Chapter 403 The Poison God!
"Raise… Aim… Release…"
As the deadly rain of poison arrows descended from the sky, Kent stared at them with a smirk. Like an emotional being, the divine disc began rotating in a blur, ready to unleash.
The battlefield held its breath, as they wondered how Kent could avoid poison. But no one knows that he is the real master of poison.
Just as the arrows reached close to the throne, the divine disc hovering above Kent spun with unmatched precision, slicing through every arrow that dared to approach.
The arrows disintegrated into dust. But the poison spread heavily in the air around Kent. The once clear atmosphere became a haze of venom, a suffocating mist that even the most seasoned warriors feared.
But Kent, seated on his majestic throne, showed no sign of fear. His eyes remained calm, even as the deadly cloud surrounded him.
"Vaishali," [Chariot spirit name] Kent called out, "protect the charioteer."
In an instant, the throne responded to his command. The arsenal chamber opened, and Fatty, who had been lying unconscious on the steps, was swiftly enveloped in a protective barrier.
A murmur of disbelief rippled through the battlefield. "What is he doing? Is he not going to protect himself?" one of the 7th Realm fighters whispered, his voice trembling with uncertainty.
"He's a fool," another archer muttered, shaking his head. "No one can survive that poison. He's done for."
But time passed, and to the shock of everyone watching, Kent remained unharmed. The poison, which should have been strong enough to kill even the Mortal Sovereigns, seemed to have no effect on him. He stood there, unscathed, like a sacred tree amidst a field of withering weeds.
The realization dawned slowly on those watching. The disbelief was palpable as eyes widened and jaws dropped. The fighters from the other realms, who had once seen Kent as nothing more than an obstacle to be removed, now stared at him as if he were a ghost.
"This... this isn't possible," stammered the leader of the 7th Realm archers, his voice a mix of fear and awe.
Kent's lips curled into a smirk as he took in the sight of his enemies' fear.
"I really pity your souls," he said, his voice carrying a calm menace that sent chills down the spines of those who heard him.
Slowly, he rose from his throne, his presence commanding the attention of every being on the battlefield.
For a moment, Kent paused, reflecting on the path that had led him here. Till now, he had refrained from using poison arrows, respecting the cautionary words of the Poison God consciousness that warned him to reserve such measures for self defense.
Poison was not to be wielded lightly. It was a tool of last resort, meant for survival in dire situations. But now, the enemy had broken the unspoken code. They had used poison against him, and in doing so, they had insulted the very essence of the Poison God.
"If I don't use poison now, it would be a shame to the Poison God himself." " Kent thought to himself.
With this in mind, Kent crossed his arms and reached for the Divine Quiver strapped to his back. From it, he drew a handful of specially coated arrows, each one infused with the rarest and deadliest poisons known to man.
Holding ten of these arrows in his grip, he stared down the battlefield, his gaze locking onto the other realm disciples.
"You guys brought this on yourself. I hope you will learn your lessons in your next life."
The moment the arrows left his hand, they split into countless more, multiplying like venomous vipers unleashed upon the battlefield. They shot through the air with deadly precision and turned into dust before releasing clouds of poisons all over the battlefield..
The poison they carried was unlike anything the enemy had faced before—potent, lethal, and utterly merciless.
Panic erupted within the ranks of the other realm disciples. A commotion filled the Black Lotus formation, the once organized ranks descending into chaos. "Antidote arrows! Quickly!" the leader of the archers shouted, his voice cracking with desperation.
The archers of the 7th Realm scrambled to follow the order, launching antidote arrows in a frantic attempt to counter the poison.
But their efforts were in vain. The poisons Kent had used were beyond their comprehension, rare concoctions that no other poison healer could treat. The enemy disciples fell like insects drawn to a flame, their bodies collapsing as the poison spread through their veins.
"What is this sorcery?" the onlookers murmured in disbelief.
Simon stared in disbelief as his army fell to ground in mere moments. He really wondered why Kent didn't use these arrows from the start.
"Run! Run!" one of the archers yelled, his voice a mix of terror and resignation.
"We're doomed! Escape now!" Cries filled among the other realms disciples and the Black Lotus formation crumbled in seconds.
Simon, who had been watching from a distance, felt the icy grip of fear clutch at his heart. This wasn't supposed to happen. Kent was supposed to be finished, defeated, yet here he was, turning the tide of battle with a power that defied all expectations.
Desperation surged within him, and he hastily activated a Space Distortion spell, creating a barrier to separate himself from the surrounding air, hoping it would shield him from the poison.
But it wasn't just the poison that Simon had to fear.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
As the chaos reached its peak, a new presence made an appearance in the sky. The sky above the battlefield turned pitch dark, and the air grew thick with an ominous energy. Suddenly, a figure appeared in the sky, a figure whose very appearance caused a hush to fall over the battlefield.
It was the Poison God, his form shrouded in a dark, ethereal mist. His eyes gleamed with a sly, malevolent grin as he surveyed the battlefield below. The gods who had been watching from above, recoiled in surprise at the sight of him.
"The Poison God..." one of the deities whispered, his voice tinged with both awe and fear.
The Poison God gazed down at Kent, his expression one of approval and pride. "Finally, a worthy pawn." he muttered to himself, ignoring the sight of other gods.
Simon, realizing that his final defense might not be enough, stared back at Kent with growing horror. The tables had turned, and now it was he who stood on the brink of destruction.
