Chapter 86: Chapter 86: All About Eternal jade Guild!
Hearing the voice coming from the other side. Noah turned only to see Xin Yan and Elysia coming from the other side of the mansion.
Unlike what he just saw before leaving them alone there was a harmonious atmosphere between the two of them as they discussed the details of what they were seeing. It was like they were best friends but only Noah knew the truth!
Noah could only watch them with a speechless look as this was not the first he had seen the face of a woman change this fast.
The woman can be sisters and enemies within a span of a few minutes. He just knew he had to keep himself out of their matters and he would be alright.
This was also the reason he left them alone before.
"How is the place?"
Noah asked while checking the rooms with his soul sense, he could see that most of the furniture was already present inside the room.
"Indeed, the place is lovely."
"Let's see what this Eternal Jade guild is all about."
Selecting a room at random they walked inside. Taking his seat on the wooden chair, Noah brought out the booklet given to him by the old manager. It was a thin looking book with the guild's name imprinted on it in bold letters.
As he flipped through the booklet, Xin Yan sat on the seat beside the one Noah was sitting on while Elysia stayed floating in the air.
"So They are basically a building that handles all the major business of the city. No wonder they hold so much power. They don't have any competition here at all." Noah mumbled as he closed the book and passed it to the woman next to him.
The Guild was a colossal building that was divided in different sections based on their expertise. On the northern side of the building was the alchemy branch, the western side was given to the Weapon Refining.
Even though they were right beside each other, the arrays kept the noise from the area inside the seal so that no one was disturbed while working or purchasing. The isolation arrays provided them the perfect atmosphere to work in as these professions demand extreme focus and no distraction.
The alchemy and weapon refining have ranks of their own. They are graded from Rank 1 to Rank nine and their effectiveness varies in correspondence to the Qi realms with exception to some pills.
Rank 1 being the lowest and Rank nine being the highest. But in this guild only Rank 1 to rank 3 materials were sold.
Only if it was a special occasion such as a large grade auction, would the guild present a Rank 4 item to the people.
The auction house was present on the east side of the building.
Whenever huge auctions are held people from nearby cities and even the sects would join to compete for the resources.
And finally the last part of the guild that makes the Guild, A Guild!
A mercenary Hall!
Just as the name suggests the mercenary hall is the place where people sign up as mercenaries and accept missions.
Cultivators usually have an unrestrained personality and do not like working under someone. Being a mercenary is the best decision for such people.
They take a mission, complete it and get rewarded.
They can also sell the corpses of the spirit beasts they kill on the counter in exchange for the spirit stones or material of the same value.
The guild uses the market price as the bases but it can also vary on the condition of the dead body of the beast.
All of this familiar set up reminded Noah of the adventurers guild and the other guilds from his previous life. His eyes involuntarily turned cold for a split second before returning to normal.
The Eternal Jade Guild had further ranks for the mercenaries to prevent them from taking higher risk missions. People tend to take higher risk missions because of their high rewards and die because of lack of cultivation.
The ranking system for the Guild was simple, they had based the ranking system for mercenaries according to their cultivation levels.
Whether it be Body or Qi cultivators they accept them all. They do not discriminate with people as long as they have power. This was also one of the reasons for their fame among cultivators.
The ranks for the mercenaries were classified as,
Body Tempering Mortals are regarded E rank Mercenaries The lowest of the barrel, they were only allowed to do missions like collecting spirit herbs and being guards for some mortal merchants or some miscellaneous missions suitable for their ranks.
Qi Gathering Cultivators are presented with D rank. Since they have power to deal with some low level spirit beasts on their own. They can take missions like killing beasts, obtaining higher ranked materials. Sometimes they even get requests to kill bandit groups.
Qi condensation realm cultivator gets C rank. Their tasks are given based on available missions which are mostly killing beasts of the same ranks. The people with high ranks can take missions with low ranks but the low ranked mercenaries can not do the opposite. Most of the mercenaries were C ranked!
After that Foundation establishment cultivators are B Rank Mercenaries.
Core Formation realm Cultivators are A rank Mercenaries.
Golden Core Realm Cultivators are S Rank mercenaries.
There are further ranks but they are not public information. The book only contained the information that was available to the public. Aside from this information, there were also dates for auction in that book.
Xin Yan who was reading the book sighed seeing that they just missed an auction that was held a few days ago.
"So how long are we staying here?" Closing the book she asked with curiosity. She tried to pass it to Elysia but the woman did not seem interested in this kind of book. To her the books that Noah gave her seemed more interesting..
"We will leave as soon as I break through The Next realm. So in a couple of months. I want to improve my martial skills and gain full control of my body."
Xin Yan nodded understanding fully that Noah can handle the Qi well because of his past experience with similar energy but handling a strong body can only be gained through training. It is like if a mortal suddenly has a body of a powerful cultivator and tries to move they would either find themselves smashed into the wall or they would probably act like a fool with it.
"Let's take a rest and tomorrow we can visit the branch of the guild to register ourselves as mercenaries."
