The Cursed King

Chapter 160 - Should She Call Him 'Hubby'?

The very next day at around dawn, Marc Sanderman wasn't actually surprised when he received a text from his uncle that Elise was going to take some time off from work after they got married, for an indefinite time.

Loriel really wanted to make up for the lost time and have his wife to himself. He had been patient enough to share her with her work and her coworkers.

Now, he wanted to spend so much time with her, traveling the world under the excuse of going on a honeymoon.

Ha. If it was up to him, Loriel would take Elise on an indefinite honeymoon. They would live their lives every day being in love and enjoying being pampered. He had so many beautiful places and amazing experiences that he would want to show his beloved.

[So, does this mean she accepted your proposal?] Marc asked excitedly.

Loriel narrowed his eyes and grumbled, 'What kind of stupid question is that? Of course, she accepted my proposal? Who would I marry and have a honeymoon with if Elise rejected me?'

He massaged his temple, holding back from rolling his eyes. No matter what, Marc was his family. He shouldn't be too harsh. Mr. Sanderman Sr. was so loyal and good to him. And the man begged Loriel on his deathbed to take good care of his son, Marc.

Very well. Loriel had to copy Elise's way of doing things. She always saw the good in people and thought in a positive way.

Maybe Marc was just excited and asked unnecessary questions. Loriel should forgive his stupidity this time. The former king turned to his side and saw his wife's sleeping face. She looked so beautiful and at peace.

Smiling, Loriel typed in his reply to Marc. [She did.]

Marc heaved a sigh of relief. It seemed like Marc made a good call by hanging up last night and leaving the two to have their intimate moment.

While Marc was interested in learning more about his grand-uncle, it didn't mean that he was eager to know too much. For now, he sent a reply for the success of the proposal.

[Congratulations, Uncle!]

[Have Alex prepare wedding ideas today, Elise will be consulting with her.]

[Of course, Uncle.]

Marc didn't tell Loriel that he hung around for a bit when Loriel called him last night--he didn't have a death wish.

Instead, he said yes.

Surely the two of them didn't have sex until this time and they were just going to bed, were they? Marc coughed and shook the thoughts away from his head and instead sent another text to his assistant.

[When you get to work, focus on making several wedding plans]

[When is the wedding, by the way?] Marc sent his reply to Loriel. The man smiled happily when he read Loriel's order. Ahh.. his uncle seemed very happy. Marc was happy for him too.  So, after the successful proposal, Marc assumed Loriel's next plan was to plan a wedding.

[As soon as possible.] Came a reply from Loriel

Marc was sure that Alex was going to get some kind of heart attack once she heard the news and he was all for it. This was going to be fun for him and he thought it was about time that his grand-uncle was going to be happy in life.

Loriel didn't want to wake up since Elise was still fast asleep. He still wanted to hug her in his embrace. So, he snuggled closer and hugged her back, before closing his eyes.

It felt so warm, in contrast to the snowing city outside of their windows.

***

Last night was filled with mind-blowing sex that made Elise blush heavily when she woke up in Loriel's arms. Even just the proposal was enough to get her excited to spend time with him.

For now, though, Elise got up and prepared for the day.

Or at least attempted to.

Loriel's arm hung protectively across her waist and the man was fast asleep. Somehow, Elise could already imagine what their future was like… and it was very familiar?

Maybe she was just being silly.

The two of them have never stayed together like this and it was just her heart being silly.

Last night they decided to spend it on Loriel's bedroom. Since it was the master bedroom, it was bigger and nicer than hers, which was already amazing on its own.

His bed was comfy and huge. They had sex on his bed after dinner and then decided to cuddle and watched some show. Then, before sleeping, they had sex again. It was tiring but so fulfilling.

She felt her heart flutter and her cheeks flush when she saw the man sleeping peacefully beside her. She could see his chiseled physique from up close and she couldn't help but licked her lips.

Ahh.. this man was too good-looking, she thought. She felt lucky that this attractive and sensitive man was in love with her. After they got engaged, Loriel even called her 'Wifey' when they were making love.

This thought made Elise's beat faster. Gosh… why did feel so good when she heard him call her 'wife'? Was she that excited to be married to him soon?

His voice when calling her 'wife' had a certain charm to it, that made Elise love hearing it more than her own name.

'I must be obsessed with wedding and marriage because of the proposal,' Elise thought to herself. It had only been one day, but his calling her 'Wifey' was all she was thinking about.

Should she call him 'hubby'?

Uff… that sounds cheesy, she thought.

She tried to practice calling the man 'hubby' by a whisper. It felt weird. Ahahaha… It was so hard to get herself to call the man she used to call by name as 'hubby. She wondered how Loriel could so it so easily.

After Loriel confessed his love to Elise and said he wanted to be in a relationship with her, Loriel had started calling her 'honey'. He did it effortlessly, even though they had never dated before. They started as friends who became roommates.

And then, last night, right after he proposed, Loriel had started calling Elise his wife. Also effortlessly.

And that word came out of his lips so naturally as if they were already husband and wife. How could he do it so easily? Elise was wondering,

And here she was, trying to whisper the word 'hubby' to see how it would feel… and she almost rolled on the floor laughing.

'It's so haaaard. So hard..' Elise's lips twitched,  holding back her laughter.
