Human King

Chapter 123: Returning home (33)

Chapter 123: Returning home (33)

"Hmm. You've been defeated?"

A solemn and deep voice resounded out in this place. This place was where the goblins were fighting the wolf.

And unlike before, so many goblins were present here right now that it seems like they were out to hunt!

However, that was only because Karkas' group was finally able to reach this place.

They stopped when they saw the first group of goblins, and this was the situation.

Karkas was looking at Razta and the other blessed goblins who were leading the normal goblins.

When Karkas first heard that they were defeated, he was surprised.

After all, Razta is a strong goblin. He could even contend against Didi for the second strongest goblin in the village.

That was why it was shocking, but it didn't really matter.

"I guess that's fine. Wolves, huh." Karkas said.

He didn't think that wolves would be strong enough to destroy 300 goblins.

It was just that weird.

However, it already happened, and Karkas is forced to make a decision.

He is forced to make a decision whether to continue going back to the village or not.

After all, almost all of the goblins were dead. It was as if their main force would have to come out just to continue this.

What's more, they already lost a blessed goblin. That hurts more than anything.

Besides, if they continued this, there would be no goblins who would be there to defend the king specifically.

And the king would also be exposed to danger as he would be near the battlefield.

That was why...

"We stop here."

Karkas said as he raised his hands. He then pointed to several goblins as he spoke.

"Didi, form a front! Dal and Una will supervise the surroundings!"

Karkas then pointed to the exhausted, blessed goblins.

"You guys will rest for a while."

"Hig and your goblins will then proceed to hunt for food, but make sure do not go overboard!"

"Most of the goblins would stay here and protect the king!"

"Go!"

Karkas said with intensity as he ordered the goblins.

Of course, the goblins quickly followed his instructions. Everyone who had their names mentioned moved twice as fast.

After all, they already knew what they would do.

'Hmmm.' Karkas thought as he just looked at the goblins.

Although it was amazing that he was able to come up with this decision immediately, it was actually simple.

Karkas just based it on whether the king would be safe or not.

And Karkas judged that if they continued the march, the king would be exposed to danger.

And Karkas thought that it would be better if they just let the king rest here.

'The march became pointless. However, at least we were able to get away from that accursed place!'

The march became pointless since they wanted Dawn to rest in the village, but for Karkas, it was all worth it.

Why? It was because they weren't near the west anymore, and they couldn't even see the mountains.

That was the place of defeat, and Karkas thought that Dawn wouldn't want to be there when he woke up.

Karkas then walked up to the place where Dawn was resting.

He searched for a rock to sit on, and he was able to find something like that quickly.

Karkas sat down on it as he looked at the sky.

"This is a long night..."

And so, the goblins stayed in an unfamiliar place as they wait for Dawn to wake up once more.

****

While the goblins were doing their own things to help make this camp a good one, there was a goblin who wasn't doing anything.

This goblin wasn't Karkas, as Karkas was a goblin who uses his mind to do something.

This also wasn't the injured goblins, as they were just resting their bodies.

In essence, they were doing something.

However, this particular goblin wasn't doing anything.

He didn't move his body to rest or something like that. He didn't use his brain to think of something to help the goblins.

He just...laid on the bed that was made for him.

Needless to say, this goblin is Dawn, who has been out for the entire night.

This goblin has been out for so long that his village has been halved.

It was strange if you think about how even the tiniest noises would wake him up.

It was weird if you think about how Moris already used his powers to heal Dawn and even judged him to be fine now.

However, it all becomes clear if you think about what he was doing.

Well, he wasn't really doing anything, but he was watching.

Dawn was watching a scene of dots, and those dots were colorful.

They came in red, blue, yellow, gray, and black.

However, that was not the reason why Dawn wasn't waking up.

After all, there's no way Dawn would waste his time watching these dots.

It was because of what he felt while watching these colorful dots.

---Anger...

Dawn thought as he tried hard to suppress it.

He tried hard to suppress the feeling that he has right now, and that was the feeling of anger!

However, that was not all that Dawn was watching.

There was also a conspicuous dot, and that dot had the color of black.

However, when that black dot blinked, Dawn's anger subsided immediately!

It was as if he wasn't even angry in the first place.

And that wasn't all that happened to Dawn.

The feeling of anger has been replaced with something else.

And that feeling was...

---Satisfaction. I am feeling satisfied with what happened.

Right, Dawn was feeling satisfied with what happened to the black dot.

It was weird if you think all that happened was that it blinked once.

Nothing ever happened to the colorful dots, or even to that black dot.

However, it was able to change Dawn's feelings right away.

And this scene kept repeating again and again.

---Anger...

Again...

---Satisfaction...

And again...
