout from her lips, Olivia finally asked him, “If you are interested to gain my sorry, then go and cut the fruits. Rest of the fruits.” Hearing this, suddenly Lucas’s frown vanished.
As if he realized that this was the most common thing she asked for, he didn’t object to the request either. Taking the knife out from her hand, he was ready to walk to the other side but before that, Olivia stopped him from behind, “Take another knife. That one is mine and, I have to cut other things as per what your mother told me.”
“Alright.” With this, Lucas finally did what she asked him. He simply cut the fruits in the right shape, and witnessing this, only made a small smirk on Olivia’s face.
But hidden it beneath anything else, Olivia finally managed to let him say, “Alright, outside. I’ll bring other things for you.”
“But are you still angry?” Lucas once again questioned, but this time, Olivia simply smiled at his face, “Give me some time, I will give the answer to your each and every question.”
“...and the wait will be worthwhile it too.” Olivia’s answer brought a satisfied grin to Lucas’s face.
He walked out of the kitchen, while Olivia stared at his back.
Suddenly, her eyes were converted into blackness, and the grin disappeared to be replaced with an aloof smile. ‘You have trusted the wrong person, Lucas..’
.....
When Lucas got out of the kitchen, he walked back to the table. His mother there served him breakfast.
Despite not being on the talking terms with her, Lucas still maintained the best position with her. He wasn’t welcoming yet enough to make Amara realize that he was opening up to her after last night’s nightmare.
But what Lucas’ next sight ruined his appetite for breakfast.
His hand was still hanging in the middle air with the fork almost on the edge of his mouth opening as his sight settled on the one person who descended the stairs. ‘Seren...’
Seeing her belly suddenly raised the urge to vomit. It gave him an annoyance the frustration.
But to begin with, he simply looked back at his mother, “She is seriously staying here?”
“What else do you expect? She is carrying the child of our family.” even talking about Seren, Amara’s tone slightly changed. It contained displeasure.
Whereas hearing this, Lucas shifted his focus back on the Seren who talked with the butler, while asking for something.
While his eyes didn’t tear from her face, he simply let the words blurt out from his mouth.
“I will need to..clear this mess too..very soon..”
