'Do I need to become a Duke or a Sovereign?'

Lucas asked with a calm look on his face because he finally understood something and it was the heavens and the system that works on the same mechanism.

The system wants its host to become powerful and only when he is powerful, the system could be upgraded and the system unlocks more information.

As for the Heavens, Lucas needs to contribute more and more towards the human race to upgrade his rank.

So, Lucas felt they worked on the same principle.

Also, Lucas didn't doubt the heavens because how could the mysterious organization operate under the Heavens without the Heavens knowing about them?

'Even though someone can temporarily block the Heavens' vision, they can't do it forever.'

Lucas silently thought about it in his head and he was not worried that the heavens might hear.

'Just upgrade your rank to Duke grade and you can get the basic information on the mysterious organization.'

The heavens just answered Lucas' question and asked him to become at least a Duke to gain access to the information on the Mysterious organization.

'Duke? Fine.'

Lucas was a little surprised because he was expecting the heavens to say that he had to become a Sovereign to learn about the Mysterious organization.

Nevertheless, he suppressed his emotions and asked, 'So, why don't you give me the reward for my contribution?'

He killed many evil spirit beasts today and adding the partial contribution from his spirit beasts and his followers to his contribution, Lucas thought he would easily become a Marquis.

'I just need another big fight with the evil race and I can become a duke before gaining the intel on the mysterious organization.'

Lucas waited for his reward from the heavens while thinking about his future.

When he thought about it, becoming a Duke seemed relatively easy and he was excited as he was going to learn about the organization that kidnapped his little brother sooner than he had anticipated.

According to his original thoughts, it would take at least a year before he starts his plan to keep an eye on the members of that mysterious organization; however, if he focused on becoming a Duke, he could directly gain intel on the organization from the heavens.

'After calculating your contribution in today's fight against the evil spirit beasts, you can become an Earl.'

However, Lucas' thoughts were spoiled when he heard the respectful voice of the Heavens in his head.

'What? Only a single rank upgrade?'

Lucas was thinking he would at least gain two ranks upgrade; however, he only received a single rank upgrade.

'Yes. I added 25 percent of the contribution from everyone who fought against the evil spirit beasts today, to your contribution and it is exactly enough for you to gain a single rank upgrade.'

The voice still maintained a respectful tone as it clearly explained everything about the contribution.

Since the heavens would give gifts to the others who participated in the fight against the evil spirit beasts. However, they are all either Lucas' followers or subjects. So, whatever they contribute towards the human race, 25 percent of it will be added to Lucas' tab,

'25 percent? Even with 25 percent, I can only upgrade a single rank?'

Lucas raised his brows as he continued, 'Looks like the road to becoming a Duke will be very tough. I wonder how long it will take for me to become a Sovereign.' 

Nevertheless, Lucas was not going to stop upgrading his rank because the more information he got about the mysterious information, the better it was for him to rescue Evan.

'Also, you have received another reward and it is that you can create three new villages.'

As Lucas was keeping his thoughts in line, he heard something that made him pleasantly surprised.

'Villages? For me?'

In the firmament world, there are villages, towns and cities. Villages have less population, less area, fewer facilities and everything is less.

As for towns, they were better than villages but not as good as cities.

Actually, anyone can create the villages; however, the villages blessed by the heavens would have additional properties and benefits. What's more, he would be getting three of them.

'Take these three tokens. It will help you in creating the villages; however, you have to develop them on your own.'

The heavens' voice resounded in Lucas' head as three golden tokens with a small house icon on them.

'Thank you.'

Lucas thanked the heavens for the rewards as he asked, 'Since I am an Earl, can you tell me everything an earl has an access to learn from the Heavens?'

Lucas was just waiting for this time as he asked the heavens as he wanted to make use of his privileges.

Since he could not get the basic information on the mysterious organization, he could learn about others things to which he had access. So, he asked the heavens to explain everything he could learn with his current level of access.

'You are such an intelligent one among all the humans I have met…Haha.'

A chuckle could be heard in Lucas's head as he waited for the heavens to explain him.

'Coming to the main point, it will take a very long time if I explain everything to you and you don't have much time left to leave this realm.'

The heavens didn't explain to him anything as the voice continued, 'Instead, I will transmit all the knowledge an earl has access to, directly into your head. What do you say?'

'I am willing to take it.'

Lucas just needed the information. The more it is, the better it was for me. So, he hurriedly nodded his head.

'Until now, no earl received this information; however, you will be receiving it because you are the first one to ask it.'

'Aargh'

As soon as the voice in Lucas' head stopped, he felt a sharp pain in his forehead as though something was entering into his head.
