Vol. 6 - Chapter 303 - Proposing a new system idea! (Event Timeline: 6:00 p.m. Friday)

I immediately bolted out of the room as soon as my time as provisional lecturer was up.

I just had this nagging feeling it wouldn’t bid well for me if I stay even a second longer there. I wonder if this is the work of ‹Intuition›.

I left the participants behind – who were getting noisy as it seemed like my lecture about the usefulness of ‹Job Transfer› had finally been conveyed to them – with Celestine.

It seemed like some old man called out to me but I ignored them since answering to one would mean answering everyone.

“Where are we heading, Zephyr-sama?”

“We’re going to the Dean’s office. I want to have some words with him.”

I told Celestine, who was walking beside me, the direction we’re heading to. I need to give a piece of advice to Dean. If not, I think the situation might once again turn explosive just like earlier.

I initially didn't have any plan to bring up the topic of ‹Job Transfer› today since all the participants are freshmen only who have come today to learn how to raise their jobs. In short, the topic of ‹Job Transfer› was simply far-fetched from them.

Well, today’s lecture was simply like tossing a bomb. Though the main reason that I changed my plan was all due to the crowd of people that weren’t students but coming in. But to allow that crowd to enter and hinder my class, you may have slightly overdone it this time, Dean…

I can’t deny that I was also kind of riding into the flow though, but still…… well what’s done is done.

Besides, It was just a perfect chance to bring up that topic. It was just a matter of ‘when’ I’m gonna do that and change their perception about the ‹Job Transfer›. That’s why what’s done is done. It’s not like time can be reversed either.

“There are some suggestions I want to give to Dean, including about today's class. Well the main subject is still about the ‹Job Transfer›.”

“Understood.”

Celestine gracefully bent his waist in a bow.

Not that it was my plan to spill it today.

Anyway, it’s because of that I want to meet Dean and spread some more information to those influential people through him.

We went straight from the class to the castle heart of the academy and were immediately able to pass without an appointment.

Sure enough, his ears are present everywhere.

"Excuse our intrusion, Dean."

"I know. Come in."

We were led to the dean's office without a delay and saw him sitting on the sofa before the desk, behind which he usually sat.

Urged by his eyes, we sat on the sofa across from him. It was the same sofa where I said last time, and the last time before that. Celestine meanwhile stood behind me in attention.

Maid instantly came to serve the tea as soon as I put my back on the sofa.

He stirred himself and spoke with an astringent voice once maid's were done with their work and left the office.

"I'm still waiting for a complete report but I have more or less heard about the situation. You sure have outside yourself by dropping yet another monumental information."

"Haha, this is just the beginning."

First is to throw the restraint.

I just indirectly implied 'How is he going to handle the latter situation if this is already monumental information for him?'.

"Hoho I see. Well my friends are saying that they want to listen to the explanation in more depth."

"Please allow me to refuse. I will only take elective classes, that's all. Teaching outside of scheduled time will take a toll on my personal study time which I don't want."

Just the question I had expected, I dodged the question.

I would very much want to avoid taking anymore classes for those prominent personas. The reason I'm taking this class is to make the strongest guild. After all, there's no way to scout anyone except students in ‹Dungeon Activity›. The least I would want to do is to teach those prominent personas.

"I see. Indeed you're still a student. Forget that I asked about it."

Dean backed down easily which slightly disappointed me.

No wait, I think I felt his slight consideration as if asking me to not get much worked up. Hmm, maybe I should probe him a bit.

"You're right. I guess the heat of the moment got the best of me, you know, after seeing so many prominent figures from society. I can't say for sure if I will not get in this mode again if such impressive people continue to join in later."

"So this is it. I would like you to take your classes more calmly."

So I was right huh. This time's information explosion has just the effect I wanted. I could feel him indirectly implying to pin down what I reveal in classes.

"Then I would like to reduce the number of participants' lectures count. Can it be set to 10 seats? I can't guarantee I will not make another careless slip if there are too many, causing me to get riled up."

"Hmm, 10 seats huh. At Least settle it at 20?"

"Let's go for middle ground, 15 seats. Instead, I would like to give priority to 2nd and 3rd years."

"Alright."

It was naturally because ‹Job Transfer› mainly concerned upper classes.

Guild ‹Eden› so far is only filled with classmates.

This world follows the rule of meritocracy, so one can't be cautious enough since there are some cases where a high level senior took over the command of Guild though the more common reason is it's much easier to create a strongest character by raising them from the ground up. If the situation permits, I also would want to raise it according to my need from level zero.

Upperclassmen should also be starting from level 0 when they go through ‹Job Transfer›. I'm confident that if they're coming to attend my classes about ‹Training Manual›, than they would definitely be attracted to ‹Strongest Training Manual›. And added bonus on top is that upperclassmen are already familiar with the setting.

This is yet another chance to strengthen ‹Eden› if we can pull them. Fuhahaha! Ahem except there's one problem. Actually a big problem. And that's graduation. If you have chosen upperclassmen in your child, then there would come the time to bid our farewell with them on the season of graduation from the academy.

Well, in the game, there was this setting where the graduated member would pass an item called ‹XXXX Clone Button› which would replicate the same job character with the same level and status when using it while making a character.

It was the setting for people who want to hang out like senpai and kouhai or who would like to later form another character. However there's no way such an absurd thing could happen in reality. (Senpai - senior & Kouhai - junior)

Taking 3rd year upperclassmen in the guild will mean saying farewell to them on the March next year for all. The character I had trained with so much effort will disappear. Absolutely unacceptable.

Due to the following reasons, I didn't invite them to the guild but I just had an idea and tried proposing it to Dean while we're at it.

"If Dean doesn't think it's a bad idea, what do you think about a new system centred around ‹Job Transfer›?"

"......... What did you say?"

That idea was to suggest a new system. Depending on how it's done, we may be able to retain the upperclassmen from graduation.

So I proposed my plan to the Dean with newfound vigour.
