Chapter 84: Unvarnished Truth (1)

Chapter 84: Unvarnished Truth (1)

Thanks to that drunken memory from her previous life, Ye Sui knew that she would talk to people out of her heart whenever she was drunk. Although there were no unpleasant events back then, she was not sure this time.

Especially when all her thoughts focused on Chen Shu. Ye Sui felt that she wanted to embrace him and would never let go of him. Then she would confess her feelings vigorously and say everything she wanted to tell him.

Ye Sui’s face began to get hot, and she could feel the heat reaching her face. She immediately stood up and said, “Let’s hurry home.”

On the other hand, Chen Shu’s attitude was different from Ye Sui’s flustered appearance. After getting drunk, he looked quieter than usual. He did what she said and followed her without saying a word.

After they bade goodbye, both of them got into the car.

They were sitting in the back row of the car, leaving a space between them. Ye Sui did not dare to look at Chen Shu.

Ye Sui opened the window, and the night wind blew quietly across the long street. The cold air in the early winter brushed her face, but it didn’t help.

The car stopped at the parking lot of their building. They got out of the car and entered the elevator. This time, Ye Sui felt dizzy. She went next to Chen Shu and leaned against the cold elevator behind her.

As the elevator went up floor by floor, no one else entered except Chen Shu and Ye Sui.

It was said that wine could strengthen a person’s courage, and Ye Sui was no exception. Her spirits went up, and her courage soared. She thought of doing things she wouldn’t do at ordinary times.

Ye Sui looked at Chen Shu from time to time, and the emotions she did not dare to express also came out at this moment.

“Chen Shu,” she suddenly called his name.

Chen Shu seemed to be drunk, and his reaction became slower than usual. After a few seconds, he turned to look at Ye Sui. “What’s wrong?”

Ye Sui leaned against him and stretched out her hand in front. Without any scruples, she spoke what she dared not say before.

“I want to hold hands.”

Because of drunkenness, Ye Sui’s voice was somewhat aggrieved, just like a child who could not get a toy.

If she were normal, Ye Sui would never say such a thing so blatantly. Instead, she would take the opportunity of being afraid of ghosts to hold Chen Shu’s hand.

Chen Shu did not hesitate at all. He immediately reached out and held Ye Sui’s hand. He then closed his palm and wrapped Ye Sui’s hand in his own.

Even though she took advantage of being drunk, she was still not satisfied with the current situation. Ye Sui frowned and beat Chen Shu’s hand away.

With a pa, Chen Shu’s hand was knocked off.

Chen Shu didn’t understand Ye Sui’s action, looking at her blankly.

“I want to hold it like this.” Perhaps she had searched too much information about dating on the internet recently. Ye Sui firmly remembered that a boyfriend and girlfriend didn’t hold hands this way.

Holding hands meant interlocking each other’s fingers.

Ye Sui took the initiative to put her finger through the space between Chen Shu’s fingers and clenched it until she showed a satisfied smile. “This is the way.”

Seeing Ye Sui’s content appearance, he firmly held Ye Sui’s hand.

Hand in hand, the couple walked all the way back to their house. As soon as Chen Shu turned on the light on the porch, Ye Sui tugged on his shirt.

“Chen Shu, I am thirsty and want to drink water.” Ye Sui’s thoughts were full of Chen Shu, and she must do everything with him.

Chen Shu actually retracted his hand obediently. They stumbled towards the kitchen by using the light at the entrance since none of the lights on the top of the living room were turned on.

Chen Shu took a cup and bent down to fill it. Ye Sui also bowed slightly, watching him get the water.

Chen Shu handed the cup to Ye Sui. “Drink.”

Ye Sui took it with satisfaction. After drinking a big mouthful of water, she gave the cup back to Chen Shu. “Do you want to drink?”

Chen Shu didn’t care that Ye Sui had used the cup. He naturally held it and took a sip.

Chen Shu and Ye Sui, who did not know they had kissed indirectly, went to the sofa and sat down.

In the whole room, only the light at the porch was on, which made the living room dim. Ye Sui had to stay close to see Chen Shu’s face clearly.

“Chen Shu, do you think it’s a little dark here?”
