Chapter 384: Ch.383 Passing Off a Fake for the Real

"Spit!"

Arabella spat out the wine in her mouth.

She was squinting, thinking some kind of romantic scene was about to unfold. If Su Ming and the Amazon were going to roll in the hay, she wanted to join in too.

That's how it always happens in movies—a man and a woman are about to go on some dangerous mission, and before that, they have some "deep interaction."

But she didn't expect that the romance would instantly turn into a horror scene.

With a smile on his face, Su Ming knocked Diana out in his arms. Where was the love? Give back my emotions!

Looking at Su Ming now, there wasn't a hint of a smile—only the calmness of a calculation.

Back when they competed in various challenges in the Hall of Justice, he had gathered extensive data on the Amazon.

How much strength she could endure, how fast her reflexes were, how long it took her to recover.

Everything was thoroughly noted in his mind. He struck her with just the right amount of force on the back of her head.

"Oh my god, have you been possessed by Medusa?" Detective Chimp drew his weapon, wary of Su Ming, then eyed the two witches with suspicion.

This was a trap—he'd been lured into the witch's lair!

Arabella waved her hands repeatedly, "I had no idea. Don't look at me like that, or I'll turn you white."

Circe immediately surrendered. She had been standing beside Diana just now, and when the frying pan appeared in Su Ming's hand, she had realized what was going on.

She quickly cast a transmutation spell, but the man before her was completely immune—he had come prepared.

And with a powerful warrior like Su Ming up close, there was no option for her but to surrender.

"This has nothing to do with betraying the witch, Bobo. Put away your Nightblade." Su Ming gently laid Diana down on a chair. The Godkiller reverted to a curved blade. "That's a relic of the Midnight Master. You wouldn't want to pit it against divine metal."

Detective Chimp hesitantly put his weapon away, but kept his distance from Su Ming, ready to run at the first sign of trouble.

Su Ming rolled his eyes. There was nothing but ocean out there. Where could he possibly run?

From Aeaea to the nearest part of Greece, it must have been hundreds of nautical miles. He was a chimp, not a sea monkey.

"I oppose Diana's plan, and I don't have time to argue with her. I just took the fastest approach," Su Ming handed Diana over to Arabella, who struggled to hold the Amazon in her arms. "Take her to Hell. Deliver her personally to Mazikeen for protection—don't let her wake up. With the Justice League and you, it should be enough."

"So what's your plan against Hecate? She's clearly lost it—she's starting to seize control over all sorcery."

Arabella understood now. Su Ming must have received a mission to protect Diana from somewhere—that's why he was so determined.

"I've got an idea, but I still need to verify it. If you still want money, don't question my orders." Su Ming flicked out a cigarette, putting it between his lips, motioning for Arabella to execute his orders. He also beckoned Circe and Bobo to come back and sit down.

"Alright, you're the boss, you call the shots." Arabella sighed, quickly chanting a spell. A blaze of Hellfire consumed her and Diana.

Circe looked distressed. That fire had burnt one of her chairs, made of expensive wood.

Su Ming didn't even glance at her. He pulled out his phone, put it to his ear without dialing.

"You heard everything?"

The earpiece was silent, making it seem like Su Ming was talking to himself. He offered no explanation—just held the phone while quietly smoking.

After several seconds, a low voice came through.

"Yes, I heard everything. Your tactics are sound, but Diana will hate you."

"Heh, that's a problem for later. If the Hecate issue isn't resolved, everyone is going to get squeezed by Luthor." Su Ming tapped his fingers on the table in a rhythmic pattern. "His fish and cat have stolen something from the deep—a kind of super magic potion, it seems."

Batman stayed silent for a while. "I'll support you. Let's proceed with your plan."

Arabella, who had just returned, and Circe, who was watching from the side, were both confused. Only Detective Chimp seemed to understand something, observing Su Ming's finger-tapping.

