Chapter 192 Immense Scale
"Are you alright?" a sweet voice jolted Vincent awake from his slumber. Slowly opening his eyes, he found himself nestled against the soft and fragrant legs of Selene. The concern in her eyes was evident, as if she had been fretting over his well-being.
Vincent blinked, his mind still groggy from sleep.
'Ouch! My head hurts ' Confusion and pain suddenly filled his mind as he tried to recall something important . As he clutched his temples, the pain intensified, throbbing with each heartbeat. He closed his eyes again, hoping to find relief, but the confusion persisted. It felt as though a veil had been cast over his thoughts, obscuring his memories and blurring his sense of reality.
Suddenly, a warm feeling welled up within his chest, soothing the pain and gradually easing its grip.
"What happened to me?" he asked, feeling a deep sense of exhaustion weighing upon him.The last thing he remembered was enjoying a drink of Selene's milk, and now he found himself drained of energy instead. Fortunately ,he could already feel his vitality recovering .
"So you also don't remember anything after you created your domain ,"
"What domain ? " As her words sank in, he began to notice the stark difference in their surroundings.
No longer were they within a lush grassland; instead, they found themselves standing on a gray sand, illuminated solely by the brilliance of the stars overhead. The realization dawned upon him that he had indeed succeeded in establishing his own domain, a realm of his own creation.
"That place!" Vincent exclaimed in awe as he saw the sight before him. It was a familiar blue planet, one he would never forget - Earth. His heart raced with a mixture of astonishment and disbelief. "
"Don't tell me... Is this the moon?" he asked, his voice filled with anticipation, hoping for confirmation of his suspicions.
"I think so. To be honest, this is my first time witnessing a domain of such immense scale," she replied, her voice filled with wonder.
"You have accomplished something truly extraordinary," She understood the immense difficulty involved in establishing a domain, and yet Vincent had managed to create one of such magnitude. In fact, based on its size, she wouldn't be surprised if this place had been a fully-formed Personal Domain from the start.
This turn of events was truly unexpected. Even the renowned Original Vampire Xavier, as her mother had mentioned, had only been able to create a Movable Domain initially. But the man in front of her had surpassed that feat, and astonishingly, he hadn't relied on any divine instruments or artifacts.
"Personal Domain," Vincent's voice carried a hint of nonchalance, which puzzled both himself and Selene . Shouldn't he be ecstatic in this moment? Shouldn't he be filled with overwhelming joy? After all, he had achieved the highest rank of domain possible. Yet, deep within his heart, he felt an unexplainable sense of dissatisfaction.
"World Domain," he muttered to himself, the words escaping his lips almost involuntarily. Somehow, the notion of a world domain had permeated his thoughts, sparking a desire within him that he couldn't fully comprehend.
Regrettably, he had no inkling as to why those two words had crossed his mind in the first place.
'Let's forget about those stuff first and focus in the present ' Vincent stood up and stabilized his emotions .
"Thank you," he said, his words slightly stumbling before he corrected himself, "Your milk... I mean, that amazing liquid of yours really helped me a lot." With a smile directed at Selene, he extended his hand as a gesture of gratitude.
Selene's face flushed red as the memories flooded back into her mind. She know that Vincent hadn't intentionally used the word "milk" to tease her, but that didn't make the situation any less embarrassing.
It wasn't the act itself that bothered her, but rather the fact that she had actually enjoyed it. The thought of it now, and even just looking at his lips, inexplicably made her feel hot and wet at the same time.
"Not good. I need to control my feelings, or he will be able to smell it," she muttered under her breath, realizing the difficult position she was in. She recognized the need to regain control over her emotions. She knew that if she didn't, it would be all too evident to Vincent, and that was the last thing she wanted. Being a generally conservative person, she didn't want to further embarrass herself.
"You're welcome. But I don't believe that liquid was the sole reason for your remarkable growth," she replied, gently taking hold of his hands and returning the smile to hide her own embarrassment.
However, there was some truth to her words. .
Though she may have been timid, she wasn't foolish enough to believe that her energy alone had enabled Vincent to accomplish such a feat. If that were the case, the Minotaur clan would have already become the undisputed rulers of this world.
"I still want to thank you regardless," he expressed sincerely.
"Thank you also for rescuing me," she added, appreciating his actions.
As they stood side by side, Vincent couldn't help but notice that Selene had undergone a change in height. Despite still possessing her impressive physique, she now stood at a more modest six feet. Vincent took note of this transformation, but he refrained from commenting on it. In the extraordinary world of the supernatural, the change in her stature seemed relatively insignificant.
"By the way, how long was I asleep?" he asked.
"Sleep? I don't think you were asleep for more than 10 minutes," she replied.
"Only 10 minutes? How did I manage to create all of this in just 10 minutes?" he questioned, confusion evident in his voice. He couldn't recall any details about how he had constructed the domain.
"Don't worry, it's quite normal. Those who create their own domain don't remember the process. According to my mother, it's our subconscious mind that's responsible for creating the domain, which is why we have no recollection of it," she explained, trying to reassure him.
Vincent nodded, absorbing her explanation.
As he stood within the domain, he sensed something peculiar. It felt as if the domain itself responded to his thoughts, shifting and adapting to his will. With each passing moment, his comprehension of the domain seemed to expand, as if he were downloading information directly into his mind. It was an unusual sensation, both fascinating and unsettling at the same time.
But despite the intrigue and fascination with his newly acquired powers within the domain, he knew that his priorities lay elsewhere. He needed to come back to Erika and make their escape alongside Selene. Taking a deep breath to focus his thoughts, he turned to her and spoke earnestly,
"We must find Erika and make our way out of here. Time is of the essence."
Selene nodded in agreement .
"Let's get out of my domain first "
As Vincent and Selene stepped out of the domain, a momentary darkness enveloped the space, leaving them momentarily disoriented. However, when the darkness subsided, they found themselves standing within a room constructed entirely of metal. The metallic walls gleamed under the dim lighting, giving the impression of an enclosed space.
On one side of the metal walls, they noticed a door that seemed to lead outside.
"To save time, I'll carry you," he said softly, reaching out to hold her gently.
"hmm ...okay"
