Chapter 82 - New Quest
Chapter 82: New Quest
"Would it really let us grow strong without any fear of death?" Bislo asked with a shocked expression as what the store owner told him was something unheard of, as growing without any fear of death is the dream of every power leveler. Bisal and Mark also looked at Aakesh, eagerly waiting for his response.
"Why would I lie to you? Everything I told you is the truth," Aakesh expressionlessly responded, making excited expressions appear on the group's faces.
They found it unbelievable at first, but subconsciously, they wanted to believe Aakesh, so Bislo directly paid the fee required for three of them. He only paid for an hour each, as he first needed to see it for himself, then he would pay for other hours. He handed 225 inferior Primal stones to Aakesh and entered the portal. Bisal and Mark also took a step inside their respective virtual portals after him.
Right after, Bislo paid for an hour. A sudden alert appeared inside his head.
[Ding.]
[Host, congratulations on selling your first virtual hours! Please see the quest window for the quest.]
The next moment, a blue window containing the quest appeared in front of him.
[Mission Objective: Have twenty players enter the virtual portal,
Requirement: Since the first player has already joined the world of Panagea, it's time for you to make other players enter the world. Twenty players would be the start for countless players coming in the store to use the virtual portal,
Number of customers left: 20/20,
Days required: 7 days,
Mission reward: Ten more virtual portals,
Failure punishment: Decrease in the number of virtual portals by one.]
"Seven days," He whispered after seeing the quest screen. He only had seven days to get twenty new customers, as he was confident that these three wouldn't be counted now, no matter how many times they paid for the portal.
He then exited the room and returned to his chair, as the system had told him the customers would spawn outside after their time in the Panagea ended or they got killed.
He only had just sat on the chair when the group spawned in the store with horrified faces. "We are really alive!" Bisal shouted after seeing him alive and uninjured.
"Haha… now I can have a breakthrough to Peak Void Condensation and then Void Forging without any worry," Bislo started laughing after finding out that he wouldn't die in Panagea.
"Cough! Senior, do we have to pay for re-entering the portal?" His laugh got stuck, seeing Aakesh expressionlessly staring at him. He fake coughed and asked Aakesh. Even if he had to pay again, he would still enter the portal as it was the dream of the rich to grow powerful just by spending money and not dying.
"No! You've already paid for one hour, so you don't need to pay until that time," Aakesh expressionlessly responded.
"Here, please make one hour into six hours," Bislo suddenly said while handing 375 inferior Primal stones to Aakesh.
Aakesh nodded and took the stones from his hands. "Father, let's go. We need to take revenge on those metal wolves," Bisal urged.
The group then went into the room and entered the portal again.
"Hey, system, how many starting towns have you made for customers?" Aakesh asked the system as when he arrived on the Panagea, the town of Wolfden faced an attack from silver wolves, but Bisal talked about metal wolves, and there were no such species of wolves near Wolfden.
[There are more towns in Panagea than there are people in the Bisan Kingdom.]
The system responded in its emotionless and mechanical voice. "That is too many," Aakesh murmured as the population of the Bisan Kingdom exceeded hundreds of billions.
As Aakesh sat in his chair, he began to visualize how he would fight today's battle. He didn't want to get one-shotted like the battle yesterday.
Time flew by, and hours passed. The group of people had spawned several times during these past few hours, but they entered the portal right away as they didn't dare to disturb Aakesh from whatever he was doing. During this time, no customer came to his store.
Finally, six hours passed, and the group was forced out of the Panagea. They spawned back in the store and saw Aakesh still had closed eyes. They didn't want to disturb him, so they left the store with smiling faces.
Even though they were frustrated that they had to leave Panagea, the group smiled, knowing they could come back tomorrow. No one in the group passed the quests they got, so the six hours they spent in Panagea were a failure, but the feeling of not dying made them happy, and that was a success.
Only a few minutes had passed when Aakesh heard footsteps coming toward the store, so he opened his eyes. He saw Maria entering the store.
"Hello, senior!" She greeted Aakesh with a smile.
Aakesh expressionlessly nodded to her greetings and stood up from his chair. "I have new pills in the store. Do you want them?" He then asked her and told her the details of the newly added pills.
"Give me three medium energy meditation pills," Maria bought after hearing the details of the pills since it was the only one she could use currently.
Aakesh nodded and took out the pills Maria had asked for. He then handed her the pills, while Maria paid him 30 ordinary Primal stones.
"Senior! What's in that room?" Aakesh was just going to promote his virtual product to Maria when she suddenly asked while pointing at the only open room.
"It's the new product of the store," Aakesh expressionlessly answered and gestured her to follow him.
A shocked expression appeared on her face, seeing the portals in the store. She had seen a real travel portal in her life when she traveled with her father to a nearby Kingdom.
The portal she saw in the store didn't look anything like the travel portal she saw, but she had a subconscious feeling that it was better when compared with the travel portal.
Aakesh ignored her shocked reactions and told her the exact same thing he told the group before her, and she also had the same shocking reaction as them. She directly paid for the six hours and the activation fee as her trust in Aakesh was reverential. After paying, she entered the portal while Aakesh returned to his chair.
