“Hehe, my time has finally come.” With a satisfied smile on his face, Noah checked the status of the accessory he just obtained from completing the special quest.

“Thank you, all of you. I wouldn’t have been able to do this without you all.” Hiro bowed his head to show his gratitude from the bottom of his heart.

His action surprised the four standing in front of him and amazed them a little. They were unused to this respectful way of thanking.

After completing the quest, Hiro decided to go somewhere on his own, leaving the others after separating in Eternity Kingdom. He immediately went to find the position of the pet tamer NPC to hatch his first pet to increase his battle rating.

Eternity Kingdom was filled with both NPCs and players from different bloodlines interacting with each other. The area of Eternity Kingdom was truly the only big city visited by waves of players from every bloodline.

Even though his surroundings were filled with people in a merry mood, Hiro was feeling extremely dejected. He was disappointed in himself.

He felt that his current strength could no longer be relied on. When he remembered the reality that he needed Noah’s wind spell to help him defeat the dragon, he couldn’t help but feel a little annoyed.

“I’m really left behind, damn it.”

‘This is all that crazy kidnapper’s fault.’

Hiro realized that he really needed to increase his strength drastically. And he needed to work hard for it.

Leveling up was no longer enough. Be it from weapons, armor, accessories, or buff cards. He needed more strength. It was time to upgrade his equipment, and what was already in front of him was hatching his pet egg.

Hiro passed by a residential area at the south end of Eternity Kingdom. The village wasn’t very large, but it was filled with house-like buildings. The lively music even reached Hiro, who was only observing from afar.

He could see both players and NPCs wearing bright costumes happily dancing and singing. It seemed that there was a local festival.

After going through the crowd, Hiro arrived in front of a simple wooden building. At first glance, it looked like a barn from the front.

He entered the building, and inside were three odd-looking cows standing with two legs occupying a partition that seemed to be a general wooden divider for cows.

“Welcome, traveler,” a man greeted Hiro with a wide smile. When Hiro looked at the man, he was immediately reminded of the figure of ‘Old MacDonald had a farm’.

The man was standing in front of one of those odd cows. Two bird-like creatures that also looked odd were perching on his shoulders.

His appearance was like Old MacDonald, but his name was like one of the playable characters in the famous game Harvest Moon.

“I’d like to hatch an egg.”

“Great! Do you have the required materials? If you don’t know about the materials, you can open the information menu on your pet egg status.”

The old man spoke very amiably. His smile never left his face.

“I’ve prepared everything.”

A semi-transparent panel appeared in front of Hiro. He had to move the pet egg to a hatching slot and complete the other slots with the materials he gathered.

He lifted the baby dragon like it was a toddler and danced with it at the same spot. Although he prayed for it, he didn’t expect that he would actually get what he wished for. It was as if the goddess of fortune was supporting him.

The baby dragon was very expressive. It stuck out its tongue when Hiro spun it in the air, like a dog enjoying the air from a moving car.

“I can’t believe this.”

Hiro looked at his HUD system and found a new icon on the home page, an icon used to check the status of the pets he owned. He couldn’t wait to see his baby dragon’s status.

“Don’t worry. I’ll make you the strongest pet in the world,” Hiro declared his promise.

As if it understood what he just said, the dragon nodded its head.

Hiro believed that a name was a very important thing as it contained the hopes the one who gave the name had for the named.

Like the username WynterRain.

Nobody knew that Hiro was the one who gave the name WynterRain for his brother to use when he was eight, when Yuujin decided to start a serious career in the gaming world.

It was winter at that time, and a winter rain was occurring where they were.

For the first time since the death of their parents, Hiro could feel peace when he saw the winter rain. The numbing cold in the air and the pitter-patter of the rain washed away all the emotions that burdened him for so long.

And ever since that day, looking at winter rains became something special for him.

Thus, WynterRain was born. Because he believed that the winter rain brought him the miracle of tranquility he never thought he’d feel at that time.

Yuujin liked the name since it first came out of his brother’s mouth.

“I’ll always be the miracle you believe, Hiro.”

Hiro didn’t realize that he was smiling as he reminisced about how Yuujin reacted when he gave him that name.

All of a sudden, a loud explosion could be heard from outside the building.
