Chapter 22: Qiu Heng
Chapter 22: Qiu Heng
The core of the Dragon, the center of the Sect and home to all Core and Direct disciples.
This place is what every disciple in the Sect calls the Sects Pillar.
Why? Because every disciple in here will become the future pillar, who keeps this Sect standing.
Tian Yi looked around, but could not see even a single disciple outside.
It was normal for this place to be empty.
Every single disciple that lives here is a genius.
As a hardcore Cultivator, time is gold and every single second Cultivating is a mile worth of advantageous they have over each other.
Just because they were Core disciples did not mean they will have all the resources they need.
Unlike Direct disciples who had everything they needed to Cultivate without worry, they had to fight for the rankings.
The higher the ranking, the more resources you will get and ultimately, the more advantaged you will be for the next ranking.
Rankings will reset every year, making it so that everyone will have a chance to rank higher.
To reach a higher rank, you can either do Sect missions for points or fight each other for points.
When you fight someone, you will gain 100 points for victory and lose 75 for defeat.
If they are a higher rank than you, the 100 points will multiply by the differences in your ranks.
Such as if you are ranked 10, and you won against a rank 7, your 100 points will multiply by 3 and make it 300.
But, if you fight a lower rank, that also happens, such as rank 7 fighting a rank 10. You will instead lose 10 points ever rank, so this win will only gain 70 points.
After more than a ten rank difference, you will get no points for winning.
However, only the challenger can lose points.
The challenged will not lose any points if he is defeated and will gain points if he wins.
This was so that these in the higher ranks can not bully the lower ones.
The second way is for these who does not like to fight but still wants to earn some points or these who are injured and could not fight for a while.
Sect Missions is when someone sends a request to the Sect asking for help and rewards them for completing it.
Not only will you get rewards, but you will also get ranking points.
Although you wont get as much as fighting, it is still a pretty good way to earn points, unless you do the extremely hard ones.
Although the Sect wants them to fight for resources, they cant make it too competitive.
Why? They are all Core disciples at the end of the day and are all geniuses. So why try to prevent them from growing? This method was only so they can feel a bit of pressure and still fight for better resources.
* * * *
Tian Yi walked around looking at the scenery and stops when he hears a low banging sound.
He looked to the direction of the sound to see a handsome young man, with his upper body half naked, punching a metal wall.
*Bang* *Bang* *Bang*
Every time he punched the metal wall; it will sink in a few inches.
Hoooo He stopped to take a deep breath.
The dented metal wall started to regenerate, and in seconds, it returned to looking like new.
*Bang* *Bang* *Bang*
He resumed punching the metal wall.
After repeating this for another five times, he finally stops and noticed Tian Yi watching him.
He had a surprised face when he saw him without his uniform.
He did not remember someone like him being one of the Core or Direct disciples.
Could he be a guest?
But how can a guest possibly enter the Core of the Dragon?
Even someone with an extremely big background was not allowed back here.
He became curious at this young mans identity.
Hello, how may I help you? He asked in a friendly tone.
Nothing, I was only exploring this place until I saw you practicing and became interested.
Is that so? I am called Qiu Heng, how should I address you? He asked.
I am Tian Yi. He smiled.
So its Junior Brother Yi.
May I ask what you are doing in the Profound Dragon Spirit Sect? If you dont want to tell me, you can just refuse.
Its nothing important. I am only here to sell some Pills.
Qiu Heng was even more surprised now.
Hes only here to sell things, yet he was allowed in the Core of the Dragon?
He is even more curious now.
It looks like you were just training your body strength. Does it really help by punching a wall? Tian Yi asked.
He has never done any type of body strengthening, so he did not know what it was like to train the body.
You have never tempered your body? Qiu Heng was surprised again.
Although Cultivators can Cultivate just by sitting down and gathering Spirit Power, that only strengthens their Cultivation and not their body.
Just because you had a strong Cultivation did not mean your body was strong.
If you were fighting and someone slashed your flesh with a sword, how will your weak body protect against that?
You cant, which is why Cultivators not only Cultivates but also does Body Tempering.
If you strengthen your body to the point of it being like steel, will that sword even scratch your skin?
Some Cultivators in the higher Realms even had bodies so strong; not even Immortal Treasures can harm a hair on their body.
People say the scariest kind of Cultivator is not an Invincible Cultivator, but a Strong Cultivator with an Invincible body.
No, I have not. He didnt lie.
He has only been alive for 18 Years and only had time for Cultivation and knowledge, where will he get the time for Body Tempering? And its not like he needs it either.
Now that he looked at Tian Yi again, he couldnt feel any Cultivation in him.
Are you a Mortal? He asked.
No.
? Qiu Heng was confused.
Then how come I cant feel any Cultivation coming from you?
I dont know. He lied.
Weird Qiu Heng thought.
Say, do you think I can also try it out?
That Body Tempering thing you were just doing.
He wanted to experience what it was like to train his body.
Hm? Sure, but remember not to use your Cultivation when punching, or else itll lose the meaning to Body Tempering.
If you used your Cultivation, would it even be called Body Tempering?
Okay. He nodded as he walked towards the steel wall.
* * * *
Okay, now all you have to do is focus the strength in your whole body into your punching hand.
And when you feel your hand is getting stronger, just punch out as hard as you can.
Qiu Heng instructed him like a teacher.
Ah, this steel wall can regenerate, right? I dont want to break it. Tian Yi asked.
