Chapter 105: Returning home (15)
Chapter 105: Returning home (15)
As the goblins continued running to hunt down the unknown monsters, they were able to reach the place where Yamu felt the monster.
The place didn't have anything special or something like that.
It was still part of the forest.
That was why when Razta reached it, he spoke.
"Weird."
Razta's voice was solemn, and his face was serious. It wasn't the face that you would expect from an excited goblin.
However, this reaction was normal.
Why?
'I can't feel anything.' Razta thought as he sharpened his eyes.
His instincts weren't reacting to anything in particular, and he couldn't feel anything as well.
And the fact that Razta couldn't feel anything was weird.
Why?
It was because he was a High Viscount goblin.
The fact that he was a High Viscount and yet he couldn't feel anything was weird.
After all, the Blessings of the Battlefield has developed his senses and instincts much more than any other goblin present here.
He should be able to find a trace of the unknown monster better than Yamu.
He should be able to feel the power of the unknown monster better than Yamu.
However, he couldn't feel, see, or hear anything in this place.
It was then.
As Razta was perplexed about how he couldn't find anything at all, a goblin walked up to him without Razta noticing.
And that goblin was Wos.
"There really isn't anything." Wos spoke as he looked at the surroundings.
He was the only blessed goblin, except for Razta, who is right here right now in this place.
The other blessed goblins were still running in the forest, trying to catch up to the two.
Well, they weren't really catching up as they were just trying to find other places with monsters like that.
Since they decided to start a fight against the unknown monsters now, they planned to clean this area up completely.
If a monster were able to survive after they destroyed the monsters here, that would prove to be a danger for the king.
What's more, it would be the greatest humiliation for a goblin to say that they hunted, but monsters were still alive.
Anyway, as Wos spoke, Razta soon heard it and was able to get himself together.
"Where's Yamu?" Razta asked Wos as he wanted to gain more information.
Yamu was the one who felt or met the unknown monster, so he would definitely know more about the place than Razta.
It was then.
Thud!
The sound of something falling to the ground could be heard by the two goblins.
Dudududu!
The footsteps of something running could be heard in this dark forest.
However, without them turning their heads, they were able to guess what the source of the noise was.
"Yamu!" Razta called out to Yamu without even turning his head.
And as if he were waiting, a voice answering Razta resounded out in the place.
It was Yamu.
"You feel anything?" Yamu asked as he walked towards the two goblins.
Yamu still couldn't feel anything in the place. He didn't even think that this place was dangerous or something like that.
It was as if there were no monsters at all!
And that was the same for Razta, which is why he quickly asked Yamu.
"Where did you feel the monster?"
Yamu closed his eyes as he tried his hardest to remember what happened when he was here.
However, no matter how much he thought about it, only one answer would come up.
"I don't know. It was all over the place."
And the answer that came out of Yamu's mouth wasn't useful for Razta, which is the reason why Razta's face was more fearsome than ever right now!
The three goblins continued talking while surveying the area to get more answers.
Time passed while they were doing that, and nothing really happened.
That was why they were frustrated so much that they thought they thought Yamu was joking about it, or the monster already ran.
It was then.
While the three goblins were talking with each other, something disturbed the leaves.
Shuush.
The wind blew, and the bushes moved. However, the goblins still didn't notice it as they kept talking to themselves.
"Where are they..."
That was why they didn't notice that pair of eyes that were staring straight at them!
That pair of eyes were dangerously glowing in the dark as it watched the goblins.
Even though there were many goblins present in the area, none of them have noticed the eyes!
It was crazy if you think about how the eyes were stupidly conspicuous when it was paired with the darkness!
However, it seems that the pair of eyes didn't have any plans to watch them any longer as it moved!
Swosh!
The bushes around the area were disturbed. However, no goblins noticed anything at all!
They just continued with their lives as if everything were normal.
And the pair of eyes just continued moving until...
Grrrr!!
Something growled in the darkness as the pair of eyes moved!
A part of the bushes then parted as something emerged from it.
It was a wolf! A big one at that! However, if there were something different about it, it was that its skin was dark!
No...it was black!
And when that wolf came out of the bush, it immediately attacked one of the goblins!
It opened its mouth wide as it bit a goblin by its head!
However, that was not all that happened.
The wolf then returned to where he was, and the wolf dragged the goblin's body!
All that happened within the span of less than a second.
What's more, none of the goblins noticed.
"I really..." Razta's voice resounded out as he continued speaking to the two goblins.
It was proof that even he couldn't notice that a goblin has disappeared or a wolf has killed!
It was absurd if you think about how his senses are more advanced than any other.
And that speaks volumes about the wolf's strength!
"Grrr!" The wolf's growl resounded out in the dark forest.
And none of the goblins have noticed it...