Su Ming wasn't going to be polite with Batman. There was no "thank you" or "goodbye." Those weren't in Batman's dictionary—he wouldn't say them, and Su Ming didn't expect them from him.

He put away his phone, glancing at the entrance. "Everyone continue eating. Our new backup will be arriving soon."

"Justice League's teleportation? Isn't the Watchtower destroyed?" Bobo relaxed a little since Batman approved of Su Ming's approach.

He trusted Batman.

Su Ming picked up a communal fork, placing a piece of honey-glazed roast meat on his plate, cutting it into small bites. "The moon was blown up, but the Watchtower wasn't. As long as Superman lifts it for a bit, it's enough to complete a teleportation."

"Who did you call? Swamp Thing?"

Arabella started eating too, in high spirits. It seemed that she was still quite popular in Hell. Mazikeen accepted Diana without any questions, even arranging for her to stay in her own chambers.

"Swamp Thing doesn't need teleportation technology. As long as there's a single blade of grass on this island, he can transport himself here instantly through the power of the Green." Su Ming gave her a disdainful look, as if her intelligence had dipped. "Since Hecate originally chose the Amazon princess to bear her mark, today I shall give her an Amazon princess."

Not even a whole piece of roast meat had been eaten when a white column of light shot down from the sky at the entrance, and as the light faded, a heroic figure strode into the cave.

She had flowing black hair, wore red off-the-shoulder armor, a blue battle skirt, and carried the Amazonian Shield and Hephaestus' Sword on her back.

"Diana?" Detective Chimp squinted. But wasn't Diana supposed to be asleep in Hell?

Did Batman send Clayface here? Having a mass of sludge mimic Diana was a bit gross, man.

"Beep beep!"

The newcomer looked strikingly similar to Diana but behaved in a more modern way. She laughed at Detective Chimp's words, crossing her arms in front of her to make an "X," signaling that Bobo was wrong, while making sound effects with her mouth.

"It's Donna," Circe recognized the newcomer and gave a bitter smile.

Donna Troy, Diana's sister—a human weapon created by the Titans, molded from clay, with nine parts of her resembling Diana. She was meant to be a weapon against Diana.

The Titans had purposely abandoned her near Themyscira in her youth, allowing the Amazon queen to find her. The idea was that once she grew up, she would become envious of Diana and seize her throne.

That was the plan, but reality didn't cooperate.

Not only did Donna not grow jealous of Diana, but she admired her sister immensely.

Watching Diana leave Themyscira frequently to maintain world peace, free as a bird, she couldn't care less about ruling a small island.

Outside there was delicious food, fun, and romantic partners—what did Themyscira have?

So when she grew up, she also left the island, becoming a superhero. Diana was Wonder Woman, so to show that she was younger, Donna called herself Wonder Girl.

She completely broke free of the Titans, taking all the artifacts and powers they gave her and joining Olympus. She even took on divine duties, just like Diana. She was a goddess of fate.

Her leadership abilities were on par with Diana's, as she was the organizer and initiator of the Teen Titans. She also attended a proper university, joining the photography club, which made her even more outgoing.

"Ahem, who is this Donna?" She shook her head, adopting a stern demeanor, mimicking Diana's seriousness. "I am Wonder Woman, vice-chair of the Justice League. Where is our opponent? I want to fight her!"

Alright, now she was almost ninety-nine percent like Diana. Su Ming was confident they could fool Hecate.

The real Diana was hidden away in Hell, residing in Lucifer's palace, completely untraceable. Donna, on the other hand, didn't bear the mark—there was no risk of control, yet her combat prowess was just as high. She was the perfect bait.

If Hecate came looking for the "Wonder Woman" to investigate the whereabouts of her mark, she would walk right into Su Ming's trap. With the combined strength of Su Ming and Arabella, there was certainly a chance of victory.

Even the most insane individuals have their own objectives, and that objective is always their weakness. Su Ming would seize the opportunity.
