CHAPTER 55 - System's Second User Interface.
The Infinite Dream system had two user interfaces. One was the basic one—the one that showed Alex's status window.
As for the other...
[ {Infinite Dream System} (2/2)

– Members. (0/100)
→ Pseudo-Retainers: Just like the retainers, the ones under this title have access to the dream world and are provided with several other benefits. (For more benefits, you need to be stronger.)

This is what it looks like right now.
It was a window for his subordinates. The holder of the infinite dream needs to have strong subordinates or better not have any subordinates.
So, the system is there to help the user with getting his subordinates strong. Its first step is the removal of the limiters on their bodies. Once someone becomes his subordinate, they won't have any limits, as his limit is infinite; a bit lower than infinite is infinite, and half of infinite is also infinite.
The next thing that every category of subordinates can do is have access to the dream world. They can always come to the dream world when they sleep, just like Alex does. They can also raid the dungeons and fight the beasts and monsters within, collecting system points for Alex.
Yes, they can farm points, a benefit for Alex. The more subordinates he had, the more points he could get, but it also meant that he would have to spend more.
After all, no one likes to do free labor. They might start hating Alex if he did that, resulting in Alex losing their favorability, and once he loses a bit too much of their favorability, they would be kicked by the system, and their slot would be destroyed, never to return.
These limited slots were why Alex hadn't just called in everyone he found, letting them into his dream world. After one is allotted a slot, they either get an upgrade, which means moving to a higher slot, or get kicked out along with the slot—there are no other options.
So every slot was priceless, as losing one slot meant losing a potential subordinate with infinite potential.
That was why Alex only had five subordinates under the system and not hundreds, and the ones he had other than James were all beasts, as they were easy to satisfy and didn't betray as humans did.
It was not like he could just keep adding subordinates, as every time he added one, the system went on a cooldown period of a week.
Why? Because every time Alex gives someone a title, the system brands their soul with a seal. A seal that makes it impossible for them to reveal any information about the system and the dream world to anyone or anyone until the owner of the system personally asks them to.
It was a defense mechanism of the system, and it would automatically imprint the seal on the souls of subordinates whether the user, Alex, wanted it or not.
This was the only thing in the system that neither Alex, as the owner of the system, nor Sophie, as the system herself, could control. It was like a reflex action—something no one can control.
Right now, however, both of them were rushing toward Nyxia's location, and she seemed to be waiting for them as well.
The dream world, which was just a kilometer or two in size before, was now as big as a large city. The real thing, the dungeons, on the other hand, were scattered all around this city.
There was nothing else but greenery and dungeons in this world, but it was for the better because, with how it was, Alex and his subordinates could train all they wanted without being worried about someone else getting hurt.
Among his subordinates, the four beasts he had—a lion, a horse, a panther, and an owl—were always competing with each other, making bets, trying to see who was the strongest.
They would aim for dungeons harder than they did the previous day, testing their limits, not fearing death as they could just revive in here.
Yes, they don't die often, as Alex had forbidden them from trying the same dungeon they died in again for at least a week.
Today was the day they were going to try a dungeon that had killed all of them last week, and the first one to clear it was Nyxia—one of the reasons for her elation.
"What are you going to gift her this time?" Sophie, on the way to Nyxia, questioned Alex curiously; the sexual tension from a while ago could still be seen on her face, but she was calmer now.
Alex, for two times, as a way to motivate them to go on with these friendly challenges, had started to gift the one who won—which was Nyxia most of the time. The last two times, it was Nyxia who had won, receiving the gifts that she desired.
"We'll see. I'm thinking of letting her decide it on her own like the last two times." Alex, however, just shrugged in reply.
He had asked her what she wanted or what type of reward she wanted. Then listening to her demands, he made a list of things he could afford, and she would have to pick her gift from them. That was how it went the last two times. Enjoy new tales from empire
"Hm." Sophie, listening to his words, nodded. Increasing her speed with a smirk on her face. This made Alex raise his brow in amusement before he, accepting her silent challenge, did the same.
"You do know that we both have the same set of skills and stats, right?" He questioned as he tried to catch up to her, but those words just made Sophie turn to him with a smug expression.
"I know, and that is why I am going to win." With that, she turned away, focusing on the path. Right now, when she couldn't have sex with Alex, Sophie was just trying to come up with things that could help her divert her mind from the danger called Kaira.
Alex, however, didn't know that, so for a second, he was left speechless, wanting to ask, 'When did this match even start? And when did I say I was taking part in it?'
But he didn't; instead, he chuckled.
Chuckle!
"Let me show you the difference between just having the skills and using the skills, my love." As soon as those words reached Sophie's ears, Alex had already made a move.
