Otherworldly Desert Dust

Chapter 64 - 61: Knife in Hand

As they stepped into Old Commerce Street, an imposing stone gate quickly emerged before them.

Just as Wu Hen passed through the stone gate, there was a loud crash from behind!

"Boom!!!"

The stone gate exploded directly, and a very domineering Yin Dragon had slammed into it, destroying the buildings on the street.

Because of this collision, the blood-red Yin Dragon suddenly slowed down; the Yin Craftsmen holding the lamp posts were obviously gasping for breath, struggling to maintain the power of the entire Dancing Lamp Yin Dragon’s flight.

The Dragon Head Craftsman glanced at his underworld brothers behind him, then unwillingly looked at the high-level ingredient that had escaped to Old Commerce Street.

"Boss, should we take a break? That kid is as slippery as an eel," said a Yin Craftsman at the dragon’s neck.

"Yeah, let’s wait until everyone is full, then we’ll show that kid who’s boss," said the lamp craftsman at the claw position. Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"Alright, everyone scatter and hunt for food!" The Dragon Head Craftsman nodded and gave the order.

The long dragon instantly split into dozens of segments, each held by a strong underworld lamp craftsman. Utilizing the Dragon Lantern, they could quickly illuminate where living people were hiding. Even small fry could be enough to fill their bellies if there were enough of them!

The flesh of the living would be refined into lamp oil and burned within the Dragon Lantern.

The blood of the living was like sweet wine for these lamp craftsmen.

Don’t underestimate those lamp craftsmen and their Dragon Lamps; the Dragon Head was at the Thunder Ming Level, and the other lamp craftsmen were formidable warriors among the Hundred Demons!

The lanterns emitted a blood-red light.

The eerie glow reflected on the crisscrossed streets and shops of the old commercial district.

At an imposing pawnshop entrance, the Dragon Head Craftsman first spotted a bald man. Before the bald man could cry for help, the Dragon Head Craftsman had already swallowed him whole!

Flesh and blood quickly separated within the Dragon Head Lantern; the flesh became burning lamp oil, and the blood turned into sweet wine for the lamp craftsman.

Licking his lips, the Dragon Head Craftsman contentedly walked deeper into Old Commerce Street...

...

"Brother, it looks like the Dragon Lantern is a Yuan You," Yu Yu said, excitement flashing in her eyes.

"If we take down this Yin Dragon, it would be like getting dozens of Yuan Yous at once, especially that Dragon Head Craftsman—one big Yuan You!" Wu Hen was equally tempted.

Yuan You was the hardest currency in all of Desert Dust, useful for enhancing strength, buying large weapons, or seeking the protection of powerful beings—who wouldn’t want more of such things?

"It looks like the Dragon Head Craftsman is heading towards Red Face," Yu Yu pointed out.

"Let’s follow closely. Wait until they kill each other, and then we’ll strike!" Wu Hen had it all planned out.

The plan was unfolding smoothly; most of the Bald Party members were now concentrated on Old Commerce Street, still trying to annihilate Cai Jinlin and Qin Sheng.

In fact, Captain Qin and Captain Cai had long withdrawn from Old Commerce Street, and those wandering the street were naturally the Yin Craftsmen hunting for food!

The Vulture Party members didn’t realize this; when they saw figures moving stealthily on the street walls, they instinctively thought it was the Spirit Awakeners team opposing them and attacked without hesitation!

The lamp craftsmen laughed.

After surviving in Yinzhou for so many years, it was the first time they saw prey delivering themselves to them, so they happily devoured the meat and drank the blood!

Screams rose and fell.

The entire Old Commerce Street was filled with the atmosphere of slaughter, but the Vulture Party members were still gloating, believing the screams must be from the defiant Spirit Awakeners, never thinking it was their own comrades crying for help!

...

At the entrance of a grand pawnshop, a man with a completely red face, even his bald head painted blood red, stood there. One of his arms had already been bitten off, yet he stood strong, refusing to fall, his face twisted like a red-faced demon!

In front of the red-faced bald man, there was also a Yin Craftsman holding a solitary Dragon Head Lantern. The Yin Craftsman had a sinister smile, blood at the corners of his mouth, and despite some knife wounds on his body, he looked unconcerned!

"Your meat is a bit tough!" the Dragon Head Yin Craftsman taunted.

"You ghost, die!" The red-faced bald man swung the goldsaber in his hand, the blade erupting with sharp brilliance, making it inexplicably huge, up to ten meters long!

The Dragon Head Yin Craftsman was also very agile. He used the dragon head as his magic artifact, twisting and flipping. The dragon head turned into roaring Yin Fire, clashing with the golden ten-meter blade light.

The Yin Fire exploded, engulfing an area of tens of meters.

The blade light shattered into thousands of gold blade fragments shooting in all directions.

The Dragon Head Craftsman was pierced all over, and the Dragon Head Lantern was damaged.

The red-faced bald man fared no better, injured by the Yin Fire and writhing in pain on the ground.

"The time is now!"

A figure in black jade appeared, flashing before the red-faced bald man.

