Chapter 85 - Panagea(2)
Chapter 85: Panagea(2)
Aakesh found an empty forge in the corner. He told the manager to wait for him in the store as he went to the forge. The manager nodded and returned to the store. He wanted to watch how Aakesh would upgrade the blade but didn't dare to do as it may offend him.
Aakesh started the forge and selected the temperature he wanted. He took out the hide grip from the blade and then threw it into the forge and waited for it to melt.
After it entirely melted, he took out the melted steel and then poured it into the mold to create the shape of the blade. After it took its form, he threw it again into the forge.
The process of blade creation continued for around fifty minutes since several devices could help in cooling and heating in no time.
The appearance of the blade had completely changed from before. It had a long, thin and straight appearance. It was made up of the same material, 'wolfsteel' since the material was underutilized in the previous situation. The grip was the same as before, made from wolf hide.
He didn't wait anymore after he completed the upgrade. He left underground and went up toward the store.
The manager was relaxing on his chair when he saw the door of the underground appearing and Aakesh coming out of the door the next moment.
"Did you fai-" He was going to ask if he failed as it hasn't been even an entire hour since Aakesh left, but his voice got stuck in his throat when he saw the shiny blade in his hand.
"Here, test it!" Aakesh ignored the manager's reaction and asked him to test the blade.
The manager nodded and gently took the blade in his hand. He took out a testing stone used to test the sharpness of the weapons and decided to use it.
He lightly swung the sword as he didn't want to destroy the testing stone, but the next moment a dumbfounded expression appeared on his face as the testing stone split into two.
It not only split the testing stone into two, but it also created a cut in the glass counter. The manager almost released the weapon in shock, but he controlled himself and didn't let it fall on the glass shelf.
"100,000 low soul stones!" Aakesh said the next moment, seeing the manager in shock after using the blade.
The manager absentmindedly nodded and took out a pouch from his store, and handed it to Aakesh. He took it and checked the amount in it. Having found the exact amount of stones in the pouch, he pinned the pouch to his waist since he was unable to manipulate the void and would only have access to space storage after crossing Level 50.
After taking the pouch, he turned around to leave the store when the manager suddenly called him. He turned around and expressionlessly stared at him to hear his reason.
"Adventurer, can you upgrade some more weapons?" He asked while his face was red with embarrassment. He didn't trust him at first, but now he himself was asking for help.
"No, I don't have time!" Aakesh refused right away as the time moved here at the same rate as in the real world, so he couldn't spend all his time here.
"I'll pay you 200,000 low soul stones!" The manager subconsciously replied as he was confident that the blade would at least sell for 600,000 low soul stones.
"No!" Aakesh refused right away and left the store. The manager only disappointedly looked at him leaving. He could've forced him to stay here and make weapons for him, but he had heard that Aakesh had killed more than ten thousand silver wolves single-handedly when he couldn't even manipulate energy.
After leaving the weapon store, he asked a passerby about where the spells and skills were sold. Once he knew where to find the items, he proceeded to the location.
There was only a single spell selling store in Wolfden and that too managed by the son of the town-head. When he reached there, he could already see the store filled with people.
The guards recognized him when he tried to enter the store, so they called the manager of the store, and then he personally took Aakesh around the store.
"Thank you for saving our town, Adventurer!" The manager thanked Aakesh.
"It was no big deal!" Aakesh expressionlessly responded.
"What kind of skills or spells do you want, Adventurer?" The manager asked Aakesh as he showed him around the store.
"Offensive!" Aakesh responded.
"Since you're Level 1, you can't buy elemental skills. You can only buy weapon skills. Should I show some of them to you?" The manager told Aakesh. Under the order of the town-head, elemental skills couldn't be sold to warriors under Level 25, as only then could the warrior learn to control an element.
Aakesh expressionlessly nodded in response. The manager then took Aakesh to the first floor where VIP customers could sit, and the salespeople would come and explain the skills.
Aakesh found a chair and sat upon it while the manager himself started showing him the spells. The manager told him about hundreds of spells and skills, but none interested him as he could cause more destruction without using the skills the manager wanted to sell to him.
"Here, it's one of our best non-elemental skills," A grin spread across the manager's face as he started explaining another skill to Aakesh.
"Its name is 'Ability-Learning'. It allows the user to copy the skill of people weaker than the user and use it for them once. If the user can upgrade the skill to its limit, then they can use the copied skill as many times as they want," The manager told Aakesh.
"How much does it cost?" Aakesh asked as it was the only skill he found interesting. His attack power would be even stronger if he learned the skills of someone weaker than him and then used them on his own level.
"Two million low soul stones!" The manager responded with a wide smile on his face. He didn't stop smiling as he added, "Owner has told us to give you 50% discount on whatever you buy today, sp you can buy this skill for only one million low soul stones."
Aakesh nodded and left the store without saying anything in response since currently, he only had 100,000 low soul stones on him.. The manager only stood there dumbfounded with no idea of what happened.
