Chapter 1583: Changes with Time!
Time was like a stream that flowed without any blockage, and more than a thousand years passed for the people of the Sacred Dimension.
In the lives of the inhabitants who had eternal lifespans, hundreds of years didn't bring that much change to them, but for the people of Thorr City, it was a thunderous change.
Thorr City was one of the many insignificant cities of one of the many insignificant kingdoms on the planet, but now it was not only the largest city of the kingdom but the universe in which the planet was. Due to the city's fame, even Curiel became known to countless people scattered across the gigantic Sacred Dimension, let alone a measly kingdom. It all happened due to a store that looked like any other building in a large empty area.
Thorr City now controlled a large area of several hundred billion square. miles, which was even larger than the kingdom-controlled area. Since there was a contract between the kingdom and the city lord, it was still counted as part of the kingdom.
"I am here," Emeka called out to his mother as he entered the residence.
Emeka belonged to the human race that had settled into Thorr City a few hundred years ago. He was a man in his teenage years and had just completed his basic education.
Many schools had opened across the city to help the large population. Since the area belonged to Thorrons and other species of their group originally, there was still xenophobia due to the inherent race feature of the demons, so many races had their own schools. But since it was the territory of Alfred and Asher, it was they who made the rules that every race had to follow. No one dared to contradict those rules because of the store.
Even though the store owner had never taken any sides or even shown anything for the policies of Alfred and Asher, they still didn't want to test the outcome.
According to the policies of the city, every child born in the city had to go through basic education. It was more of a practical than theoretical study and a simple one at that.
Races had their own schools for their members and only needed to teach cultivation to their students. Basic education was over when a child stepped into the Divine Being level.
Due to the store and its miraculous products, the power level of the city had grown tremendously. Thorr City alone had around a few hundred native True Gods, with Alfred being at the highest level of the late True God and Asher not very far from him.
The spiritual environment of the city had also grown tremendously. Alfred and Asher were the two leaders of the race, and they both knew the importance of the store owner's happiness and the store, so they always invested the majority of the returns to the city to make it livable for powerful beings.
Uzoma couldn't help but exclaim in joy upon hearing her son's voice and rushed out. Her eyes turned red when she saw her son, who was now a teenager over seventy years.
Parents had to admit their children into schools when they were ten years old and could only see them after their basic education was complete, so it had been over sixty years since the mother and son saw each other.
Even Emeka couldn't help but tremble as he saw his mother after so long. His eyes turned moist, but he controlled himself and hugged his mother.
Her mother's cry seemed to be infectious, as he also began to cry. For the next few minutes, the pair of mother and son hugged each other while crying.
Finally, a third person arrived and broke the atmosphere. It was the father who patted his son's head and then walked inside.
Emeka stopped crying when he saw his father and hurriedly wiped his tears as he didn't want the latter to see him in such a state. Uzoma couldn't help but grumble at her husband, which was only met with silence.
Emeka's father, Orzey, wasn't an ordinary human but one of the pillars of the human race in the city. Orzey was the only human in the Sacred Dimension to win the annual contest organized by the store, making his deeds historic for all the generations to come.
"Father, I am going to be the second human to bring that glory to our race," Emeka promised his father at the dinner table.
"Can you first finish the food on the table," Uzoma grumbled before Orzey could respond and let the conversation between the two get bigger.
***
Orzey, Uzoma, and Emeka stood in front of the store. Uzoma had a helpless expression, while Emeka was filled with admiration. It was only the first day after her son returned from school, and he already wanted to go to the store.
The trio wasn't the only one there, as groups of people were coming from all directions toward the store. It wasn't an ordinary day for the store, but that day was one of the annual contest days.
When Emeka followed his parents inside, his eyes turned as wide open as they could. The store's insides were like another world itself.
There were chairs after chairs and people from different races sitting on it. So many chairs that it was impossible to count with a glance even for the likes of Orzey, who was already a Supreme God.
If the three were to walk to their chairs, it would take them days, but fortunately for them, a transfer array was arranged at the store's door.
Immediately after stepping inside, the trio appeared near the seating area with three empty chairs.
Even though Emeka was only around six feet, he could still see the platform as if he were standing beside it due to the screen.
"Where is the store owner?" It was past the time the annual contests were held in previous years, and the platform was empty, so he couldn't help but ask.
How could Orzey and Uzoma know what the store owner wanted to do, so they just shook their heads, having the same doubts.
