Shortly after Crimson Heart signed her signature on the contract, a system prompt appeared for the two of them.

With that prompt, Xu Feng could now relax himself.

'Heh, I obtained another valuable member at the cost of nothing.' Xu Feng exclaimed inwardly, feeling proud of his effort.

Nothing was more satisfying than investing early in someone or something that you knew would succeed and had its value increased by a large margin.

"Alright, we should return to the hotel." Xu Feng commented, unaware that his sentence was misunderstood.

"Damn, I knew it." Crimson Heart exclaimed and was about to punch Xu Feng in the face.

"Knew what?" Confused, Xu Feng glanced at her only to be surprised that she was trying to punch him.

"The hell are you doing?"

Startled, he quickly sidestepped and explained softly, "The update is going to start soon, and if you aren't in the hotel room, who knows what will happen to you."

"Eh?" Dazed, Crimson Heart paused her punch mid-air and asked, "That's what you meant?"

"What else can there be?" As soon as Xu Feng finished saying that, he then recalled his words and realized her mind was in the gutter.

They were at a virtual reality game for heaven's sake, and the system had the feature to prevent sexual harassment.

"Seriously, I can't believe the first thing you did after becoming a real member was trying to punch your guild leader." Xu Feng rolled his eyes, clearly disappointed at Crimson Heart's mindset.

"Well, that's kind of your fault for wording it that way." Crimson Heart shrugged, unwilling to take the blame.

To ensure that Xu Feng couldn't reprimand her further, she promptly took her leave and rushed to the hotel without waiting for him.

Watching her shamelessly leave the scene after accusing him of being one of those vile scums who only knew to lust after the hot female subordinates, Xu Feng vowed to make her work twice as much as he originally planned.

'Me? Do I look like those ugly bastards?' Xu Feng inwardly cursed at that kind of ridiculous misunderstanding. With his current wealth and status, what kind of women could he not pursue?

He was no longer the poor orphan bumpkin who others could just command or threaten as they pleased.

This interface was available for purchase and depending on which living environment Xu Feng bought, the space could either be adequate, decently big, or very large.

Naturally, as an amazing and generous pet owner like Xu Feng. He purchased the biggest and most comfortable living space available within his budget: 30 gold coins.

It was most definitely not because the 30 gold coins Pet Space had were beneficial such as increased experience growth and many more.

As Flint chirped happily in its new Pet Space, Xu Feng waved goodbye, saying he had something to do.

Understanding its owner was busy, Flint hovered toward his face, giving it a few rubs before zooming off to the distance to play.

Smiling, Xu Feng exited the Pet Space and proceeded to log out.

His vision blurred for a moment, and by the time he regained his vision, the gaming capsule was within his sight.

Yawning, the fatigue was finally taking its toll on him. Having experienced the illusion test from Earthrender, his mental concentration was at its lowest.

"Phew, good thing I activated the Focus Orb, or I might go into a deep coma again." He murmured, exiting out of the gaming capsule. As he headed out to the living room, he found that Erica was watching television, dressed in a casual outfit.

Her gazes were focused on the television, having not been aware of his presence.

'What's she watching?' Curious, Xu Feng decided to take a glance at the television.

Within the television was a female news reporter named Cherry, talking excitedly about the current events of the Divine World.

"Today's daily news of the Divine World from me, Reporter Cherry, will now deliver you the latest information. It's been noted that the Divine World has been announced with a major update that will be taking place."

Given the explosive popularity and hype of the game, a dedicated news channel had been created.

Amused, Xu Feng walked to the regenerator and was about to grab a casual soft drink until he heard a voice from behind.

"Get me one as well."

"Huh, I thought you didn't notice me?" He mused, and asked, "Which soft drink do you want?"

"Any is fine. They're all the best anyway." Erica responded nonchalantly.

Sometime later, Xu Feng brought over a random soft drink to her and took a seat next to her on the comfy couch.

"Moving on with this major update, there's been speculation that players are going to move to the Tier 1 era soon. And speaking of the Tier 1 era, we're lucky to invite a special guest who many might have heard or known about due to his exclusive news. The one and only OneManMedia." Reporter Cherry announced cheerfully.

Meanwhile, Xu Feng suddenly coughed and spit out some of the liquid drink.

"O-OneManMedia?" Startled, Xu Feng quickly grabbed a few pieces of tissue paper to clean his mouth.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"Why are you acting so startled?" Confused, Erica glanced at him and her clothes, seemingly checking whether he had sprayed some drinks on her or not.

"OneManMedia has been appearing on this news channel occasionally, so it's not really considered a special guest." She explained, finding his behavior odd.

"Wait, he has been appearing lately?" Xu Feng twitched his mouth.
