Chapter 104 - Overpowering (Pt 2)
The Test continues…
Shamac and Talia are down. Ana and myself are left. Of course, I still intend to spectate so it's just going to be Ana facing off against him. To be honest, this is for the best. As an ex-Apostle, Ana has way better battle experience and combat prowess than Talia and Shamac combined.
I know for certain that Talia and Shamac are both alive. The attack Jared gave wasn't aimed at killing them, merely to incapacitate the two. Besides, my slaves wouldn't die so easily. In any case, Ana had better pull herself together if she intends on winning this fight, or at least dragging it out for a longer period of time.
"You seem awfully calm for someone who just witnessed her friends get their asses handed to them" Jared smirked, looking at Ana with a curious gaze.
"That doesn't matter. As long as I beat you, then it's all worth it!" Ana said with resolve.
She took a deep breath and suddenly her eyes glowed white. She focused her vision on Jared, furrowing her eyebrows as she kept staring.
"Whatever you think you're doing, it's not going to work. You're wasting your ti-" Jared spoke with confidence
However, before he could finish his statement of arrogance, his left hand vanished, fading from it's position.
His eyes widened with shock when he witnessed this.
"W-Wha?!" He let out.
Suddenly, blood gashed out of the gaping hole left behind by his arm's absence. His face expressed perplexity, unable to comprehend the situation he found himself in.
Before he could gather his thoughts together, she immediately summoned ten Treasures, of which among them are swords, axes and spears, launching them at Jared. He recoiled upon seeing this and abandoned his confused thoughts in order to halt the attacks homed at him.
He raised his right hand slightly and went on to snap his fingers in order to render her attacks to nothing but dust. However…
"I won't let you!" She declared
Her eyes glared at him once again, and his right hand disappeared. With no hands attached to either of his shoulders, even more blood leaked out as Jared lost his balance. Most of all, he lost his Ability to snap. Floating helplessly with a shocked look, he witnessed the weapons approach him at a devastating speed.
"SQUISH. SQUISH. SQUISH. SPLURGE!!!!"
My Treasures pierced all over his body. His legs, shoulders, feet, chest… They all felt the agonizing stab of my Treasures.
"Puackkk" He vomited blood.
His weary eyes looked at Ana, who stood some distance from him with a condescending expression.
"Y-You… What did you…" He wheezed as he spoke.
I smiled at the sight. Who would've thought Ana would be able to pull if off so well. What a surprise for me as well.
"How do you like that, brat?" Ana asked with a wide grin as sweat formed on her face.
"It doesn't feel good, that's for sure…" He coughed with more blood flowing out.
"Yeah, now you know how… Keuk" Ana suddenly groaned, holding her chest with a pained expression.
What? She is full already? How is that possible? I gave her only 3,000 of my blades in order for there to still be some space in her Limbo Space. So far, she has not taken anything into it, other than Jared's limbs. She should still have some space to spare, so why?
"Huff… Huff…" She let out in exhaustion.
"Why am I…?!" Talia asked herself, her chest throbbing even more as she clutched it with her hand.
Jared's already mutilated body slightly moved as he gave a sly smile.
"Jared, what did you do? How is this happening?" Ana asked when she saw his expression.
"Me? I did nothing. Weren't you the one who took both of my limbs from me?" Jared grinned.
"You…" Ana groaned as the squirming sensation persisted.
"You know, I was really impressed when you took my arms. I thought they were gone forever. What kind of move is that?" Jared smiled.
Ana remained silent as she glared suspiciously at Jared who seems to know the cause of this strange occurrence.
"However… For you to have this reaction it means you only transported them to a separate space where I can't sense them. And from the looks of it, that space is connected to you that's why you're having this reaction." Jared uttered, still wheezing due to the injuries he suffered.
"S-So what? How does that explain anything?" Ana said with irritation, getting flustered by Jared's words.
"Oh, but it has a lot to do with everything. You see… You've already lost" Jared grinned widely, showing his bloodied teeth.
Ana's usually stoic expression turned into a glare. Clearly she's getting unnerved by him.
"Is that some sort of joke? Look at you, clearly I've won, haven't I? You're impaled in every part, you're immobilized. It's your loss!" Ana said angrily.
"Oh, is it?" Jared said.
Suddenly, the weapons which pierced him began to rust and within moments, they turned into dust. The blood which dripped from his body remained as his pale body shuddered.
"Just stop it and admit your loss!" Ana protested.
"My loss?" A voice came from behind the bloodied, half-dead body of Jared.
Suddenly, another Jared appeared from behind the injured one, completely unscathed and looking as though he never received any damage to begin with.
"N-No… W-What is this…?!" Ana gasped.
Jared snapped his fingers with a smile on his face and suddenly Ana's body got impaled by several weapons, similar to the ones she used to pierce him.
"Gahhhhh" She screamed.
That must hurt.
As she felt intense agony, both from within her Limbo Realm and her physical body, she coughed blood and throbbed with unimaginable pain.
"Ahhhhhhh" She kept screaming, her desperate cry reaching my ears where I stayed, as though begging me to intervene.
Finally she fell unconscious since she couldn't handle the overwhelming sensation which ravaged her. Her body hung on the floating swords seemingly lifelessly, until they vanished and she fell, crashing Into the ground as well.
From the start I didn't expect her to win, but I actually thought she had a chance after seeing her pull off the whole 'vanishing act'. Oh well, it doesn't really matter at this point.
The only one left is me.
Jared smiled as I levitated, rising to the level where he floated.
"Look who's finally ready to join the party" He said with a casual laugh.
I smiled at his attempt at humor. He's right of course, it's finally my turn to fight. What he doesn't know is that I've figured it out… His little trick, at least a part of it. But that's good enough.
"This won't be a party… At least, not for one of us." I smiled to myself.
The real fight starts now!
