Chapter 126: A Dragon and the King
'There's no way this is real... that's... a first-generation dragon!!!' Mordred panicked at the side, her hand already reaching for her blade. 'Change of plan, forget taming it, beating a first-generation without magic is almost impossible... I need to get him out of there!'
Ha Joon stood with his hand in his pocket as he looked up at the dragon. "Yo, how's it going?"
The dragon growled. (I will kill you, human! Have you no fear?)
"Huh? What for?" Ha Joon raised a brow. "Anyway, my name is Ha Joon Pendragon, I am the current king of Camelot."
(A new king... Tch! I have long forgotten the likes of your people.)
"You say this knowing Camelot saved many dragons? Even Pendragon follows the way of the kingdom."
(Whatever that fool does is of no concern to me, and I do not owe a human any response, whether they be king or emperor.)
'Wow, we have a stubborn one here... huh?' Ha Joon looked toward where Mordred and Yukio were hiding, seeing that they were waving their hands, telling him to run away and retreat.
He simply smiled and gave them a thumbs-up, leaving them almost giving up on life.
(Since you're the king, I shall overlook this incident if you apologize to me right now.)
"Why on earth would I do something like that? I came here to tame you, not butter you up..." Ha Joon pointed at the dragon. "Come on, are you stupid?"
A sudden vein pulsed at the dragon's temple, bulging like it was trying to form a roadmap of its irritation across its forehead.
(I'll kill you.)
"Eh? What was that? I couldn't hear you through all the-"
(I said I'll fucking kill you!)
[You have successfully enraged the dragon.]
Ha Joon smiled.
The dragon opened its mouth, ready to shoot out a surge of flames.
"Shit! We need to get him out of there..." Mordred pulled out her sword, but before she could move, Yukio held her back.
"Wait... I think this is what my lord wants," she said.
"What?" Mordred looked at her.
"You shouldn't be surprised; he does this all the time. He intentionally provoked the dragon, and I'm sure he knows it's a first-generation dragon... My lord knows what he's doing."
"Knowing or not, that's no dragon to take lightly, especially without magic. Are you not worried?"
"I am. If things don't go well, I'll step in to help. That said, I'd like to give my king the benefit of the doubt. He wouldn't willingly walk into a battle he knows he can't win." Yukio muttered, her gaze fixed on Ha Joon the whole time.
"You..." Mordred's surprise turned into pity. "You really are a simp for him, aren't you?"
Blast!!!
The flames from the dragon's mouth surged forward, streaking toward Ha Joon, who just stood there with a smile on his face.
'Fighting a dragon without magic sure will be a tough one... is what I would have said if I didn't spend two months maxing out my stats... haha... I'm about to *molest* this dragon!'
The flames connected with Ha Joon's body, causing an explosion that once again sent the spring water flying into the sky.
"Why the hell did he not move?!!!" Mordred screamed in frustration as she watched from the side, stressing like an old lady.
The dragon watched with a calm look, its flames burning on the surface of the water.
(A single attack was all it took for the king of Camelot to fall? What a joke these humans have become... Ahhn? He survived it?!)
"You know... I'm wondering what kind of human form you'll have. Sexy milf, dumb girl, or perhaps... a three-hundred-thousand-year-old loli, so many options with such little time."
Ha Joon spoke as he walked out of the fire, his shirt already burnt off, leaving his muscles and mainly his chest on display.
(Annoying!!!)
The dragon opened its mouth to send another fire.
Boom!
Ha Joon leaped up from the ground, kicking the dragon on the chin, which sent the dragon's head facing the sky, with flames bursting out of its mouth.
He then grabbed the dragon's scales, using the momentum to shove the dragon into the river with a grin on his face.
(No wa---)
A loud thud echoed as the dragon's body collapsed into the water.
Ha Joon had leaped off earlier, standing at the side to watch the dragon struggle to stand on its feet.
"Now then, let's beat you till you agree to be my personal dragon!!!"
Before Ha Joon could take a step, a sudden energy surged from the dragon's body, the force sending him flying and crashing into a nearby rock.
Without any magic to reinforce his body, he took a lot of damage, but since his Vitality is in the millions, the pain was hardly felt.
He coughed, blood spewing from his mouth the moment he covered it.
'That energy just now... if I hadn't leaped back just in time to maintain the same force, I would've been ripped apart by it. A first generation alright.'
(Kill you! Kill you! Kill you!!!) Raaaahhhh!
The dragon raged even more, its body surging with electrifying energy. It looked at Ha Joon, glowing as it prepared to launch at him.
"This isn't good, we need to do something, Yukio!" Mordred was more than ready to interfere, her grip on her blade already tightening.
Yukio was still feeling conflicted. She wasn't sure whether to help her master or trust in his skills. Whatever decision she made had to benefit Ha Joon.
Then a thought occurred to her. Rather than fighting the dragon, she would assist from the sidelines.
"Mordred, allow me to handle this," Yukio said.
She curved her palm around her mouth and then shouted -
"Rorrrrrrr! Rorrrrrrr! Rorrrrrrr!"
Silence immediately took over. The dragon turned around to look at Yukio with its energy slowly settling down.
It had a somewhat confused yet sad look on its face -
(What's up with you? Why are you calling me an old lady? Am I that old?)
