The final battle(3)
'Sage art: Sky wolf hunt!'
I dispersed my chakra high into the sky over the battlefield and with a flex of my will the cloud directly above us began to condense and darken before vaguely canine shaped pieces came "running" down towards the battlefield. Sunlight shone on the battlefield as the cloud was reduced to nothing as the last of the "wolves" ran down from the sky. Many people seem to forget but fog, clouds and mist are all types of water and that means they can be manipulated using water elemental chakra.-
Honestly speaking what I was doing now was little different than the water dragon jutsu as I used the clouds above us as the material instead of a river or ocean. That didn't mean it wasn't extremely intimidating to see as the overcast sky had a hole ripped out of it like a spotlight shining down upon the shinobi here as a small army of wolves made of literal clouds ran down towards us all. I scoffed when the few shinobi on Yagura's side that had been stopping me from using the ocean for large scale jutsu sent attacks at this army of wolves since they figured out immediately that it was my doing.-n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Like normal clouds attacking the wolves did nothing but turn them into water as the attacks pushed the water molecules together, water that still had my chakra in it. It was childs play for me to turn that falling water into water senbon precisely targeting the shinobi of Yagura's army. While not fatal unless it hit a vital spot the attacks were still distracting enough for the shinobi on my side to get an advantage. This was a no win situation for Yagura's shinobi as whether they destroyed my wolves or not they had problems.-
That didn't mean the attacks on the wolves stopped, just lessened. As a result a good twenty or so wolves made it to the battle field and began to harass Yagura's shinobi. This decisively tipped the balance in our favor and once that happened Yagura's people started to desert and flee rather than be killed. This was the final straw that sealed the armies fate as morale surged in my side and dropped in Yagura's. The best part was that Yagura himself couldn't couldn't order a retreat as he was fighting with everything he had with Mei who refused to let him leave after he realized that he was losing the battle.-
Seeing as my work in the army was done I left some shadow clones in the triage tents while heading over to Mei's battlefield. Yagura and her had moved the fight to a nearby island and the area definitely looked like it as the ground was melted in places and had coral in others in a weird clash of destruction and growth. Yagura himself was in his complete jinchuriki form with three red energy tails coming out of his back while his body had a shell and bones over the energy which showed he was but a step away from unleashing the tailed beast fully.-
Judging from how hard he was breathing as well as the roughness of the flow of this energy I could tell that even reaching this point in releasing the three tails power had taxed him heavily. Not because it was supposed to be hard but because of the preparations Mei had made to stop him from doing so freely. It should be understood that Yagura was a perfect Jinchuriki and could freely use the three tails power since he was in sync with it normally.-
What Mei did was put up dams to limit this flow that he now had to overcome to get at that power which was quite dangerous in the middle of a battle with someone just as strong as you who also countered your strongest techniques. Mei also wasn't looking her freshest either as her chakra was starting to get low while her clothes were a bit damaged revealing cuts and bruises from the fight. "Hold still please." I said causing her to jump cautiously before her mind finally caught up and she realized it was just me.-
Yagura didn't understand why she had reacted that way but he was too tired to care as he started slowly gathering positive and negative chakra in front of his face. "Annoying!" I scoffed as I slapped it with the nearby natural energy causing it to detonate prematurely as the balance was shattered. "Now then take this chakra and end this already, this has gone on long enough." I said matching her chakra signature with my own as I flowed my chakra into Mei's body restoring her to full again.-
This wasn't a unique thing as any medical ninja could do the same as it was regularly needed to treat shinobi who were dangerously low on chakra. It wasn't even a technique so much as removing ones signature from the chakra they sent into someone else so their body accepted it. It wasn't sustainable however in battle as at some point the body will realize it was being tricked and rebel. For a situation like this where Mei was just going to spend what I gave her immediately though it wasn't an issue. I took a sideline seat after topping her off and watched the show.-
That failed tailed beast bomb had left Yagura ragged and since he was already on his last leg while Mei was now back to her peak the battle ended without much fanfare as she killed him. To be more specific pushed his body to the point it couldn't handle it anymore as the tailed beasts power vanished from him letting her take off his head. She collected his body in a scroll before headed back to the main battlefield tired and ready to end this. When she showed up though the battle was long since over already.-
"We return home victorious this day! And soon we shall march upon and claim the village proper for ourselves! The age of the bloody mist, is over!" she yelled out and the shinobi who injured or otherwise all roared in joy and pride.
