The Dungeon Conquerors: Journey to the Peak

While things in Rein's side went extremely smoothly, that was not the case with Lopas and Luna. It turned out that there were a few extremely hard headed mages on the governor's side and as soon as they saw Lopas and Luna and found them to be extremely young, they became completely unwilling to listen to anything that they had to say.

This was an extremely irritating situation for both of the girls, specially for Lopas who was very unused to things like this. So she had no resistance to this. So after getting extremely angry, Lopas did exactly what her heart told her to do and she beat up all those supposedly old and experienced mages.

As a rank 4 mage herself, Lopas was on a completely different level from these mages even with her own merit without considering her family and linage. So there was no reason for Lopas to accept their foolish insults without retaliation.

The noise that the rampage of a rank 4 mage made was very loud. That attracted the attention of many people including the strongest mage of the government. He was a very old man and had worked as the defender of this city for an extremely long time. He was also very respected by all the people of the city.

That was why all the people present in the area of disturbance became extremely surprised when that respected mage started bowing to a little girl whose age was barely equal to his granddaughter. This man was well known for his high pride, so the people were extra suprised with his super respectful attitude.

But soon the reason for that was explained by the mouth of the man himself. This little girl turned out to be the daughter of the Leonance family. The Leonance family was extremely famous with a Magus in their ranks. So there were almost no one in this nation who were not aware of them.

With her identity finally acknowledged, Lopas calmed down and introduced Luna too. Everyone present was once again dumbstruck after learning that the other little girl was a royal princess.

Most of the people present in the area were working for the government of the city. And as this city was actually under the direct control of the royal family, technically all of them were Luna's subordinates.

As soon as the people realised that their boss was standing before them, they hurriedly started bowing. Luna did not stopped them as she needed to establish her dominance first with what she was planning to do.

But treating them too submissively was also not a good thing. So after some time, with kindness in her voice, Luna permitted all of them to stand up. Then she ordered them to bring her to the governor with a firm voice.

Immediately a few people went to inform the governor about Luna's presence while a few others started to escort the two girls to a reception room meant for their biggest VIPs. The old mage of the Leonance family followed behind the girls like an obedient servant.

As soon as the governor was told about the presence of the royal princess, he immediately hurried to meet her. Even though he might sound prideful, first and foremost, the governor was a coward.

He was going against the Serenity Peace because he was confident that his side would definitely win in a head on clash. But at the same time, he was aware that disrespecting the royal family in this nation was equal to forfeiting his life. So he was very much unwilling to be that foolish.

That was how Lopas and Luna were able to meet with the governor without waiting for long. The governor was also an old man and as he was not a very strong mage, his lifespan was also very limited.

Luna told him all the things she had heard about him directly without beating around the bush. With her status, she had no reason to be cautious around this man.

But what surprised the two ladies was the honesty of the governor. He did not lie about anything and accepted all the complains. He even apologied to Luna for his incompetency in managing the city.

As soon as the governor got the sense that the royal princess was dissatisfied with his attitude toward the serenity peace, he was immediately ready to change it. Even if now he had lost his motivation, this man had managed to become the governor of this famous city after fighting against many opponents. Without good talent and intelligence, that was not possible.

With the governor being so cooperative, Luna and Lopas were at a loss for what to do. Even though they knew about a lot of things and were extremely intelligent, they were still quite young and lacked the experience to handle this kind of matter.

They came here with the intention of getting rid of the governor and taking the management of the city in their hands. But now that the governor was being very cooperative, they were unable to bring themselves to immediately dismiss him.

In this troublesome situation, one solution came to both of their mind. Immediately both of them decided to bet on that solution which was to ask for Rein's help. Even though Rein was also just as young as them, the girls had confidence that he would be able to do anything and everything. So they used a magic item to call for Rein's help.

After getting the message, Rein immediately left the base of the Serenity Peace and went to meet with his girls. He was in a good mood as he had managed to find the documents he needed to take back to the capital and they were also in good condition. So now he was completely relaxed about this whole situation.

After coming to the government building of the city, Rein immediately asked Lopas and Luna to explain the situation in detail. He was told about the situation very briefly in the message.

After he had the full idea about the situation, Rein immediately started to take measured steps to solve the problem. Rein was quite used to things like this.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

First he ordered all the staff of the government to go back to their work on behalf of Luna. Then he had a private meeting with governor. In that private meeting, Rein had a long conversation with him and at the end of the conversation, he broke down telling Rein how he had lost all his drive and motivation after working in this very exhausting field for several decades.

So after telling Rein about all his burdens, the governor showed her willingness to retire from his position. He wanted to do this even earlier but as he had very little time left in his terms, he felt that he could endure it for a little bit longer. But after relieving his burdens to Rein, he was finally ready to put down his mantle.

Now with the governor on board, everything went smoothly. In no time Rein was able to get both sides to a meeting where the new direction for the city was decided. An appeal was also sent to the royal family through Luna for a new governor. So finally the trouble looming over the city was gone with Rein and his girls' intervention.
