Chapter 78 - First Victory
Chapter 78: First Victory
After reading about the skill, he thought of returning to the real world, and the next moment, he returned to the real world. He appeared in front of the virtual portal through which he had entered.
He checked his skill section right away and found the skill Wolfbane. "Useless skill!" He muttered again, seeing it in real life.
He didn't feel any effect from the energy he gained in Panagea because he was already way more powerful than him of the virtual world. He then took a look around the room once and left the room.
He noticed a board appearing next to the door of the room after exiting. He then focused on the contents of the board.
The first line was the name of the product in bright golden letters. It was 'Samsara Samraat'. After that, the brightness of the letters dimmed down severalfold. It then told the price of entering the world of Panagea.
Every time someone tries to enter the world of Panagea, they would've to pay an activation price of 50 infernal Primal stones, with every hour of their stay 25 infernal Primal stones. The longest any customer could stay in the world of Panagea is six hours.
"Hey, system, isn't the cost of entering cheap for entering a world like Panagea?" He asked after looking at the prices on the board. It appeared cheap to him to use a treasure like the virtual portal at such a low cost.
[Host, the price for entering is low because taking out a skill in the real world is expensive.]
The system responded in its mechanical and emotionless voice. "Oh… How much would you charge for taking a useless skill like Wolfbane in the real world?" He asked in response to the system's explanation.
[One top Primal stone without any conversion in Primal stones.]
In response, Aakesh did not say anything as he got dumbfounded after hearing the price of taking out such a useless skill. He then shook his head as it had nothing to do with him. The greater the people spend, the better it would be for him and the store.
"Hey, system, where is Lily?" He asked the system as he stopped thinking about the price issue for the virtual world.
The next moment, a black screen appeared in front of him. The scene of Lily then appeared on display.
A wry smile appeared on his face seeing the display, as he could see a Lion running away from Lily while she chased it with a laugh. He then thought of the screen disappearing, and it disappeared. He could've called her back, but he stopped since he wouldn't let her go out regularly, so he let her play to her content today. If she wanted to return, she could return anytime as she had permission to teleport directly into the store, despite it being closed.
He then went outside and took a look at the dark sky. The sun had already set, so the market was empty and silent. He then turned around and closed the door of the store.
After closing the store, he disappeared from the store and appeared in the selection ground. Then, he took out the bow he'd been using for millennia and disappeared from that place, reappearing in the familiar arena in the midst of cheers. As expected, the applause turned into boo right after Aakesh appeared in the battle arena.
It was the only place where he smiled except with Lily. A smile would subconsciously spread over his face, hearing the boos of the crowd.
"How are you, losers?" He responded while waving his hands, making the boos even louder.
The next moment, the crowd turned silent as Aakesh's opponent appeared.
"You looked confident today!" The opponent said as he glazed at Aakesh.
Aakesh only smiled in response to the opponent's question. He took out his place and waited for the opponent to get in position.
With the loud sound of the bell ringing in the arena, the battle started. Both of them disappeared from their positions while the sound of metal clashing echoed continuously in the battle arena.
The crowd silently watched the battle as everyone could follow the actions of the combatants. Suddenly, the sky got covered by countless arrows like in the previous fight.
The air in the arena suddenly started flowing in the opposite direction as a white flash appeared, aiming to engulf every arrow and Aakesh.
The crowd looked at the scene of the flash engulfing Aakesh with their mouth wide open, but the next moment their eyes went wide open as the flash that threatened to submerge Aakesh flew in the opposite direction, even faster than before.
The flash engulfed Aakesh's opponent in no time. It all happened so fast that he had no time to counterattack or defend himself. The next moment, the whole arena turned silent as Aakesh appeared in the battle arena, whereas his opponent was nowhere to be found.
The next moment, light particles started accumulating in the center of the battle arena. It then took the form of Aakesh's opponent.
The opponent bent down right after appearing as surviving from the attack took everything out of him. Suddenly, an arrow arrived and took his head away with it. As if the arrow was sentient, it took a round around the arena for the crowd to see the head of the opponent.
After taking a round around the entire battle arena, the arrow with the head of the opponent on top of it faded into light.
The next moment, a screen appeared in front of Aakesh. It had two options, whether to face the round again or challenge to the next stage. He chose the option of challenging the next stage without even thinking twice.
The damage that had been sustained by the battle arena was automatically repaired after he chose the option. The corpse of his opponent also disappeared.
A few seconds later, his opponent for this round appeared. He was shocked at first, seeing the opponent, but the next moment he controlled the shock. It was the same man who had faced in the previous round.
The opponent took his stance right away and gestured for Aakesh to take his. The next moment, the bell rang and signified the starting of the battle.
Before Aakesh could even think of doing anything, he lost his consciousness as his head flew away, detached from his lower body.
