Most of the Regis Elites were already Grand Masters, with a few already half a step into becoming Exalted. Raya and Myst were among the latter, and with Ames's assistance, they were able to break through without a problem.

As an Exalted, Raya's capability to replicate a scene through his innate magic improved by leaps and bounds.

Previously, when he was still a Grand Master, he could already pick up the magic energy coming from a peak Magus. Now that he was an Exalted, he could already pick up the magic energy of Legendary.

However, that was not enough. As a matter of fact, even if Raya broke through to a Magus, he would likely only pick up the magic energies of Sovereigns, and clearly, The Emperor, who was chasing after their young master, was not one.

If the request to recreate a scene through Memory magic were ordered by any other Regis Elder, including Patriarch Aron, Raya would have pointed this out respectfully. But the one who ordered it was Ames, the wife of their great ancestor who happened to be a real dragon. There was no way Raya could have declined.

No matter how respectful he acted, given Ames's unpredictable temperament, it would be a pipe dream to keep his head intact.

For this reason, Raya did not say anything and did what he was told. If he could not do it, at least Lady Ames would witness why that was with her own eyes.

However, Raya did not expect that the moment he roused his magic, Ames also acted. Her eyes glowed silver as the Sigil's mark appeared on her forehead. The Sigil's array appeared under Raya's feet as a translucent silver dragon circled him.

Raya did not show it on his face, but the moment the translucent silver dragon appeared, he felt the blood in his veins burn. It was not painful. Rather, it made him feel warm as if something within him were awakening.

Of course, Raya already had an idea of what was happening. The Sigil's mark was stimulating the dragon blood coursing through his veins. Although he only drank a drop of blood, it was the blood of the Dragon King— rather, the Dragon Emperor.

If Raya could stimulate it on his own, he could utilize 20% of the blood's power. Unfortunately, he could not go over that; otherwise, his body would explode. The only one who could go over that and even go past 50% was Master Cade.

If the dragon blood was stimulated by Lady Ames through the use of the Sigil, Raya wondered if Master Cade's utilization of the blood could go up to 100%. As for him, he could utilize 50%, or even 60%, of its power, depending on how much stimulation Lady Ames did.

Raya knew this because he had already experienced it when they dealt with the situation in the southern borders of the Ylfaen Empire. In any case, Raya sensed the stimulation from Lady Ames's Sigil at that moment was different from that time in the southern borders. This was because the previous stimulation was temporary. Once Lady Ames cancels the Sigil, Raya's strength will return to normal.

Apart from that, his mage level remained the same during the stimulation. Although it triggered a breakthrough after that, it was only because he only needed a little push, and the combat experience he gained from the battle gave him that.

However, Lady Ames's Sigil at that moment not only awakened something in Raya's blood. His mage level seemed to be improving as well.

Raya and the others were dumbfounded after hearing Ames's explanation. They knew about the former but not the latter. As far as they were concerned, the Sigil was used to bind them to another creature. It would then allow them to communicate with the creature and even share certain abilities through the use of the Sigil's Blessing.

None of them ever heard that Sigils could also be used to remove a seal. Then again, they never really encountered a situation where they needed to remove one. Besides, if they ever needed to unseal something, most of them were proficient in Array and could easily do so.

Ames seemed to sense Raya and the others' confusion and said, sounding a little annoyed.

[Obviously, you cannot remove a seal when you, yourselves, possess one. Now, the seal is to ensure that you don't attract unwanted attention if others sense the dormant Dragon magic energy in your body. My father's blood, after being stimulated, is the only reason you could create a small gap in that seal, allowing you to tap on that Dragon magic energy.]

Raya and the others were once more left dumbfounded at this. They were taught that they were able to use the Regis Technique because of the Dragon Emperor's blood. If they wanted to enhance the effect of their techniques, they would have to stimulate that blood. But what was Lady Ames telling them now?

That there was a seal on them and the Dragon Emperor's blood was the way to help them tap on the energy being sealed inside them? And what was the energy called? Dragon magic energy?

That was simply impossible.

They were humans. How could they possess Dragon magic energy? Besides, all of them already had their innate magic, and they definitely did not possess two magic cores that would allow them to have two types of magic. How could they then possess Dragon magic energy as well?

Even amongst the Regis Elite, few knew that Dragons did not use a magic array because the magic runes they used to rouse their magic were already present in their blood. Nevertheless, even those Regis Elite who knew about this did not think the magic runes in the Dragon Emperor's blood were as potent as those from real Dragons.

Ames could not help but roll her eyes. Contrary to what Raya and the rest of the Regis Elite believed, she did not only seem to sense their emotions. She truly could sense their emotions, allowing her to see through their thoughts. The latter was different from reading one's mind. It was more with her being able to see through their thoughts simply from understanding their emotions.

[All of you are my and Zane's descendants. How can you not possess Dragon magic energy? Or did you forget what I am?]

This was actually something that the Regis Family overlooked a fact. Or maybe not overlooked. Rather, they never considered it. And this was the fact that Ames and Zane actually had a child.

There were few records of the Regis Clan during Zane's time. And by the time the clan had actual records, none told of Ames and Zane's children. For this reason, they were convinced that the Regis bloodline managed to continue with Zane's siblings and relatives.

Ames sighed as she patiently explained why there were no records of Zane's time.

[Those records, if left alone, would have posed a threat to the family. Back then, we were still at war with the other Dragon tribes. If they knew that our tribe mingled with humans, who might be the evolution of the Ancients, then we would be seen as a threat to the Higher Realm.

[When that happened, we would not only be the receiving end of the other Dragon tribe's animosity but also of those clans in the Higher Realm that wanted to remain in control of that realm. To them, our mingling with humans was similar to secretly amassing military strength that could rival theirs.]

Ames did not elaborate on the details, but she remembered how her father united the Dragon tribes and even signed a treaty with The Emperor just to pacify his belief that they had created a force in the Human plane.

Ames's father agreed never to return to the Human plane nor communicate with them again. This was the reason the Dragons left. Nonetheless, her father did not want to sever the connection they had with their 'descendants.' For this reason, he allowed a part of their plane to stay in the Regis's Ancestral Lands, the Regis Terram.

But because he signed a treaty with The Emperor, the only one who could appear in the terram was Ames, who was not bound by it.

[We can talk more about that another time. But right now, I will remove that seal so you guys can use the Dragon magic energy properly. I will start with you, Raya, because I need you to find Kyran as soon as possible.]

Ames did not say they could use the Draconic magic energy because the only one who could use it was Kyran. Dragon magic was a lower grade of Draconic magic that was used by lesser dragons.
