Chapter 141 141. Leaving The City.
Chapter 141 141. Leaving The City.
Failure to comply with these two rules would result in the immediate death of the traitor.
Everyone in the room accepted Kevin's orders, and just like that, the new gang bosses gave their undying allegiance to the Boogeyman before departing from the warehouse.
In the end, everyone in the underground world was going to think that Brian Stark was still in charge, but those who were really close to Kevin and the late Brian Stark knew that the current King was the Boogeyman.
Meanwhile, Wolfgang resumed his subtle search for Kevin's mother in the underground world, but Kevin informed him that he'd be leaving the city in a few days, so the one in charge of keeping things in check while he was gone would be Wolfgang.
Although Wolfgang wanted him to stay since he had achieved the impossible since he thought Kevin would be happy to continue ruling as the current King. But it seemed that Kevin had other important matters to attend to and Wolfgang didn't want to stand in his boss's way.
He pledged to do his best to keep the law and order in the underground world until Kevin fully returned.
Kevin smiled in appreciation before leaving, knowing he could trust Wolfgang to do what he said he would do.
Kevin returned to the hotel where Amy was and both of them left before driving off to the hotel where both Sasha and Victoria were staying.
Even though Amy had wanted to follow him to the underground world, Kevin had warned her of how dangerous it would be if she followed him. So, she waited with the hope of hearing everything that occurred when he returned.
Kevin briefed Amy on everything that happened after he willingly got himself captured by Brian Stark's men.

*A few days later.*
"So, you'll be leaving the city today?" Sasha asked.
"Yes," Kevin replied.
They were currently sitting on a bench in the park. There was no one in sight yet because of how early they came to the park.
"And you? What are you gonna do since you won't be tutoring Amy anymore." Kevin asked.
"I'm going to take a break for a while before deciding what to do next."
For the few months she tutored Amy, Sasha had received two years' worth of salaries. However, if it had been her previous job she wouldn't have earned so much, so she didn't want to rush into finding another job too soon.
She wanted to relax a bit and take her time before knowing what to do next.
Ever since Kevin and Amy left Sasha and Victoria behind in the hotel, Victoria had explained a lot to Sasha.
Things like how Brian Stark really wasn't Amy's father but instead her uncle, and also how Kevin was currently searching for his mother as well.
Sasha now knew a lot about Kevin and why Brian Stark had been his target.
At first, it was hard to believe everything Victoria told her, but after spending a few more days with Kevin right after he returned with Amy, Sasha came to know Kevin a bit more.
And now she knew that her sister would most definitely be Kevin's next target.
Sasha placed her hands on either side of her lap and gripped the edge of the bench tightly. She was trying to muster the courage to ask her question.
But this wasn't really the problem. The truth was that she was a bit scared to hear what Kevin's response would be.
Still, she knew she had to ask because this was why she'd asked Kevin to follow her out here very early in the morning while Amy and Victoria were still asleep.
Kevin had pleased all three women last night, so Sasha knew that it would take a while before Victoria or Amy woke up and noticed that they weren't in the room with them.
Sasha took a deep breath and finally asked her question. "Will my sister end up like Brian Stark?"
"Probably."
Hearing that, her grip on the park bench tightened even more.
"B-but you'll still need to obtain some information from her won't you?"
"Yes, I will."
"And how do you intend on doing that?"
"Through any means necessary. If she proves too stubborn, I might have to resort to coercion."
Sasha's heart clenched a bit when she heard Kevin utter those words.
She knew her sister was to blame for his current hatred towards her, and she knew how stubborn Vanessa could be at times but Sasha didn't want to choose sides.
She would prefer it if they could find another way for both of them to get what they wanted without violence or either one of them killing the other.
"I've heard about how strong you are from Victoria, and I've seen you do things that I never thought were possible as well. And hearing how you fought against Amy's uncle all by yourself even though he was an Awakened, I'm now certain of how strong you are. But...."
"But?"
"But, do you know that my sister is also an Awakened?"
Kevin's eyes grew wide when he heard this. He knew about Drake being an awakened, but he didn't expect Vanessa to be one as well.
Sasha noticed the surprised look on Kevin's face and she shifted her gaze towards the water fountain in front of her before saying. "I guess you didn't know."
Then She turned back to him and asked.
"So, does it mean you two will end up fighting as well?"
"Since she's an Awakened, there's a high chance we will fight."
"But what if there's a way both of you can get what you want without killing each other?" Sasha suggested.
"I'm listening."
Sasha shared what she had in mind, and as Kevin listened to what she was saying, his brows became creased as he frowned.
He turned towards her before saying. "If we do this, her first instinct will be to save you and we might still end up fighting."
"True, but I'm sure you'll come up with a way to avoid it getting to that point, right?" Sasha asked with a smile.
Kevin scoffed and turned towards the water fountain. "I guess we'll just have to find out."
Hearing that, a smile bloomed on Sasha's face. But her phone suddenly vibrated and when she glanced towards the screen to see who the caller was, it turned out to be Victoria.
Sasha answered the call and informed Victoria of where they were and that they would be returning to the hotel in a few minutes.
