After daydreaming for a long while without figuring out what this mysterious new Talent was good for, Dorothy shifted her gaze toward the final part of the notes.

Since the Talent description hinted that retracing the Demon King's Path would strengthen the Talent effect, she decided to check out what this so-called Demon King's Path was all about.

If she understood correctly, it essentially meant she was supposed to replicate the growth history of the Demon King.

As one of the unavoidable Three Kings in Witch history, the deeds of the Demon King were mandatory points in history class, and Dorothy knew these by heart.

But the stories that made it into history were ultimately just the most glorious and talked-about events, like the Demon King being at his Peak at 20, becoming a Sage at 30, and ascending as the Witch King at 50. However, these miraculous feats were something Dorothy couldn't just replicate.

The reason she had caught the attention of the Demon King this time was probably because she had replicated the legendary feat of the Demon King taking the Nine Gates examination in one go.

Although this was also a feat that seemed insurmountable to ordinary Witches, when placed in the vast and dramatic life resume of the Demon King, it was actually quite insignificant.

This just goes to show how ridiculously challenging this so-called retracing the Demon King's Path is.

However, Dorothy gave her nimble little brain a slight nudge, and Inspiration struck her instantly.

"Hmm, if the official history of the Demon King is hard to replicate, what about the unofficial histories, or even the dark history? The Homebody Witch's eyes lit up, and then she whipped out her Spellbook, starting to search on the Magic Network for any gossip or dark history about the Demon King.

All Dorothy wanted was to see if there were any dark histories like the Demon King beating up the neighborhood bully when he was a kid that she could learn from, but as the search results popped up, seeing all these screens filled with various scandalous love affairs, she was utterly baffled.

No sooner thought than done; Dorothy immediately cast the Witch's Akari Technique on herself and prepared to leave.

However, as soon as she cast the spell, she furrowed her brows, sensing something off about her body.

"Something's wrong, this magic power recovery speed is a bit too fast, my little squirt gun is almost turning into a fire hose."

Dorothy watched as her magic power, which had recovered only slightly, was now visibly surging at an alarming rate, and she was momentarily confused.

Just as she sensed, if her mana pool were considered a swimming pool, previously her natural magic recovery rate was like a little squirt gun squirting water into the pool.

Well, that's how embarrassing a mediocre witch is.

But now, since she had initiated Dragon's Breath, with the talent of the Great Dragon that could grow stronger with each breath, her little squirt gun could indeed upgrade to a big hose.

If she further combined it with nourishment from high-level ingredients, it would be like having a big hose running while someone also poured water into the pool with a bucket.

Dorothy had been eager to participate in the assessment to get that magic speed buff sooner, so she could finally compensate for her last weakness.

However, what Dorothy had initially wanted was just the sort of bandwidth a Normal Sorceress would enjoy, but now it clearly was Lord Demon King partitioning a direct stream from the exclusive channel of the Witch King for her.

And the Heavenly Mandate buff from the Witch King, that might not just be a sea pouring into a pool, even the tiniest branch of that sea, as minute as a strand of hair, was already enough to thrill Dorothy multiple times over as a little witch.

Damn, is this the blessing of a big shot? Loved it, loved it, rest assured big shot, I am set on becoming the Second-Generation Demon King, no one can stop me from following the great steps of Lord Demon King. It's just the Demon King's Path, bring it on, I'm not afraid.
