Chapter 88 - Pento And The Group
Chapter 88: Pento and the Group
Neither Bislo, Bisal, or Mark were able to defeat the metal wolves in a one-on-one battle, so they decided to fight the wolves together, and as a result, the group died during the loss of the fight at the same time.
They have already got used to spawning in the store since they have even lost count of how many times they've spawned from yesterday.
After spawning, they were returning to their portals right away as with every second passing in the actual world, their quest in Panagea was becoming difficult for them. Bislo had just taken his first step toward the room when his eyes fell upon Pento, who was staring at the group.
He froze in his steps as he needed to bow to the prince since he was an employee of the king. "Greetings, young prince!" He greeted with only a slight bow of his head as he was head of an organization and a Void Condensation expert.
"Hello, Mr. Bislo," Pento respectfully responded.
Mark and Bisal also greeted Pento after Bislo. Pento only nodded to their greetings.
"What are you doing here, Mr. Bislo?" Pento asked.
"Sorry, young prince. I currently don't have time to talk to you," Bislo apologized with a hurried expression on his face. Before Pento could respond, the group tried to rush to the portal room but had to stop after Aakesh told them to stop.
Aakesh then looked at Pento and expressionlessly said, "You can go with them and see what they're doing here."
"Okay, young prince, come with us. You could help us," Before Pento could speak anything in response, Bislo went to the prince and dragged him toward the portal room. He didn't forget to pay 175 inferior Primal stones before pulling Pento since they only had five hours left of their total time.
Pento had a dumbfounded expression as he saw devices like travel portals in the room. "Let's go, young prince, use that portal," Bislo said with a hurry on his face and pointed at the only empty portal.
But, Pento stood rooted on the ground as the sudden turnaround happened so fast that he didn't have the time to understand what happened. "Sorry, young prince, we don't have time," Bislo said as he pushed Pento in the portal, seeing him not moving. The next moment, he entered the world of Panagea, Mark and Bisal followed him.
"18 more," Aakesh murmured after Bislo pushed Pento into the portal.
While in the town Gandoline of Panagea, Pento with the group appeared. They were at a safe distance from the fighting going on between the guards and the metal wolves.
Pento tried to angrily yell at Bislo for pushing him, but words got stuck in his throat as he found himself in an unfamiliar area. As he glanced around, he saw beings with pointy ears fighting massive wolves even bigger than himself.
"Elves!" He exclaimed after seeing the Elves as it was his first time seeing them. He had heard several legends about their beauty, but when he saw the guard's appearances, he thought that even legends didn't do justice to their beauty.
"Where are we?" He then asked Bislo. His mood had calmed down seeing the appearance of the Elves.
"I would explain you about here later, but right now, we need to defeat those wolves," Bislo said with a hurried expression as with the passing of every second, the number of wolves was increasing while the same can't be said for the Elven guards.
The next moment, a blue screen appeared in front of Pento that only he could see. He was taken aback by the sudden appearance of a transparent screen in front of him.
"What's this blue screen? Can you see it?" He asked Bislo and the other two members of the group.
"Young Prince, I told you we don't have much time. Please read what's written on the blue screen and help us defeat the wolves," Bislo said with impatience and irritation evident in his voice.
Pento's face turned red from anger after hearing the tone in which Bislo talked about, but he controlled himself, as he would need the help of Bislo since Aakesh had refused to support him in the fight for the throne. He then took a deep breath to calm himself down as he would get an answer in some time and then focused on the blue screen floating in front of him.
"Let's go!" Bislo said after he noticed Pento taking his eyes away from the empty air in front of his eyes. He couldn't see the blue screen, but since one also appeared in front of him, he noticed the change in Pento. Pento expressionlessly nodded and followed the group into the fighting.
After Pento joined them, the fighting became several folds easier for them since being a prince, Pento had learned combat classes when he was a child, whereas no one in the group had any interest or experience in fighting. They were even weaker than the fighter of their equivalent level, so until now, they were dying regularly if the group of wolves exceeded five at the same time.
Time flew by, and twenty minutes had passed since Pento entered the world of Panagea. The group of four had killed more than fifty wolves until now without even dying for once, but suddenly an alarm and an announcement rang on the battlefield.
"Another horde of three thousand metal wolves have attacked us!"
The sudden announcement brought a look of horror on everybody's faces, fighting in the battle. The group knew why another horde had attacked them. It was due to the addition of Pento, another Adventurer in their midst.
Since they were only ordinary mortals in the battle against the wolves, fighting continuously for more than twenty minutes took a toll on them, mentally as well as physically. Their movements and attacks started turning lax, and the wolves started overpowering them.
They were fighting when suddenly a wolf from behind jumped on Pento. He saw that coming, but he couldn't dodge or fight back, so the wolf reached him and bit his head. After that killing, the group became easy food for the wolves.
The next moment, the group of four spawned in the store in the sequence of their death.
"I'm alive!" Pento exclaimed in happiness as he found himself uninjured in the store. Bislo had told him that he wouldn't die, but it was hard to believe until now when he found himself alive after death.
"Let's go! The mission has become even tougher," Bislo said as he rushed to the portal room.

A/N: Pento didn't go to the Appearance menu because Aakesh had told the system to remove that part as it looked stupid to him, and since he already entered Panagea with a playing group, he didn't hear the story of the ten Emperors.
