Almond sighed. It seemed that he didn't get any good stuff after all.

But he already had the plan to sell these skills. They were practically priceless, so auctioning them would get him a lot of gold coins.

And he wasn't going to add a skill if it didn't contribute to his weapon art as much as his Legendary skill in the first place.

'I have two normal skill upgrade cards that only upgrade classless skills and one universal skill upgrade card that upgrades all skills, including my class skills,' Almond's eyes glinted. 'Should I use the universal one on one of my Legendary skills?'

Almond thought, but only for a moment before he took out the card and used it, intending to use it on his Espada Ad Grimveil.

However, instead of the skill getting upgraded, he got a notification.

[You still have three skill insights remaining from the Specialized Class quest. You must create three more class skills and establish the source of your specialized class first before you are able to affect it with external influence like skill upgrade cards.]

'Oh…that's true, I have to do this. The next skills I want to create are passive and trigger-type skills, but since I have less idea of how they are made, I have to research,' Almond wryly smiled.

'I don't have memories related to this yet, but Lily said that there's data about this in GAA. We'll have to approach Admiral Rudra once we leave for many things, including this.'

Lily had already created four class skills, but since her specialized class was SSS-rank, she got a total of 5 skill insights instead of 6 like Almond. She was only left with one now, which she planned to save until she figured out how to get a passive skill as a result, as she and Almond had discussed this.

'Now then, since I can't upgrade my Legendary class skill…' Almond was about to create the skill rune of Espada Ad Grimveil, but then he suddenly got an idea.

Almond focused and sent his consciousness into his skill room as he started copying the skill rune of Spirit Forge Factory.

This was the only skill that screamed "variety" here, and he used it on the third slot for that sole word that is associated with Spirit Forge Factory.

Almond was done after a couple of minutes and slotted the skill rune.

The Synthesis Forge glowed, and all three slots glowed as they physically moved and conjoined into one before melting inside the metallic chamber.

A few seconds later, a single slot appeared with a mysterious dark silver token carved with eccentric sharp golden patterns, a sword in the middle, and dreamy lapis blue waves oozing out from it.

It pulsed and glowed faintly as it floated up from the slot.

Almond grabbed the token and inspected it.

'Let's go!' Almond grinned, thrilled at the name of this art. It sounded powerful!

And the good thing about this token was that it wasn't limited or anything. It was forever his, and he could use it any number of times and eventually learn the weapon art!

"Babe, I'm done. It's your turn now," Almond said as he saw the Synthesis Forge returning to normal with three empty slots.

Lily opened her eyes, her eyes twinkling. "I am ready."

Meanwhile, big changes and announcements were occurring outside.

People inside the Labyrinth didn't know about that, but Phase 1 for their world had begun!

As everyone got these notifications, a mystical screen appeared in front of everyone with a title [ Phase 1] when the last notification rang and appeared in their heads.

—> Your world may receive damage and life loss if your performance is not good enough. You will be competing against another world, one or more, depending on the mode you get from Phase 1.

The entire globe was abuzz with this information, with people showing various reactions.

The old monsters and other adventurers emerged from the Labyrinth gradually and also got the same notifications and this panel in their minds as they read everything.

"Crap…"

All of them were dumbfounded, but there was unmistakenly a hint of excitement within them along with other emotions, especially the old monsters who desired to carve their path to power in their styles.

"Rudra, it seems that the world is going to be more hectic than ever," James wryly smiled, hiding a glint of thrill within his eyes, "It seems that I have to up my game in the magitech energy weapons and also start creating defensive items. Mister Aarav Patel, we need to collaborate because I'd love to research your Lotus Pendant Artifact. Please don't reject me anymore."

"I accept, but no homo," Aarav chuckled. "And first, you must send me the research data of your weapons. After that, we'll set up a joint research center and share all the results we get."

"Well, since you are willing to come out of your secret base, we'll do that."

"If our world can interact with other worlds after this phase 1 begins, does that mean that people can travel from one world to another?" Paloma blinked.

"But we are enemies as it will be a competition, the survival of the fittest," Arjun narrowed his eyes as fiery lights glinted in them. "We have to be careful."

Caressing his gray beard, Rafael nodded, "Indeed. The rats are definitely affiliated with some otherworldy power with the way they vanished."

"Each one of them had a strange mark and right before they vanished, I saw all of them materializing the same cloak," Shiro-sen's eyes glinted. "They belong to an organization, not from our world."

"Well, that confirms Rudra's suspicions," Silvester nodded.

[Phase 1 Selection is starting…]

In front of everyone, a screen appeared with a single slot that displayed various symbols indicating the different modes.

They shifted rapidly and gradually slowed down before stopping.

[Your world will welcome the mode—Battlefield of the Mightiest, shared with three other worlds, one of which has a Grimworld Tutorial ongoing and has just cleared the 10th floor like your world, and the other two worlds being non-human worlds inhabited by Draconians and Elves, respectively, who will welcome their unique Grimworld Tutorial different from yours, beginning with this battlefield.]

[The hub of this Battlefield is an extradimensional world where each participant world is given its base territories and can interact with one another with non-violence law established. This hub can be accessed from a new function that will appear in your status window.]

[The Battlefield of the Mightiest will open on 1st January WB 11, exactly after the Labyrinth closes and the new month begins.]
