Rise of the Crusader

Chapter 136

136 Plotting

Meanwhile, inside a room in the fourth block, Vincent sat in the dark and quiet room with his hand folded across his chest.

A knock suddenly came from the door, it was then pushed a second later, and as the person walked into the room, he turned on the light.

“Sir, I have brought the people you asked for.” The obese build teenager called Simon exclaimed.

And it wasn’t up to three seconds after Simon spoke, and three figures walked into the room.

There were two males and one female, and if there was one feature that was similar between the three of them was the arrogant expression that was on their faces.

Vincent, however, didn’t seize the three that had just walked in. He appeared to be staring at them, but at the same time, his focus was elsewhere.

“Sir Vin-”

Simon was about to speak when Vincent waved his hand at him.

Vincent then seized the three students in front of him, “Simon, you must have a death wish, right!”

.....

“I told you to get competent individuals, instead you brought trash to me. Does it look like I want to have a house cleaned up?” Vincent spoke in a cold tone.

There was a displeased look on three students beside Simon.

Simon gulped, and then took a step forward. “No, sir Vincent, I promise you this is the best of the best.”

“In fact, it is rumored that the academy considers them a prospect for the future.” Simon blurted.

The expression on Vincent’s face, however, didn’t change. He continued to stare at the three of them, evidently displeased by their presence in the room.

As Simon saw the look on Vincent’s face, his voice rang out.

“I know they aren’t the ones that you asked for, but I can’t think of anyone better than them to take care of the job you asked for.”

Vincent sneered, “What about Jeremy and Victor?” He asked.

Simon flashed a rough smile when he heard Vincent.

“Victor opposed to the plan, and for Jeremy...” Simon paused.

“And what?!” Vincent yelled.

“I wasn’t able to get through Jeremy, because of the defense around him, and even when I was able to get in touch with him, he said he isn’t interested,” Simon admitted.

Vincent’s hand balled into a fist, his eyes then flickered with killing intent present in them.

“Does he know that I was the one who sent you?” Vincent couldn’t help but ask.

And in response, Simon nodded his head several at him. “Yes, I told him the request came from you, but he still wasn’t interested.”

“His... His exact word was ‘Go get a life’ Simon frowned as he recalled the ridicule in Jeremy’s eyes as he spoke.

“Jeremy is way too prideful, someone has to take him down. He doesn’t even hold you in high regard, sir Vincent.” Simon blurted.

The words had already left Simon’s mouth when he realized that he just made a pass at his boss. He stared at Vincent and as he saw the furious look on his, he lowered his head quickly.

Vincent moved his gaze from Simon and stared at the three beside him.

“Who are they?”

A smile formed on Simon’s face when he heard Vincent. He rushed towards the three and began to introduce them.

“This is Hugo from the murderer division and this is Clement from the norm’s division,” Simon said, pointing his hand at the duo one after the other.

Hugo and Clement had both black hair and a goatee. They were of slender stature, but while Clement was of average height, Hugo was very tall.

“And this is Amber,” Simon said, moving his gaze to the blonde hair woman.

Amber was the youngest in the room, she had fair skin, brown eyes, and short blonde hair.

She was wearing the academy uniform and stood with her hand folded across her chest with a bothered look on her face.

“Amber is a student of the assassination division.”

Vincent had remained neutral the whole time, but the moment, Simon introduced Amber, his eyes twitched, and he stood on the chair he was on.

The smile on Simon’s face widened, as he had expected this sort of reaction from Vincent. He placed his hand behind his back and had a pompous look on his face.

Taking light steps until he arrived in front of her, Vincent seized Amber from head to toe.

“What’s a student of the assassin division doing here? I thought you all don’t meddle in the academy business except if it’s of importance to you.”

After Vincent uttered those words, his mouth opened slightly.

“Oh, I see, it is of importance to you.” He said. “Let me guess, someone asked you to get the job done, but you want to use my influence to seal the deal,” Vincent said.

“But, why would you need my influence to kill someone in the academy?” Vincent paused.

“Hahaha!! Raphael’s assassination isn’t under your jurisdiction, instead, someone else in the division was asked to kill him. Perhaps you have a grudge against him, but because of the assassin division rule, you’re not allowed to make a move on him.”

“You must have learned about my plans from Simon’s scouting, but my question now is, why do you even want to kill him so badly?” Vincent asked.

As there was no response apart from a sneer from Amber, Vincent spoke.

“The punishment for going after someone’s else target without order is family execution. There must be a reason why you’re willing to go after Raphael despite knowing what the punishment is.” Vincent said.

“Then, the division shouldn’t hear about it,” Amber said and stared at the people in the room

Amber took a step forward, “We both want him dead, I think that’s enough. If you keep asking silly questions, I’m going to leave.”

“And whether I get your assistance or not, I will see to it that Raphael is dead.”

Vincent smiled, “Alright then, I won’t ask about him anymore. It doesn’t really matter to me, as long as I’m the last person Raphael sees before he dies, then it’s all good.”

“Simon, inform the others that the plan has begun. I will fill this three on all that needed to know.” Vincent exclaimed.

Without delay, Simon dashed out of the room.

“Now, here’s how the plot will go.”
