Ling Chao inwardly cackled as his mind swirled toward the doom of all living beings in the Eternal Jade Heavens Immortal Realm. After tens of thousands of years of extensive and meticulous planning, it was finally time to take things to the next step. And after the deaths of everything in the Eternal Jade Heavens Immortal Realm, their own Nine Evil Yin Immortal Realm would be able to take the leap and become a Rank 2 Immortal Realm, which would then allow them to travel deeper into the Immortal Funnel. Hanging out at the very edges of the Immortal Funnel's periphery was no longer acceptable!

If exploring by themselves was not possible with just their strengths, then they had to force the evolution of their Immortal Realm and have it travel further into the Immortal Funnel without exterior interference. Yet, to do that, the Evil Sovereign had to assimilate the cores of ten different Rank 1 Immortal Realms. To do that, he had to kill the Immortal Realm Masters of each Immortal Realm and forcefully snatch up their Immortal Realm Cores. He already had nine of them, and to obtain the last one, the Eternal Jade Heavens Immortal Realm had to face divine judgement.

Unfortunately for the Realm Master and every single living organism of the Immortal Realm, this meant that they were bound to die. Of course, that was assuming nothing interfered with the Evil Sovereign's plans and thwarted his goals. For example, the True Enigma, who originated from a High-Mortal Realm that would usually stay under the radar. It was from such an insignificant place and in an even more insignificant part of that place that a true interference was born—one who could forever alter the plans of the absurdly powerful Evil Sovereign.

"Anyway, senior brother Ling Chao," said Fang Ju, his eyes drifting away from a few fairy-like beauties. "What are you going to do about the Immortal Ice Queen Ming? She says that she refuses to meet with you after you two first met each other for the arranged marriage meeting the other day."

"If what I hear is correct, then she plans to get out of the marriage by requesting the assistance of her father, the Ice Emperor Hao Fu."

Ling Chao's brows furrowed in annoyance. One troubling matter was annoying enough, and now the subject of that stupid b*tch was brought to the table. He was getting sick and tired of his junior brother bringing up all of his sore spots. Still, so as to play the part of the eldest disciple of the elusive Realm Master and senior brother of the illustrious genius Fang Ju, he had to remain composed. Therefore, he took in a breath of warm spring air before saying, "I think she will come around eventually. After all, the Ice Immortal Sect is a dying Transcendent Rank Sect, and an allegiance with our Eternal Jade Sect is their only hope for making a possible recovery."

Fang Ju nodded in agreement. "As astute as always, senior brother," he said as he pulled out a long paper list. "I created this as an attempt to better settle civil affairs, and as far as I'm aware, the Ice Immortal Sect only has our direct Realm Master lineage to choose from if they want to make a recovery from their embarrassing folley. I mean, honestly, what did they think would happen if they sent out 90% of their Immortal Transcendants to go and explore the Immortal Funnel?"

"To not only believe that they would survive, but to believe that they would come back with good news had to be the biggest mistake made by Ice Emperor Hao Fu."

Ling Chao calmly nodded, whereas on the inside, he was cursing out both the busty ice b*tch and her idiotic father!

They should just do what he says and get everything done with! It would be way better for everyone that way! But nooo-!!! That Ice idiot duo just had to go and become yet another nuisance for Ling Chao and his Nine Evil Yin Immortal Realm!!

'Damn it all!' He roared out inside his head. 'Why can't all the bumbling buffoons of this Immortal Realm just do as I say!?'

As Long Chao and his junior brother made their way through the picturesque lands of the Eternal Jade Immortal Sect, he was plotting all sorts of ways to maximize his benefits before the arrival of the Evil Sovereign. If things played out the way he wanted them to, then everything concerning the destruction of the Eternal Jade Heavens should go off without a hitch. However, very rarely did things play out the way one wanted them to. To counter this, Ling Chao pondered some contingency plans, one of which just so happened to involve the Emperor of the Azureflask and Moongod Empires.

'After I get them under my control, I can weed out the one who foiled my previous mole. Moreover, I will have two more Peak Immortal Emperors on my side, as well as the Immortal Transcendants that are backing them!'

While the Evil Immortal Realm spy was plotting all kinds of nefarious things, Azmodeus rode by horseback. Specifically, he rested in the back of a carriage drawn by horses. His intentions were to stay under the radar as he introduced himself as the new Royal Advisor sent by the Omega Dome. Flying would attract far too much unwanted attention, and that was the opposite of what he desired; thus, changing his mode of transport as well as his appearance was the most ideal choice to make. n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

No longer was he the Duke Thief. He was now Azmodeus, the Omega Knight that had taken up work as one of the Royal Advisors of the Azureflask Empire. A matter of concern was the Merchant and Son duo that knew of his true name, but if they were to disclose such information and betray him, their losses would be just as severe, if not worse than his would be. Therefore, no plausible strings were attaching him with the persona that he took up when re-acquiring the King Crystals. Of which, he still had a few dozen.

He only needed one of them to alter his Immortal Domain and transform the dragon-type aspect of his existence into something more lethal. Thus, the leftover King Crystals were discarded into his Storage Space, just waiting to rot and lose value.
