Kiss Me Not

Chapter 115 - Good And Efficient Doctor

Kimmy was so sleepy and dizzy that she couldn't think straight. All she could do was repeat her replies. She did not notice that she was unintentionally mocking Cain by calling him Master.

Cain gave her one last look. He sighed helplessly. "Get some rest. I will be back soon."

He shook his head as he walked out of her apartment. It was Kimmy who should be serving him so how come he was doing things for her instead?

She had a fever so he would need to buy medicine and do groceries too at the nearby supermarket. He thought that living independently would teach her a lot of things but what was that? She was too messy. She couldn't even take good care of herself.

Soon Cain went back to Kimmy's apartment with some groceries and medicine. As he was instructed, he grabbed the food delivery from the front desk and went back up to Kimmy's unit.

Kimmy was still on the couch. He cleared her center table and prepared their lunch there.

"Kimberly, get up and eat something before you take the medicine," he whispered, helping Kimmy to get up.

"My body is aching everywhere," Kimmy complained. Cain was itching to give her a real scolding really hard but she was sick, so he would just do it once she was feeling better. He fed her some soup and insisted that she should eat more.

Kimmy, on the other hand, felt a bit awkward. She was totally confused with the kindness that Cain was showing her. Or maybe it was just his instincts as a doctor showing? Could it just be that she was so sick that it was in his nature to automatically take care of her? Not to mention that it was his job as the head doctor of the Royal Family and she was part of that Royal Family.

He raised the spoon that he was holding to feed her once more but she shook her head.

"Just one more," Cain softly whispered, Kimmy, opened her mouth and accepted it. Then he handed her a glass of water. Kimmy watched him clean up everything in the living area. She wondered what would have been if she did not run away and just went with the flow during that time when her mother had arranged their marriage.

Cain seemed to be a good candidate for a husband. But unfortunately, she let the opportunity slip away. But she was a hopeless romantic. Someone who believed that love was still the strong foundation of a relationship, and she would stick to that sentiment and would never agree to an arranged marriage at all.

She was interrupted in her stupor when Cain handed her some tablets and another glass of water.

"Drink this and it will make you feel better in no time. You also have to take a shower Kimberly…" Cain commented.

Kimmy then realized how messy she looked at that moment upon touching her hair. She also sniffed herself and her face reddened. She was so cold and dizzy that she did not bother taking a bath yet. She also felt so weak.

"I will prepare the bathtub so you can take your time. It will help subside the high temperature of your body," Cain said and Kimmy watched him walk into her bedroom like it was his room.

Kimmy's eyes widened, realizing how her bedroom must have looked. In a flash, she was by the door to her room, quickly opening it, and pushing Cain out of the room then slamming the door on his face.

"Ah, I will take care of it!" she shouted and immediately picked up her dirty clothes, including underwear on the floor. As she was cleaning, her knees felt weak and she felt slightly dizzy so she ended up slumped on the floor.

"Ouch!" she cried. The door opened and Cain rushed to her side.

"What is wrong with you? Your body is still weak!" He scolded as he carried her to her bed in an instant. He inspected her body and asked if any part of her was aching because of the fall.

"I'm perfectly fine," Kimmy weakly whispered. Cain's nearness and touch felt a bit weird, it was a feeling that she could not explain. She was so distracted…

She exhaled loudly when he finally left her for a while and took care of the bathtub. He came back and helped her inside the bathroom.

"I can manage from here. You can leave already," Kimmy said. Her face was blushing hard.

"Make sure you hold onto the rails or lean on the wall for support alright?" Cain reminded her.

"I'm really feeling better. I think the medicine is taking its effect," Kimmy reassured because her dizziness was gone.

"Call me once you are done and I will help you walk back out here so you won't slip," Cain commented before leaving her alone inside the bathroom.

He let out another loud exhale, looking at Kimmy's bedroom. He shook his head as he started picking up the trash inside.

"How old are you Kimberly?!" he whispered with flaring nostrils while he started cleaning up her room. He felt like their situation was in reverse where he was the servant and Kimberly turned out as the master.

He was sweating so much from cleaning that he unconsciously removed his tie and unbuttoned two buttons of his shirt.

Kimmy was shocked, seeing Cain arranging her bed. She gulped seeing how clean her room was compared to before.

"You don't have to do this," she whispered.

"Yeah, but I hate seeing untidy things so I can't help taking the initiative to do something. I can't believe a woman lives in this apartment… How can you do things in our residence when you can't simply clean up your own apartment?"

Kimmy rolled her eyes and mumbled, "I told you… Can't you just talk to me about other things? Because what you want is not really my forte. How about being your bodyguard? Or driver? I mean I'm more comfortable with that than doing those household things."

"Yeah, I feel like it will be a big mistake to let you handle those. Maybe you are right, just be my personal assistant plus driver. I really don't need a bodyguard. But I will still want you to do the cooking, so in your free time, you must practice cooking.

I'm very peculiar with my meals so I will prefer it personally prepared. You have to learn those and some other things. You live independently but I'm starting to doubt the words you told my father that you learned a lot from it…" Cain could not help but point that out.

Kimmy's face crumpled and said, "Whatever. Can you go out now and wait outside? I need to put on some clothes."

"Yeah sure…" Cain said and left Kimmy dumbfounded while looking at her room.

"How did he clean everything this fast?" Kimmy whispered. She was feeling much better now as compared to earlier.

"He's quite a good and efficient doctor," she whispered with an unknowingly beautiful smile plastered on her face as she walked to get some clothes in her closet.

Meanwhile, Cain smiled as he comfortably sat on the couch and whispered, "It's better that she stick with me, so being my assistant and driver is a good choice."
