Chapter 124: Chapter 124: Elysia's Gift!
Sheathing the sword back into its place, Yuan Ming felt the rush of qi after killing the beast but right now for him, it was not even with a drop in a bucket.
To break through to the next realm he needed a huge amount of Qi. While at it he also needed a cultivation technique that suited him and he was unable to find one till now.
Using the sword to break through was not feasible for him anymore. He needed to cultivate the likes of others too.
Sighing he turned his attention back towards the injured hare. The beast looked at him with vigilance and alertness.
"Don't worry little guy, I won't do anything to you. In fact, I might even heal you back to your peak."
Seeing the vigilance in the eyes of the beast Yuan Ming chuckled and spoke up. His words further intensified his caution.
It did not believe that a human would approach it without any selfishness.
He had been through many things and had seen the cruelty of the human race.
It would rather die of its injuries than be taken advantage of.
Seeing the pride in the eyes of the beast Yuan Ming felt that it might not be that easy to tame this magic beast.
After thinking for some time, an idea flashed through his mind.
"Why don't you become my brother? We will walk on our cultivation journey together…"
Yuan Ming continued to paint a beautiful picture for the hare, trying to make it join him.
"Squeak!! Squeak!!"
(You fucking Bastard!! Your family is brother! Dare to assume my Gender!!)
All he got in return was a disdainful glance and some squeaking words that somehow sounded like curses to Yuan Ming.
As if realizing something Yuan Ming looked up and down at the hare's body to confirm something.
"Are you a female?"
"Squeak!!!... Squeak!!!"
(You molester! Pervert! Beast! You dare to check out this lady's divine body!!)
After a series of other curses Yuan Ming could only wryly scratch the back of their head.
He did not think that a beast would be this much offended by his action. Unable to comprehend the beast's actions he gave up and said.
"Well, so you wanna join me or not?"
The hare gritted its teeth and thought about its options. Not having any other choice it could only nod in agreement.
Seeing the nod, Yuan Ming grinned and walked to the corpse of the dead Bison.
Pulling out the core from the head of the beast he walked back to his companion and gave it to her.
"Here eat this and breakthrough. You will be healed."
Realizing his intention, the beast looked at him carefully before taking the core from its hands using its small paws.
Soon it laid down trying to absorb the core, it did not take long before a gush of energy exploded out of her little body.
It was the sign that it entered the eighth stage of the Qi Gathering Realm.
Seeing it breaking through with ease, Yuan Ming could not help but feel a little bit envious of the straightforward way of cultivating of the beasts.
Not only were they unrestricted of the limits of foundation being unstable but they also had sturdy bodies that they had from birth.
Opening its eyes, The hare jumped up and down testing out its body. All the injuries were healed because of the breakthrough.
Its body was even sturdier than before.
Looking at his new partner, Yuan Ming realized that he did not have a good way to call him.
"How about I give you a name?!"
Hearing his excited voice, the hare could not help but look at him with a skeptical expression but allowed him nonetheless.
"You have a night like fur, so how about little black?!"
"Squeak?!"
(Are you Dumb?)
Yuan Ming's lips twitched seeing the disdain in the eyes of the beast. He never thought that one day he would be despised by beasts.
"How about little fluff- Ouch!!"
He tried one more time only to be smacked by its agile feet on his face.
In one second, Yuan Ming was smacked a couple of times before he could even try to stop the hare.
"Okay! Stop Stop!!! I will not name you!"
Only after he gave up did the hare stop its feet and jumped back. Yuan Ming was already full of dirt and red imprints.
He was shocked by the increase in the speed of the beast after the breakthrough. It was only a level below him and was able to catch him off guard like that.
He rubbed his face to appease the pain he was feeling while thinking.
'My naming sense is not that bad! It's just that this hare is too demanding!'
"Let me see what else this beast has. I should gather material to sell at the guild. I remember there was a quest for this bison's horn on the guild board. "
Walking towards Yuan Ming muttered as he butchered the dead beast.
He had already registered himself as a mercenary at the guild as soon as he arrived in the Golden Edge City.
He was tempted by the rewards he could get after finishing the quests.
He would not only be able to get spirit stones for trading but also gain experience while completing quests.
Just like the rest of the newbies, he was also subjected to the newbie test but he was able to pass it without embarrassing himself because of his sword.
The sword shielded most of the killing intent for him, he only stood there with sweat dripping down his body.
If it was not for the sword he might have dropped to his knees while suffocating under the huge pressure. Yuan Ming was too shameless to admit this but he was aware of it somewhere inside his heart.
With skillful moves, Yuan Ming removed the horns of the dead beast.
After he was done with removing its organ, his eyes fell on the beast's fur. It looked a little weird.
The skin which should have been smooth was a little bumpy like something was engraved on it.
Feeling that it might be something good, Yuan Ming, hurriedly started removing the skin off of it.
Much to his surprise, there were words carved on the inside of the beast. He could not understand how words could be etched inside the body of a living beast.
Out of curiosity, he started reading what was written on it.
*Ba-dump!*
As he kept on reading his heart could not help but beat rapidly. Written on the dead body of the beast was a technique.
Not just any technique but a cultivation technique!!
