Chapter 687: Chapter 681: Don’t Mess With

Who knows how many mercenary groups had a chilling sensation when they saw this warrant? Many of them directly passed on the related rules to their members, instructing them not to undertake any tasks that had to do with the prince. In the world of mercenary groups, there were all sorts of tasks, but this event was like a ringing alarm bell.

Indeed, this prince, as per the rumor, did emerge from a primitive planet and inherit his own legacy. But despite the inheritance, there wasn’t much strength behind it, he didn’t even have his own spaceship. But now? The prince is without even a single spaceship of his own.

But can members of the royal family be easily dealt with? Yes, they might not have many spaceships or resources, but they have plenty of money! Simply having a lot of money is terrifying enough, it’s how two big pirate groups were directly taken out. If anyone else dares to challenge them, they better weigh in the power of their opposing strike.

These two pirate groups thought they could handle it, but look at the outcome now?

“Are you too rich and have nowhere to spend your money?” Jasmine Davis had some doubts. Did this mean too much money was a problem? Was the initial amount not enough that they spent an additional 50 billion star credits?

“Overspending has nothing to do with it, I’m merely demonstrating a principle to everyone: if you are looking for trouble with me, you should be prepared for my counterattack.” Finn Lewis calmly said, shaking his head.

“Okay, I can’t comprehend the perspective of you rich people. To you guys, money is no different than waste paper.” Jasmine Davis, shaking her head in resignation, spoke out. “I’ve made up my mind, I would like the warship next to you. You wouldn’t renege on your promise, would you?”

“Laughable, when have I ever gone back on my word? Isn’t it just a few billion star credits? I’ve already spent hundreds of billions, what’s a few billion more? Also, even though I completed the task in the name of your mercenary group, you don’t have to pay me back. If there is any need in the future, I will find you. Consider half of that money as my thanks to you for saving me, and the remaining half, well, I may ask you to purchase some things for me in future.” Finn Lewis weighed up his response.

Jasmine Davis was preparing to leave, but upon hearing Finn’s words, she stumbled over her own feet, almost falling towards the ground. She turned her head and looked at Finn. Jasmine Davis, with a puzzled expression, asked, “You mean it?”

“My word is my bond! Luna Starfield, send the orders down; transfer the rights of the next ship, including all the combat robots, over to them.” Finn Lewis simply nodded his agreement to the command.

“Yes, Your Highness, I have issued the orders.” Luna Starfield crisply responded.

“You can send someone to take delivery of your spaceship now.” Finn Lewis said to Jasmine Davis with a smile.

Jasmine Davis couldn’t believe her fortune; she had just acquired a top-tier warship. She knew well what a top-tier interstellar warship meant in the world of interstellar pirates. A group owning a top-tier warship was unique, and even then, there was only a single one, which was initially repaired from a battered, shabby spacecraft.

Although the physical sizes of a top-tier and second-tier warship might be similar, the difference in technology, main gun power, and other weaponry is as vast as the distance from earth to the sky. The combat capability of a spaceship is not dependent on its size. The size of some transport ships could be larger, but a small battleship could easily obliterate them.

These warships have different functionalities, hence their combat abilities naturally vary. Now that she had a brand new, top-tier warship, it meant a prosperous future for their pirate group. At least Jasmine believed no one would dare to mess with them.

“Thank you,” said Jasmine Davis sincerely, bowing to Finn Lewis. Whether using a first-class warship would attract trouble or not, Jasmine Davis didn’t care. They were already knee-deep in trouble; they couldn’t possibly worry about one more. Besides, since when did pirates gain rights? As pirates had never had any rights, they certainly wouldn’t start caring about these kinds of troubles.

For small pirate groups like them, most members were actually pitiful. There were some vicious pirates in these small groups, but they became pirates out of compulsion. Unlike those from the big pirate groups, they were not originally pirates; they only turned into pirates because of the support they got from influential people.

These are the ones who engage in all kinds of wicked deeds!

“You’re welcome. If anyone should say thank you, it should be me to you. By the way, after receiving the warship, are you planning to leave, or do you want to come with me to my territory to take a look?” Finn Lewis looked at Jasmine Davis and extended his invitation.

Jasmine Davis hesitated momentarily. After giving it some thought, she replied, “I think I’ll go with you. Just in case something happens to you along the way, I’ll be around to help.”

“Haha, good. I welcome your company.” Finn Laughs heartily.

Jasmine Davis could have readily left, Finn didn’t know why she wanted to accompany him. But since she was willing to come along, Finn didn’t mind. Her character was well known to him, she wasn’t a bad person. Rather, all her actions were a result of being forced into this life.

It was a woman leading a pirate group of hundreds of thousands of people; not a small number. Some small countries on Earth have fewer people than that. Although most of these people were families of pirates and refugees, leading so many people and with utmost importance ensuring their survival, put a tremendous pressure on her.

The battle here had ended and Caleb Shaw was ready to take his leave. Before leaving, He gave Finn a new line of communication which leads directly to him. His exact words to Finn were, ‘should you need anything, just get in touch directly with us. We can sell you all sorts of stuff, including warships.’

Caleb left in a small warship, bidding Finn good-bye with a smile, “Your Highness, there’s a small gift for you in the No.1 hangar of this ship. I hope you’ll like it.”

Finn didn’t ask about the present, he simply smiled and nodded in acknowledgement. Only after Caleb had left did Finn, out of curiosity, head towards the No.1 hangar. “What is in there?” Finn asked, intrigued. Now that the entire fleet was under the control of Luna Starfield, Luna should know what was in there.