Before the red-faced bald man could react, a cold spike directly pierced his chest, cleanly finishing the kill!

The red-faced bald man’s eyes widened, dying with unresolved anger; he couldn’t understand how he, once a rampant figure in Yinzhou, died just like that.

Yet, when the red-faced bald man saw a girl with soot-covered face, his body convulsed even more before death.

Wasn’t this the Awakener girl who pretended to be a ghost to insult his intelligence in public??

"In your next life, be born a pig—that doesn’t need brains!" Yu Yu made a series of gestures in front of the red-faced bald man, ensuring he could understand her advice before he died.

"Yu Yu, step back; that guy’s still quite healthy," Wu Hen said.

Yu Yu nodded, venting her anger and then swiftly hiding around the corner.

The Dragon Head Craftsman was adjusting his breath and hadn’t expected his hard-earned prey to be intercepted.

Moreover, the interceptor was the high-level ingredient their entire team had spent considerable effort pursuing but couldn’t catch!

"It’s you, kid. You’ve got some wits but let’s see if you’ve got real skills..." the Dragon Head Yin Craftsman said.

"You’re just relying on numbers; don’t think I’m really afraid of you," Wu Hen retorted disdainfully.

Little Yi was a glutton. Though he didn’t eat human flesh, he clearly knew what valuable things a Spirit Awakener possessed.

Like a Soul-hooking Witch Dragon, he opened his mouth and sucked out the red-faced bald man’s soul breath, then eyed the fallen Big Goose Saber beside him.

Weapons were also Little Yi’s favorite. He opened his mouth wide and swallowed the specially crafted weapon whole!

"How about this: I won’t call my brothers over; I’ll just play with you?" the Dragon Head Yin Craftsman proposed.

"Go ahead, call your gang. I’ll take you all on!" Wu Hen was done talking and attacked directly!

Stepping forward, Wu Hen raised both hands.

One would have thought that Little Yi would transform into the most ferocious Nine-toothed Nail Rake, but instead, a Golden Radiant Great Saber appeared in Wu Hen’s hands. The saber was covered with a layer of scorching light flame, and as he swung it, it emanated torrential heat, like a Golden Flame Demon Blade!

It wasn’t a nail rake, but a demon blade, giving off a completely different aura. Wu Hen quickly transitioned from a humble pig demon to a domineering saber wielder. His slash through the air created a dramatic saber mark!!

The saber mark was powerful, collapsing every ghost building within tens of meters. They were even turned to ashes by the rolling Demon Flame radiating from it.

The Dragon Head Yin Craftsman quickly used the Dragon Head Lantern as a shield, but the lingering wounds from their previous battle were not healed. The saber mark entered the lantern’s interior, burning through and destroying the dragon head’s face!

The confident Dragon Head Yin Craftsman was forced back, almost losing his grip on the lamp post. He staggered, staring at Wu Hen with a fierce, angry gaze!

This kid had hidden his strength!!

If he had known that his opponent was this strong, he would have eaten him at the start of the temple fair escape!

The Dragon Head Yin Craftsman took a deep breath, exhaling the stench of the dead. He began to chant an extraordinarily eerie incantation, boosting his morale and enhancing the Yin Sha of his Dragon Head Lantern...

The Dragon Head Yin Craftsman’s body and the lantern turned into a mass of Yin Sha evil fire, quickly charging at Wu Hen, a hideously large dragon face emerging from the fire, mouth wide open to devour Wu Hen!

Wu Hen neither dodged nor flinched.

He couldn’t fight a complete Yin Dragon head-on, but was not afraid of a lone dragon head!

The golden saber from Red Face was undoubtedly a rare Elemental Weapon. Wu Hen felt his whole body filled with Molten Furnace Power; a casual swipe could unleash the inner fury...

From entering this locust evil realm to escaping in Yinzhou, the terrifying underworld’s aura had suppressed Wu Hen’s heart for too long. Previously, he had to worry that a Cangxia Level Yin Dragon would target him; now, with the Yin Dragon Head right in front of him, he could finally go all out!

With a saber in hand, he would kill to his heart’s content!!

Wu Hen gripped the saber with both hands, slashing directly at the blood-red Dragon Head Lantern!

As the saber swung back, it left a brilliant streak of light, making the whole golden saber look like a majestic Divine Weapon, towering over all the surrounding buildings!

In Yinzhou City, a golden giant saber’s gleaming radiance appeared out of nowhere, then slashed down along the long, wide Guild Street!!

The continuous commercial buildings were instantly obliterated, millions of ghost bricks turned to finer dust, every hundred meters evaporated by the powerful golden radiance, leaving nothing behind!

On Big Pawnshop Entrance Street, a drum-sized Dragon Head Lantern cracked from the forehead, splitting slowly into two halves.

Under the Dragon Head Lantern, the burly lamp craftsman was also split from the head, divided in two, and a massive amount of blood gushed from the craftsman’s body!

No one knew how many living people’s blood he had drunk; his body’s blood flowed like a river, rapidly covering the main shopping street...