Qiu Heng made an amusing face when he heard that.
Hahaha, dont worry, dont worry. No matter how hard you hit it, it wont break.
Hell, even if you do, nobody will blame you! He laughed.
This steel wall will generate no matter how much its beaten.
Even if you burn it or bite it, it will still regenerate until it is like new again.
You promise? Tian Yi had to make sure.
Of course! Qiu Heng laughed.
Ah, it might hurt at first, so try not to punch too He tried to warn him before he hurts himself.
But his words were caught in his throat and was stuck there.
*BANG*
The sound of a metal wall being hit was so loud, it resounded throughout the entire Profound Dragon Spirit Sect and even scared some disciples awake from their Cultivation.
Fuck! Who the fuck is walking around banging two woks together?!
Aiya, I almost pissed my pants!
Fuck you! How will you take care of the responsibilities if someone fails to breakthrough because of that?!
Everybody was cursing at the one who did that.
The once quiet Sect instantly turned noisy.
Meanwhile, Qiu Heng was standing there like a dumb chicken.
He looked at the place where the steel wall used to be.
There was nothing!
The only thing he can see are these black dots flying in the air!
It had turned into dust! He punched the steel wall into dust!
How the fuck was that even possible?
He has never heard of a regenerating steel wall being punched to dust!
How the fuck is it going to regenerate now?!
You lied to me! What it will regenerate no matter what. I only turned it into dust, yet why is it not regenerating? Tian Yi felt wronged.
He even held back, so that it would not be destroyed to the point of even the dust not remaining.
Bullshit! What lies?! If you turn it into dust, obviously it will not regenerate!
No wait, how is that even possible?! How did you do it?!
Qiu Heng did not dare to believe that this young man here could have such strength, that he could even punch the steel wall to dust!
Hmph, not telling.
Also, you said that no one would blame me if I broke it.
So what you saw here did not happen! Tian Yi said with a calm voice.
Bullshit! What it did not happen! If I forget someone punching the steel wall to dust, Ill surely be brain dead at that time!
And how am I going to explain what happened to the steel wall?!
Am I going to tell my Elders, Oh yeah, someone punched it to dust, so its not here anymore?!?!?
Fuck you! You take responsibility for this! Qiu Heng was angry.
How the hell is he going to explain this?! The unbreakable steel wall suddenly disappeared, and he was the last one to use it! At least thats what the Elders are aware of!
Ah! Youre breaking your promise! Thats not good; itll make your soul turn black! You must keep your promise and not blame me!
Aiya, look at the time, I have to hurry back! See you later! Tian Yi acted like he was late to a gathering.
Qiu Heng almost coughed up blood when he heard that he was trying to run away.
Wait!!! He screamed.
But it was too late! That young man had disappeared like he was never here in the first place!
Fuck you! What see you later!
I hope I will never see you again!!! He was so angry he started screaming at the air.
* * * *
At the Outer Court, under a tree, an unnatural breeze came.
*whoosh*
A figure appears out of thin air.
Tian Yi had cold sweats on his forehead.
That brat! Ill beat him up the next time I see him for lying to me!
As the son of the Celestial Emperor and also a mothers well-behaving son, how can he go around breaking peoples stuff without any reason?
Even that one time when he broke the Xiao Familys carriage, he felt bad and almost gave them a better one as a replacement. But they rejected it and wanted to walk instead.
He even made Qiu Heng promise not to blame him if it broke!
Now not only did it break, but the other party also broke his promise and blamed him.
While he was cursing at Qiu Heng for breaking his promise, Lao Bai had just finished talking to the Sect Master with Elder Zhou.
The Sect Master didnt dare to believe his ears when he heard the news from Elder Zhou.
There was a young man who can make Perfect grade Profound True Qi Cultivation Pills just by flipping his hand?
Bullshit! Was what he had thought.
But after seeing the Perfect Grade Pill, he started to believe it.
Thats when Lao Bai said a few magic words to him, and he was instantly shocked.
I have followed Young Master Yi all my life. He was born with a godly Innate talent for Pill making and started making Pill at age 3! Is what he said.
What! The Sect Master instantly asked him to bring him to this Young Master of his.
The three of them hurriedly walked from the Sect Masters house all the way to the Outer Court.
While they were walking, every disciple that saw them had a fright and immediately greeted them.
The Sect Master rarely came outside of his house, but when he did, it was only for something important.
But what could possibly be so important in the Outer Court that the Sect Master had to come personally?
Every disciple was curious but didnt dare to follow.
The Sect Master and Elder Zhou followed Lao Bai to his Young Master.
When they got there, they saw him under a tree with a frown on his face.
Elder Zhou almost had a scare. Did he make him wait too long? Didnt he want to walk around? Or did some disciple offend him?
Young Master Yi, we are done. Didnt you want to walk around? Did something happen? Elder Zhou asked with a worried face.
Tian Yi had a fright and said, Eh? Ah, I already did.
So quick?" Elder Zhou thought.
Aiya, you must be Junior Brother Yi, I am sorry I made you wait so long. The Sect Master stepped foward to apologize.
If disciples were here to see this, they would've definitely been shocked.
The Sect Master addressed someone as a Junior Brother! He even apologized!
Ah, dont worry, it wasnt that long. Tian Yi smiled.
"Then without any more delay, I will lead you to my housing." The Sect Master began leading them.
