Chapter 115

The place that had just been repaired by 15 NPCs was crowded with players who were very curious to check with their own eyes, the place where WynterRain had just appeared and shocked everyone.

Meanwhile, Hiro walked in the opposite direction of people with his face down. He was still thinking about the last sentence that was said by Liberty before the girl disappeared.

The name of the hospital room and the name of her cat?

Those two things kept replaying in Hiro’s mind.

“Looks like I have to go back to that hospital.”

He had gathered his resolve. Hiro didn’t know what he would see in the room Liberty mentioned. However, he had to see it himself to prove that he really wanted to find out about her.

Another additional task that he had to complete soon.

Meanwhile, a baby dragon perched on Hiro’s shoulder.

It looked like it had high curiosity, looking at its surroundings until it twisted its neck many times without stopping. Then, the baby dragon looked back at Hiro’s face, who was busy with his own thoughts.

“Kwakk!”

Crash!

[Health -15]

The dragon flapped its tiny wings, the spiky bones protruding out at the corners of its wings scratched Hiro’s cheek until it bled. Hiro was surprised. He just remembered one thing he hadn’t done.

“Ah, I almost forgot about you.”

The dragon looked away like it was annoyed because it was being forgotten. Hiro didn’t know how the pet’s brain works in this game. But, that creature seemed to understand his language.

“I have to name you, huh?”

Hiro took the baby dragon perched on his shoulder and carried it in his arms gently.

He then moved to a quiet place. Entering the gap between the two tall buildings, then stopped there.

The baby dragon didn’t rebel at all and instead it met Hiro’s eyes, who were looking at it.

“Kwak!”

“I still don’t know the details about the pet feature. But I heard pets can talk. Is that true?”

“Kwak!”

He tried to communicate with the dragon, although he felt a little strange about what he was doing.

“Kwak!”

The little creature only let out a ‘kwak!’ which made it sound like a baby goose instead of a baby dragon.

“No-no no, I mean talk to me. Not the words that I can’t understand.”

“Kwak!”

Hiro sighed. It seemed his new pet didn’t really understand the question. He then cleared his throat and tried to imitate the dragon’s voice when he called out to him.

“Come on, say something, Little dragon.”

“Some words that I can understand.”

“Kwak!”

Hiro had run out of patience and his last resort was to say the word he desperately wanted to hear one more time from the dragon, making sure that the in-game pet could speak.

“Can you say my name?!”

“Ow! What a cute conversation here!?” a girl’s voice suddenly interrupted Hiro.

He felt his face was burning as if there was boiling water under his head. He didn’t even notice the presence of several people who had been following him all this time.

Three people stood at the mouth of the gap in the building where Hiro was.

“Don’t tell me that you enjoy that stuff, NightFall.” Noah wrinkled his nose, looking uneasy at seeing Hiro doing something unusual.

“Go ahead. Finish your business.” Cara walked into the narrow gap with her arms crossed in front of her chest, her chin raised gracefully.

The way Cara walked made the girl look like she was doing a street catwalk. Reminding Hiro of one of the famous fictional superhero characters, Catwoman.

“Ehem. It’s not like what you see.” Hiro cleared his throat and tried to appear calm, although the red color on his face couldn’t be hidden.

“Hiro, we want to see the dragon!” Jacob explained the purpose of his arrival. Out of the three of them, it seemed that only Jacob didn’t care about Hiro’s silly actions.

With sparkling eyes, Jacob walked closer to Hiro, following Cara who was already standing in front of Hiro.

“Tch. Don’t count me in. That noobie knight forced me to come along.” Despite showing a displeased expression, Noah still walked forward approaching Hiro.

“Wait a sec– how did you guys find me?”

“Ahh—that damn party status.”

Hiro had almost forgotten about it.

“So, is this dragon a female or a male? Have you given it a name?” Cara asked while moving her index finger to touch the back of the baby dragon, right where the bases of its wings were.

As if the baby dragon was a spoiled cat, it enjoyed Cara’s touch and even flew away, leaving Hiro’s palms to perched on Cara’s shoulders.

“Well, it looks like a male.” Jacob made judgment based on what he saw.

“He even easily turns away from his owner.” Noah added.

The three of them nodded, as if they understood why the dragon easily turned away from Hiro.

“Hey! Don’t talk like that!”

Hiro, who realized the implied message of Noah’s sentence, was slightly offended. Even so, he let the baby dragon perch on Cara for the time being.

“It is indeed a male.”

“And about the name, I haven’t found a suitable one.” Hiro spoke casually again and shared the information he had learned about pets with the three of them.

“Ahh—such poor baby, your daddy doesn’t even have a name for you.”

“Kwak!”

Even though Cara spoke without looking at Hiro, Hiro felt a sword stabbed into his chest.

‘Did she just call me daddy?’

“Can I give him a name?” a wide smile spread across Jacob’s face, his eyes sparkled as if pleading for Hiro to grant his request.

“No way—don’t let him, otherwise your dragon will be a noobie like him. Just let me do that.”

Although the choice of words that always came out of his mouth seemed harsh, it seemed Noah also wanted to be the one who gave the baby dragon a name.

Hiro didn’t know how to react because he wanted to give the dragon a name as its owner. However, without the help of the three of them, the baby dragon might not have hatched until now.

Finally, he gave them a chance.

“OK, let’s try to ask the dragon first.”
