Chapter 545 - 545
"I don't remember you at the funeral." Cedric said as he tried to remember all the relatives Adrianna had introduced to him.
"I wasn't there. I was at a retreat in Rome for a month." Sister Emilia said with a frown. "By the time I got back Jam had been laid to rest and Amanda had to recount to me the painful details of his death."
"How did you not realize?" Cedric asked Benedict. "Don't lie, I know you've investigated my wife and her whole family."
"I just didn't connect the dots." Benedict said with a shrug. "They are second cousins. I didn't check that far."
"If Benedict had, Aiden would have probably tried to make me break my vows." Sister Emilia said, shaking her head.
"So you knew all along. Why didn't you tell Adrianna?" Cedric asked the nun.
"Aiden listens in to all of our conversations at the convent. He has the whole place bugged." Sister Emilia said with a shrug. "I took the opportunity to tell Adrianna when I went to the capital a few days ago."
"That's how Ray confirmed Aiden's location." Adrianna said with a laugh.
"Why didn't you just tell me?" Cedric asked his wife, disappointed at her choice to hide what she knew.
"And bruise your already fragile ego?" Adrianna teased her husband.
"Hey Adri." Camilla greeted, as she entered Cedric's house.
"Why do you always greet my wife before me?" Cedric complained as his former assistant waved at his wife.
"Because, we all know that Cedric Reyes will do anything for his wife, and if I ever get into trouble, it's good to know that I am on Mrs. Reyes' good side." Camilla said with a shrug as she walked over and hugged her older brother.
Cedric rolled his eyes at Camilla before marching into his office, leaving the door open for everyone else to follow.
"What did you want me here for?" Camilla asked Benedict as she laughed at Cedric's childish attitude.
"Shouldn't you go over and coax him?" Sister Emilia asked Adrianna.
"No need." Adrianna said with a laugh, but we should join him before Benedict explains things to Camilla." Adrianna told the nun as she gestured for them to follow into the office.
When they were all finally inside, Ian closed the door behind him and sat on one of the couches in Cedric's office.
"Camilla, the reason why I asked you to meet us here is so that I could introduce you to someone." Benedict said with a smile.
Camilla raised an eyebrow at her brother and crossed her arms, leaning back in her seat.
"Camilla, this is Mother Superior Emilia, she is the Mother Superior of Saint Paul's Convent." Benedict began to explain.
"The convent where Aiden is hiding?" Camilla asked as she eyed the nun with suspicion.
"Now, now Camilla, she is on our side." Benedict said, quickly rectifying the situation.
"Oh." Camilla said as she blushed in embarrassment.
"Emilia, this is my younger sister, Camilla." Benedict said, introducing Camilla to the nun.
"I'm sorry for doubting you." Camilla said, quickly apologizing.
"It's alright." Sister Emilia said as she smiled at Camilla. "I have a history with Aiden, so even Benedict thought I would protect him at first."
"Oh, well that's all in the past I guess." Camilla said as she tried to collect herself from embarrassment.
"By some interesting twist of faith, Sister Emilia is more involved with Aiden than we initially anticipated." Cedric said in a sour tone as he glared at his wife.
"Oh, how so?" Camilla asked as she slowly relaxed.
"Sister Emilia is my cousin on the Lobo side." Adrianna informed Camilla with a smile.
Camilla suddenly burst out laughing.
"Did Ian forget to tell Cedric?" Camilla asked.
"Yes." Cedric hissed. "He seemingly forgot on purpose." Cedric said, rolling his eyes.
"You're the one that keeps saying Adrianna is always right, even when she's wrong." Ian grumbled on the side, making everyone laugh.
"Benedict and Aiden talked about you a lot growing up." Sister Emilia said with a smile as she observed Camilla.
"How could you talk a lot about me? We were separated when I was four." Camilla said, rolling her eyes at her brother.
"When you think someone is gone, you remember even the smallest details, no matter how long ago it was." Benedict said with a shrug.
Camilla simply laughed at her brother and shook her head.
"What now?" Cedric asked. "If it was your intention to help us from the very beginning, what do we do now?"
"Well, we do as you want." Sister Emilia said. "My nuns know that Aiden is dangerous. They know that when I return, we will either be rid of him or we will have to plan on our own. I don't like having him around."
"You're in luck Sister Emilia, my men and I do have a plan. But we will need your help." Cedric said with a grin.
"I'm assuming you will need to know what precautionary measures he has laid out around the convent?" Sister Emilia asked Cedric with a grin.
"Are you really a nun?" Benedict asked, laughing at Sister Emilia.
"I am, but I knew Cedric would need this." Sister Emilia said as she extracted a flash drive from her pocket. "My nuns and I monitored his actions and his men's actions. All you need to know now is how much back up he has."
"This is perfect." Cedric said as he walked over and took the flash drive from the nun.
He quickly plugged it into his laptop and scrolled through the files. He was shocked at the amount of detail placed into recording every single detail about Aiden.
The nuns had even logged where he was at each time of the day. It seemed that Aiden was a man of habit, not changing what he did from one day to the next.
"I have to hand it to you Sister Emilia, this is way more than what we need." Cedric said as he scrolled through a folder with sketches of Aiden's men.
"We didn't know what you needed, so we decided that having more was best." Sister Emilia said with a shrug. "Is this really enough to get him out of there?" Sister Emilia asked.
"It is more than enough." Cedric said with a nod. "First we need to get your nuns and the other people living in the convent out of there."
"Don't worry, we have a plan. Just say the word and I will make the call." Sister Emilia said with a nod.
